As a Indian guy living in the U.S, I have a group of about 9 friends(all guys under 30) who loooooooooove Taylor like no one else. I think people have just started understanding her artistic excellence and that's heartwarming. When you can appreciate songs like Work(which are overly sensual) there is nothing wrong in appreciating Blank Space

When people dislike each other’s music tastes, the most mature and respectful thing is to know that we can't feel whatever they are feeling from the art they enjoy, and they can't feel what we're feeling. Agree to disagree, and move on.
There's no need to be mad at someone for not liking the music we like, and they shouldn't question us for liking things we do.
But unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world..

Here is my boyfriend who is an absolute metalhead, listens to obscure bands and the kind of music snobs would call "superior,", yet he truly loves Taylor's music, specially after folklore and Evermore. Love that I can jam with him anyday, we both are swifties now.

It's genuine, funny and deep at the same time like this is what's happening. Suppressing one's interests for impressing others and to paint a common picture when there isn't such. But again, in the name of love and to be together😂I have seen many guys myself say they love Taylor Swift and by hard the lyrics. I hope there comes a day when they realize it's not good to try so hard for such unnecessary things.

I clicked the like button at 5:16 🤣🤣🤣 I literally can imagine the vibe when you found another swiftie who's a stranger but you can feel the same vibe.
This felt like watching theater. The prose, the pauses, the postures - all reminded me of watching a play for some reason. And it gave me the same feeling that I get whenever I hear Taylor's music where there is a part of me that has a revelation/panic attack about life and all it's what-ifs and another which just wants to sing along to her music and forget it all.

I think what matters the most to us swifties is that we feel seen by her. She's a storytelling genius and its like she's narrating our story! This is totally my interpretation. My take on this beautiful short video❤
I think the two boyfriends are kind of humans whom you call 'keeper' . Both of them want to know Taylor Swift for their girlfriend's sake. They are wonderfully trying to emulate that into themselves. But only to realise not everything is supposed to be for everyone. They cannot keep the pace. Both are in fear of losing their girlfriends.
The 'megadeath' lover bf goes inside the mall(almost because a part of him wanted to do so) and returns back all perplexed. This probably shows how much he is just trying to 'fit into' that he is losing the one her gf fell in love with.
And then comes what we say climax of the narrative. The inclusion of the stranger girl is important I believe.
I see it from my female perspective.
While they were still stuttering to recollect the rest of the song, the girl vibes in and 'completes' the lyrics.
'Completion' is important. Probably with typical female tendency to be kept in mind, their gfs are probably seeking attention. But the boys are rather looking at it as a performance deficiency on their part.
What this video wants to portray out I feel is to let the girl see your efforts. That is more than enough. Much like the stranger girl, if their gfs happen to be any normal women, they would like this mere attention that how much they tried.
Rest,,, she will "complete".
Men and women complete each other at the end of the day. Let the efforts be shown then we can work it together to 'complete' it.

I still maintain no one does storytelling like Linkin Park. And for the record, I love many of their softer songs better than their heavier and more well-known ones.
