      Truth is oftentimes uncomfortable and bad for public image so it’s much rather preferred for them to just ignore it and pretend like it isn’t real rather than address it. All the while we continue to live our incredibly cushy, luxurious, renewable-device driven lifestyles. It’s a sad state of affairs.

      It’s not even just overseas. The USA uses prison labor too, and a fair bit of that is unpaid / so low as to basically be unpaid. Slavery never fully went away in the USA, it just changed to be more hidden.

All those fake eco-warriors blocking roads and running their yaps, and NOT ONE of them have ever said a word about where the batteries for their precious electric cars come from. It's absolutely criminal what these people (many of them very small children) go through every day, and for pennies....😢

    Shabarra cobalt mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You need to inform people where this mine is located.
    King Leoplold of Belgium enslaved the people of Congo in the 19th and 20th centuries. Poor people who have suffered horrors for centuries.

    My mothers family where forced into slave labor back in WW2 they where polish and then the Germans took Poland . On Christmas Eve 1939 they shipped her family. Y train yo Germany yo work a farm for the German war effort and my Opa was forced to fight with the Germans . Crazy story especially the part when they were escaping the Russians omg I just found all this out in the last few years and my mom had been dead for 13 years now . My aunt told me all this crazy u had no idea

    Because the number of people to run an industrial mine would be FAR fewer and REQUIRE skilled labor. You can’t run heavy machinery if all you’ve ever done is artisanal mining.
    So every, single, one of these people would be unemployed. It’s the inconvenient truth. You’d destroy these people’s lives by enforcing industrial mines.
