The other day I went to the reception of the old metal.
And for a long time I was looking for suitable material for restoration, but unfortunately I did not find anything this time.
When I was about to leave, I noticed this old Hand Sheet Cutter, it was used by the owner of this place.
I asked to sell it to me, but he said that he uses it daily and cannot sell it. In the end, we agreed with him that I could take him with me to make a restoration video and return him back.
I think he will be very pleased with the result.
By the way, I also need Sheet Metal Cutting Shears for myself.

Save those old blades. Good steel to make other cutting tools. You do interesting work. Your belt sander is very well thought out. Watching that build video was intriguing.

I got one of these shears used 50 years ago. It's a wonderful tool, cuts like a champ.
I put a wooden 2x4" shoe under mine that extends out front about a handle length, and put a ramp up to the shear. This makes cutting large sheets on the floor a breeze.
I fully understand that the idea is to return the device to the original state of design, but 100 years ago security was not thought of as it is these days. The spring tip should be protected for shop use to prevent accidents. From Argentina my greetings.

My dad still have one and probably 15+ year old and still usable till now, it doesn't have the spring though, it broke when i was 14
