I dont think I've ever felt fear so viscerally in a video game as when Tifa had that close call with Sephiroth. My heart was in my throat!
The way Tifa says “Cloud please I need you” breaks my heart.

For anyone wondering about how to play as Cait Sith, I've been playing with him a lot lately to figure him out. First off, Let's Ride does a smallish AOE attack upon landing, which fills the ATB upon hitting an enemy. Get three enemies at once, that's 2 full ATB charges right there. I've found that his hold-square attack while on the moogle does surprisingly high damage while rapidly filling the ATB, and combining Moogle Kaboom with his dodge ability (can't remember its name off the top of my head) is usually a pretty high damaging combo, which often leaves you with enough ATB to repeat the cycle. Some of Roll o the Dice's results are pretty dang good, such as invulnerability to physical attacks, and getting that one Folio trait that gives the moogle a random 2nd level triangle ability upon being summoned is awesome, because they're always party wide buffs of some kind.
Aerith btw says: "I'm glad" Also the lifestream of Tifa and Cloud opening up to her is arguably the most emotional the game gets even better than the ending parts imo. Also have you noticed that there are areas like nibelheim gate, stargazing heights next to the areas Tifa sees? Also it's not really a change to say because as I said the other landmarks are there but it's a good way to give us an insight of why Tifa was able to do what she did during the OG
2:10:14 Of all the moments in the game, this conversation between Cloud and Tifa has got to be one of my favorites. Tifa steps up and shares her feelings towards Cloud and what he means to her. Cloud, in turns, bears himself, admitting how vulnerable and weak he feels. Tifa then steps up and reaches back to him, offering him her support.

Ohh this part! I actually love they made GONGAGA this more big and important (because Zack hello) and the story they added for Tifa, I think it's somehow to prepare her for the future (the other scene with cloud) so she knows what to do, the fact she didn't blame him i think it's because she understood that wasn't really Cloud. I'm happy they had that chat and he opened about it. Finaly.
Also.. I don't know how she ignoring the fact Sephiroth tried to kill her (with Cloud and in Lifestream) but it makes sense he does try because she is that important to Cloud.
I'm afraid for part 3 tbh 😅😢
In part 3 (the conclusion), it's Tifa's turn!

Thank you for playing this game here on CZcams Mandy. It is so good to see you back with streaming games after your break. Even if it isn’t live on Twitch for the moment. I started my FF7 Journey back then in 2020 with FF7 Remake on PS4, which was my second FF Game ever at that time. Didn’t played the Original before. Last year when I got my PS5 I was finally able to play the Yuffie DLC as well as Crisis Core Reunion on my Xbox. The OG I played this year before Rebirth came out but couldn’t finish it myself because was kinda get lost and the Turnbased Combat isn’t mine, like this new Action Combat more. But I liked the story so looked up on other Playthroughs and read about the rest of the Story in the Internet to get a better understanding for Rebirth. I am kinda on the same progress in the game as you here right now which is good because I could watch all your videos here so far.
I hated picking the mushrooms. I made a save before each mushroom. Atleast you're going for the Tifa date lol

For the mushroom plucking bit, I kept on restarting it until I got it right because I am a perfectionist lol

I hated the mushroom quest! I did it properly though because I wanted to date Aerith. I had to save and reload the third mushroom until I got it right!
about that "what she said"....the only person outside of devs that probably knows is Briana.....she knows...
2:13:53 not sure if anyone caught this but I wonder if this was a nod to Rinoa's same pose from FFVIII when she winked back to Squall cuz it's so similar to me.
I'm sorry but I cheered at the end of the chicken quest. It gave me the worst time, I cursed more doing that one quest than I did beating the entirety of Elden Ring 😂
Also, if you hadn't gone out to bring the chicken back, that levikron thing would have just gotten it anyway, lol it was doomed either way.
(Really enjoying this playthrough, thanks for the effort you put into it, I don't comment a ton but the chickens really got to me lol)
It's also worth it, if you have a save to go back to, to replay Costa del Sol. Tifa and Aerith have an adorable interaction if you switch between them enough. It's either well scripted, completely adlibbed and they just kept it, or was planned solely by Brit and Briana. But I love it!

All of it is in the Japanese version. They don’t let voice actors come up with things in AAA games usually.
@@jaybee4288 Usually, no, but sometimes a line or interaction is too good to pass up. A good writing team knows when to use it and when it just can't be. So if the original language has similar, it could also be those VAs saying something cutesy that was left in too. No way to know, but I still enjoy it regardless.
After watching this stream, this was the mother of all feels. 1) I will never forgive what Cloud had done to Tifa... sending her into a vat of mako. 2) The lifestream was the ultimate link to Cloud & Tifa's past. I hope Tifa & Cloud join together in the lifestream (I cannot spoil the conclusion to those who haven't played the original and a possible remake conclusion coming soon). 3) The bedroom scene between Cloud & Tifa was one of the most intimate romantic moment I have ever seen-- If it weren't for these two troublemakers Yuffie and Cait Sith.

@@jaybee4288 They all love each other. You are either not good at picking up obvious cues or you left the room during cutscenes too much if you don't see it. This game should be a reminder to people that it's ok and normal to have feelings for more than one person. (I don't mean cheat) Cloud obviously loves both Tifa and Aerith. Aerith loves Zack and Cloud.
They are both stuck in this position where they cannot act on these feelings too far because they know their heart also belongs to another, but they still show their love for each other. Thanks to game engines nowadays, good dev team, good writing, and VA, we can see many instances in this game where Cloud and Aerith are expressing romantic feelings for both Tifa and Zack.
Other than that. The whole party loves each other. Aside from the main plot, that's what FF7 was and always will be about, a group of people who all have their own backstory and reason to go on an adventure together and they end up becoming this family who see each other at their best and worst. They bond and grow together. It's never been a love story about two people.
2:13:48 in japanese, the lip animation is easier to read, it seems to say "Okaeri", wich means "welcome home".

She said "It's going to be ok" in the Japanese version. For some reason they just muted it for everyone else. I'm guessing maybe someone on the dev team might have forgot to do the translation.
You are correct Mandy. Gongaga was optional for most of the game. I think you wake up there at the inn at some point but almost all of it was optional. Your playthrough is really fun to watch, and you know more about FF7 than most of the streamers playing 😊

Oh is that what it is?? Someone told me to turn them off to make minigames easier so I had turned them off!
I swear that Scarlet is such a Shinra WITCH! Also Cloud was starting to lose his damn mind here and nearly killed Tifa being manipulated by hallucinations of Sephiroth telling him that was not her.

Am I the only one surprised by how uniform players are now by the Cloud/Tifa shipping? It's as if the Aerith/Cloud shippers have become the extreme minority.
It might be because of Crisis Core making people prefer Aerith/Zack.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't care too much for Aerith and Zack honestly. I just love the journey Tifa and Cloud go through together. I'm someone who has played the original game so having full knowledge of what happens definitely impacts my romantic persuasion.
Personally I think every relationship in this game, platonic or romantic is fantastic! I genuinely believe this group loves/cares for everyone in a very real and believable way. I have always been ride or die with Cloud/Tifa and I definitely still prefer her if only just, but I genuinely love his dynamic with Aerith in Remake/Rebirth as well. I just love that we have a game with choices that result in unique and original outcomes and it isn’t just a copy/paste scenario where Cloudx(girl) is the same every time. Love this game so much.

Well half of what happens in this chapter doesn’t happen in the original. With everything they have added or changed it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility that something bad could happen to tifa.
You mean the people who thought Tifa was going to die instead? Those people are nuts.
It’s a real shame she did not die instead. I don’t know what happens in later chapters but Aerith way more useful in remake than Tifa, and much better character too.
