    I would almost suggest that intelligence can make you _more_ susceptible to ideological capture, because you may have an easier time rationalizing away any cognitive dissonance that confronts you.

    The black economist Thomas sowell said it best. He’s like I hate Trump and Obama. He’s like I couldn’t stand listening to either of em knowing they’re lying as they’re politicians and all politicians lie etc. He said he compared Obama and Trump by the policies they passed. I’m like ya that’s good.
    Compare results and actions done not words spewed. Obama was used in my public speaking class as a great orator. He was great at speaking. But I like Thomas sowells idea of just comparing results of policy and not the lies they say over the pulpit.
