    It can be costly and time-consuming to look for a suitable manufacturer as a small art business, so today I wanted to review one of the manufacturers I recently purchased from. Vograce is a manufacturing company with a wide variety of fandom products, but most known for their acrylic charms and keychains. In this video I discuss my experience ordering from Vograce, and whether I think the quality of Vograce's acrylic products is worth it.

    I did so much research and everyone spoke so well of Vograce.. but I lost $500 AUD with Vograce. I waited 6 months for them to make my order and they made my charms all faulty and only gave part refund. I'm a single mother and this crushed me and I'm still struggling to move past it.

    Unfortunately Vograce is a perfect example of growing too fast and sacrificing quality because of it. They used to be great and reliable but it seems they're scaling so large now that they are becoming a hit or miss if the products will come as envisioned.

    I believe the extras comes from bigger quantity orders, like 6+ or 10+ of a single custom design. I ordered a couple of different key chain designs and a glitter sticker from them last month and didn´t get extras but I picked the lowest quantity because I only wanted the items for myself and a few close friends to gift. I also can say that the quality is really good and the prices are cheap when you compare it to sticker mule or some others. What I did not expect was how they messed up my order design wise. I ordered two different key chain styles with two different files but they used only one file for both key chain styles. This was kinda upsetting because I didn´t order this, and I didn´t confirm this in the cut lines either. I wonder how this could happen on such a tiny order. There was not much room for flaws like that. However, I contacted the service with a proof photo and they said they would make me a new batch of the ones gone wrong. That was two weeks ago. I don´t know if they work on this and send them to me, but I hope so. If they are smart and want to save themself some costs, they put them together with my second bigger order which is in the progress still. And I hope that there won´t be any file fails again because it is kinda bad when you expect one file to be used and you get that thing with a completely different picture on it. But I have seen some other people's reviews here, too and they also said they had some key chains missing or something. My advice to them would be to get some staff for end control checking.

    • @madameberry
      @madameberry  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah I've heard people getting partially missing orders/designs too. It seems a bit like rolling the dice to see if anything will go wrong. I hope they don't expand themselves out of business like some manufacturers I've seen. Crossing my fingers for you and your order!

      @@madameberry Thank you. Today I got an email from them with pictures of my finished order. I asume it happened because some of my items are a minimum of 10 per design. On my smaller order, I didn´t see any photos of the finished key chains. But for this one they did everything correctly, so the stuff should be complete this time. I now just wonder if I get my missing key chains, too because since some weeks, I have not heard back from the other person who was the case manager of my first order. They just confirmed that they will reproduce them with the correct picture.

    • @madameberry
      @madameberry  Před rokem +1

      It depends on how big the charm you want is. I usually give them a file that's a bit bigger in centimeters than the charm I want, and it's important for it to be at 300 dpi.

    Thank you for the insightful video! I was wondering if vograce could lump similar sized charm orders that weren’t of the same shape, sorta like what you did with the pill pins. Would lumping work even if the multiple designs weren’t all pill shaped?

    • @madameberry
      @madameberry  Před rokem

      Yes, as long as they're the same size and technique (like, whether the charm has epoxy, holo, etc) and I think the same clasp. I've lumped differently shaped keychains like that before.

    I ordered a few samples and although my files were at 300dpi, the print resolution of the charms looked dotted. Not sure how to explain it, but looked like if you compare a photography next to an image printed in regular home printed, the colors with home print will look dotted vs the photo paper which tends to look all solid and smooth. You mentioned bulk ordering and having different designs (the pill designs) and i just want to know what was the process of you bulk ordering? Like what did u say/ what did you send in? did you just type that you wanted a certain amount charms made for each design or did you word it differently??

    • @madameberry
      @madameberry  Před rokem +5

      Yes, I placed the order for the total amount and then sent an email with all of my image files and how much of each I wanted made. The file name also follows a particular format where I included "5pc" to indicate that I wanted 5 of that design.
      I believe this only works when the pins are the same size, as pricing changes depending on size.
      Also ask for digital proofs, as this will tell you that they've done it correctly.
