Hey all! In todays video I’ll be showing you all how to enable the JCW Force Meter using Bimmercode. OBD Reader: scpautomotive.... Use code BEN10 for 10% off!
Hi Ben, superb content as always, extremely informative and helpful. Question, I’m looking to convert my partner’s speedometer/ Rev counter (Cooper), to the latest digital display, is this something you may include in your future upgrades / modifications 👍👍👍
Aw what?! I just bought a 2018 Cooper and I see you say the app won't work. Just read reviews and see its causing major frustration. What exactly did the app do, could you connect maps to the screen. Obviously couldn't do it on my R56 so was excited to try it out on my F56 😭 Also, can you share the group you mention at the start of video? I'm looking for a retrofit armrest and driver side sun visor for above the door! Thank you, love these videos
Hey David! It’s a nightmare. I very rarely used it but I know a lot relied on it. If I remember correctly you could preload map routes, check service history, current vehicle condition, check current fuel mileage, unlock/lock the car and a few more bits too. There is another app called “MINI” which is the replacement of the old one but only works on the newer LCI models. Here’s the link for you: facebook.com/groups/852424938479717/?ref=share
Hi Ben, how did you manage to code the head unit with a car play unit installed? When I click ignore head unit I don’t get the option to code it but if I don’t ignore head unit then the app won’t connect
Hi Ben great video as usual, can you please advise me how you get into Head Unit when you have retro fitted Apple CarPlay? As my BimmerCode tells me the Head Unit is not available cheers in advance!
I’ve just got my 2022 f56 mini sport was just wonder if there’s a link to this f56 group would like to talk to mini owners and find out tips for my mini 😊
Hi Ben, a bit late to the game but is it possible to active folding mirrors on a 2017 F56 Cooper ( not Cooper S )using the BimmerCode app. I think I might need an OBD as well.
@@BenRolfe Hi Ben, thank you for your rapid response, much appreciated. I have only had the Mini for one week so am just finding my way around it. There is no obvious control to actually fold the mirrors only for the standard adjustment. so I can assume that the app would not be the answer. My thinking was that maybe folding mirrors was part of a package that had not been specced by the original owner and that it was possible that they had not been activated in the software. I have the standard Mini Cooper with the JCW pack.
Hi Ben, Is the payed version of Bimmercode is needed or the free version can be used as well ? Do you see any risks during the update (ex. lost connection..) ? Another question if you know not related to the video, do you know any uk or European shop selling magnetic badges and holder for f56 ? thank you
If the dealership installes a software update than everything is configured as the original vehicle order in BMWs database. If not, everything stays as you configure in Bimmercode.
I have a 2019 f56 Cooper , downloaded the bimmer app ( premium ) and there is no option for head unit , can anyone help ? I wanted to add the start up chimes
I have a '19 F55 MCS (LCI), and for me, Head_Unit has never shown up for me either. Prob just something unique with LCI's, who knows. But at least you know you're not alone.
@@paulb9630 I have not tried to code brake force display. Pretty much all I have is rear fogs lights as brake lights, outer rear tail lights as day running lights, Sport mode on startup, and some comfort access changes for mirrors etc.
@@BanksSteven yeah that sounds like a good few codes there, I’ve done the acoustics signal to lock and changed the alarm to US mode, also the Rear day time lights 👍🏼
@@paulb9630 Oh, BTW... just the other day I had the JCW Exhaust Tune Kit installed. So they did a re-write of the ECU. I was hoping maybe that would trigger the Head_Unit to come up, but it didn't. So this must be an LCI thing. Recoded all my shi-at this morning. 😆
Just done this and it works great on my 2017 Mini Cooper, thanks for posting
Very useful content as usual! Will get my F56 in a few days, Wish me luck
Thank you! All the best! Give me a shout if you ever need any help.
@@BenRolfe Thanks mate!
Mini connected app is still there but if you downloaded it before it’s in your past purchases

What about a short shifter for the beast ?

Where do you search the different bimmercode codes ?? Any web?
Thanks for this video, just done mine.

Hey! There are some MMI boxes that require removal to use BimmerCode. I think it’s the newer ones as I don’t have this issue on the older one.
This is so amazing.
How much is the dimmercode app and all the coding features add on costs?

How did u get camera full screen
Hi ben how'd you get the rear reversing camera?
This is the only way I can enable the ring. It's the only cool looking one.
Very Good, 👌

Do you have folding mirrors fitted to the car? If so it should be possible through the BimmerCode app

Any issues connecting the BimmerCode app after installing the aftermarket CarPlay? Mine doesn’t want to connect. Are you still using vgate icar2 WiFi?

Hi mate you don’t know anything about retrofitting heated seats on f56 do you?
Hi mate, I don’t sorry. I’d presume that you’d have to buy a wiring harness to run to the BDC but I could be wrong.
@@BenRolfe just ended up going for one that had them already mate cheers for the reply
Hey Ben, do you still using the Vgate OBD? Because I heard that its no longer supported by bimmercode app.
Hey! Yeah I still use that one, had no issues with it at all
@@BenRolfe Good to hear that, because I checked their website and I didn't find the Vgate in thier supported devices list
Hey Ben, G is missing in the title
How persistent are these Bimmercode changes after getting your car serviced?
