    In this video I teach you how to sidechain with LFO Tool. LFO Tool allows you to set a bunch of parameters like sidechain length, the amount of ducking etc. Besides that you can apply crazy effects while sidechaining.

    Had to come to this video for a better explanation on how to properly use LFO Tool for sidechaning, and it worked beautifully. Thanks a bunch.

    Adding an external instrument into your drum rack and then setting the note ‘receive’ value to the same as the sound you want to be a trigger means you can then route the MIDI out for cells individually 😊👍🏼

    Can you send audio tracks through the lfo tool for sidechaining? Am I stupid? Help!!

    Hi Mr Sampled, if I wanted one instrument sidechained to typical sidechain LFO tool, and another instrument sidechained to another instance of LFO tool with a different setting, how do I do this? I noticed in another one of your videos you had an LFO tool for side chaining snare and another for sidechaining kick, but I don't know how to do this...

    • @Oversampled
      @Oversampled  Před 4 lety

      Drumrack, group it, create two more chains, add external instrument to both of them, send midi from one to one LFOTool and from the second one to the second LFOTool, click key button and narrow the range for 1 to affect only C0 and 2 C#0 (or somewhere there)

    Hi ! Have a couple of question... I wanna use lfo tool to sidechain multiple busses and trigger with a midi ( like a sidechain compression ) how is that possible ?
    also, I want to know if it was to sidechain some plucks, that are on the kick ? try to do it but it seems to make the sidechained instruments weird.

      @@2.22.hz. hey man, apparently you can't, you have to create a new track, put LFO tool as a midi instrument and select an other track on his interface. I find that kind of stupid that you can't sidechain like the usual way...

    personally, at the moment I prefer automation clips to sidechain audioclips. It gives much more control and is also a very efficient way (with copy and paste methods). Do you see any big advantages using lfo tool?

    • @Oversampled
      @Oversampled  Před 5 lety +4

      It's handy. I used lfotool, sidechain compression normal and with white noise and just a volume automation. From all of them LFO Tool is the most pleasurable to use

      @@warpcloud i have since figured it out, but honestly couldnt tell you how lol. I started with an empty project file, Add an empty Midi track to be the trigger, set it to auto. then an audio trackset to in, then you have to select sidechain in the first midi track to connect the trigger with the LFO tool

    If someone still watching. You can also create external Instrument Rack with both kick and midi trigger. It basiacally works like two instrument playing the same midi pattern. You don't need to create second track which is cleaner in my opinion.
