I've got a recon V2 LS with their 55mm BH. Just found out yesterday that they make that in an inverted model. Dang it! But a inverted QDT is next on my list. Splurged and have a RRS Anvil-30 on the way to try on the Recon.
I made my clamp style tripod a ball head with Arca. Then took the parts on the clamp and made it compatible with my arca setup so I can run any rifle I want and it adds another 6 inches so I am not leaning over so much.

Another great gear video! Watching your videos really inspired me to give night hunting a shot a couple months ago and not being able to swing a decent quality thermal that I would be happy with I setup a budget rig with a sightmark wraith hd nv optic and using my bog death grip tripod and it only took about 2 hunts before I ditched the top saddle style clamp and ordered a desmond dlow-55 ball head and that was a huge game changer and was able to kill 6 Coyotes so far. Night hunting is crazy exciting! Keep putting out great content!
From the looks of it, it looks real similar to my Revics. Although they don't have the tension knob like the Revic. I had looked at the vortex, but the Revic works great, bought 2 for the price of a Vortex. They're almost as good of tripods as Magpul is a bipod! 😂😂😂

Yeah, I'm not worried about weight.... It gives me something to complain about after the fact because on the 500 meter stalk in, the adrenalin is doing it's thing. It's the last 200 meters on the walk back to the vehicle that shit starts to get a bit....old.
Could you give us an update on your helmet setup? Im looking for a solution to scan fields without constantly looking through the rifle scope. I had three coyotes come in from behind and spook at 50 yards a couple nights ago. Its hard to see everywhere when spinning around a tripod lol.

I don’t own a two vets tripod but heard they are good.I do own two fatboys and a sunwayphoto 40’mm tube and 55mm ball head for two years now and the fatboys have gave me more problems then sunwayfoto and paid $635 compared to $1000. They all are made in China from my research.

I ended up getting a QDT v2 based largely on your recommendation and I’ve been pleased with it. Also using the RRS arca clamp. Great setups.

Jumped into the tripod game with the invert qdt v2……love it. Super stout and stable. Dont know how it could get any better

I struggled with that for years, handheld scanner or a helmet rig is the way to go.
