Want to order a pair of these bad boys!! So how do the sizes come out? Do they come out small, ok or big? I’m a U.K. size 8 BUT I do want to wear thick winter socks with them as I have always worn 2 pairs of socks all year round (don’t know why, just always have since a young boy). My feet never seem to get too hot at all and I find shoes, trainers etc far more comfortable. So I’d probably wear a pair of normal white sports socks and a pair of Heat Holders over them .. I also have a very weak left ankle that I have to wear a McDavid support over … So all that said would you suggest getting a 1/2 size bigger to accommodate all that??

Good question, comment. I'm unfamiliar with your ankle support but... I got size 7.5 and do have 7.5 ASICS and inov8... asics and inov8 fit nice with a medium weight bridgedale sock. The LOWA are very comfortable with a thin liner bridgedale and a very thick wool sock. So.... Yes I would generally say to get your size (8 for you) and they will take a thick sock or two mediums. 👍 If your ankle support is not too thick, I could be OK, especially with this two lace method, as then you can have the relevant boot ankle very wide / lose. I keep thinking of doing an update on the boot. Don't worry,,, I'm still more than happy with them. Now get to ebay! 🤣👍👊
@@UK-Blue Nice one!! With say a pair of mountain boots I tend to get myself my size but if I wear a ‘normal sock’ my feet swim in them .. So I presume that your meant to wear good, thick winter socks (with possibly an under sock too that I’d 100% would wear) with them which then takes up the ‘slack’ as it were, they fit nicely and keep your feet nice and warm, But these don’t seem to be built to be ‘winter boots’ so maybe my feet won’t swim in them with just a normal sock … hence the question

On return and using the LOWA in the snowy peak district they were obviously strange but very comfortable. The trick I think is, thick socks and don't crank up the laces. Just have them pulled too... if ya get me. Also, I'm up by a river in Scotland at the moment and been stood in the water plenty while fishing. No leaks. 👍
Not really. They already seem big / over size. I got 7.5 in two pairs of trainers and just wear 1 thin to mid sock. These boots are also 7.5 and I wear 2 mid / thick socks. 👍
@@UK-Blue Just an update, I ordered a pair a half size bigger after reading about the Gore-Tex and also if you are doing long walks your feet tend to 'swell' but they were out of that size and recommended the next size up (a full size bigger which I accepted) I replaced the inner soul with wool liner ones and adjusted the lace system to one a special forces op recommended, and they now have wiggle room and are PERFECT. So, hope this helps anyone else out there. 😉
