Thanks for all the ASL videos you have made.

I'm newbie to ASL and this was very informative on how to organize everything. I didn't want to make my boxes useless, but I knew I'd have to store some things externally, this is a good balance. Much appreciated.

Hozan is the Ferrari of ASL storage. You can store the entire OOB of a nationality (yes, even the Germans with the SS OOB included), in a single container that's the size of a Starter Kit box.

Yes I'm also a Plano 3701 guy, best way I have found to do it but of course you cant have them in the boxes. I have one nationality per Plano when possible or in two Planos if I have to divide up infantry and guns/vehicles. I also organize the squads with the corresponding half squads next to them however I sort the squads by morale number so that may mean mixing different types with the same moral number although if there are a lot I may have several compartments with the different types. The boards I keep in the game boxes and all the scenarios in one of those boxes. At some point I'll probably Xerox all the scenarios and put them in order in a 3 ring binder.

Good work, I use a single box for all the BV units. The problem starts when you print more of the scenarios from the web and get some scenario packs or smaller modules. Then these boxes are starting to be too small....

For $6 at the Tractor Supply Co. I bought a laser guide for a circular saw and I use this for line of sight. It works great and for $6 how can you lose. No affiliation with TSC,

I use extendable lanyards for LoS too - it's the easiest and cheapest option.
Also, I always found that putting sticker labels on the lids of the counter trays / plano boxes I use really helps me keep things organised (and perhaps more importantly, really helps when the time comes to put everything back in the box) - you can get a sheet of 100 stickers for peanuts - I find that the 0.5"x1" and the 0.75"x1" ones are the most useful.

Interesting using the GMT “boxes”. Nice less space than my planos. They have ziplock/envelopes for binders for the overlays.

I use Plano boxes for everything except tanks and guns. For tanks and guns I use key envelopes. I copy and the pictures and vehicle notes from chapter H on each envelope. I use the boxes from the modules to store.

This is great for beginners, but once you become an experienced player who owns more than 3 modules, you've got to get a much more sophisticated system.

More than 3 years, and multiple modules and action packs later, I am still using this storage system with no problem :)

I also put all the counters in GMT trays, but I do exactly 3 trays a nation plus system counters in 3. But in Europe we have a different size folio (A4) and the papers don't fit, that is sad. Nice video!

I have all 4 starter kits and old SS counters from friend who got new black ones - SK 4 in post. Anyway I have considered storing counters by nationality but what about storing by the starter kits. So all counters for SK 1 infantry can go in one bead box and same with others? I also have a small bead box holding Swedish volunteers AP 15. what are your thoughts?

Fantastic. Are you close to providing us with an ordnance / tank play through? I am really overwhelmed with the starter kit instructions on tanks!

Have you checked Jay Richardson't tutorials? They usually answer most of the questions that new ASL players have: boardgamegeek.com/filepage/40482/jay-richardsons-asl-starter-kit-tutorials-properly Also, I remeber that this Clash at Borisovka AAR was very helpful for me: boardgamegeek.com/filepage/71354/tutorial-example-play-5-s21-clash-borisovka
