Hey man, great vid, ive really been digging these too, I just wanted to mention with the VCA and the drums you said it was a tube sound, Its just a VCA, voltage controlled amp. just don't want people tinning they are getting a tube sound if its not. Cheers mate!
Just the fact that you get a bundle for that price, they are resizable, and you are not paying monthly that is a steal. Comprssors are a work of magic. I don't see why when most studios don't use some compression while recording, it can make your the next guys job a lot easier, unless he wants to build from the ground up.
I wasn't a fan of the Opto on the Female Vocals. Then when you placed the FET one before it, that's when I think you nailed the sound. (Before it sounded kind of artificial to me, as if it changed the naturalness of said vocals). So I guess the combo works great on them. Still your production is top notch. Just found out about your channel. And I take it it's kind of new. Still, feels like you have zillions of subs and lots of experience. Cheers.

The Opto Compressor sounded the best but hey have you ever heard of or used the compressors at Variety of Sound? They have four free versions of this and they are free. Let us know which one sounds the best for us your fans.
I'm curious if the FET compressor is just a new GUI face. Would love to A/B these using Plugin Doctor. The original FET compressor by Softube is really good.
I have several versions of these plugs, but always love Softube. They nail the sound, and the workflow is great!

Can this compressor be used in line when watching Netflix?
SNAP to the drums, was that on purpose? (sound on the background, like a shot or hitting a hard plastic layer) lol

Mostly everything I track into the DAW goes from mic to La2a to Logic. Just 3-4db.
