Iâm glad Tiger found you. My cat Maddie found me from a nearby owner who didnât want to care for her. Maddie slept on me as later went through 4 heart operations. She kept vigil over our dog Wendy as she aged. Itâs now 2 years since I had to let Maddie cross the bridge and I still see her in my dreaming. Cats are such caring beings. @@CharGC123 you are right. Calicos have some white fur, torties do not. I realized my mistake after I posted. I was so taken back by her gorgeous face and her back story, I mistakenly called her a Tortie. My Tortie looked like she was tie dyed, so many lovely colors, all mixed together.

@@sarahalbers5555 I love them both! All my torties have been very smart, energetic, odd and quirky, yet the calicos were very placid and sweet. Luck of the draw maybe? I've sure had lots of awesome cats of all kinds in my 72 years, most all strays and rescues... except for a few untimely litters!
@@CharGC123 have you ever heard of "Tortitude"? If you have been a momma to a Calico or a Tortie, I know you will get this termđș. I have cared for all kinds of kitties thru the years, rescue and otherwise, and I love them all.
@@sarahalbers5555 No, but I love it! And as you said, I love any kind or color of kitty, each so unique in every way possible, and the epitome of grace and beauty! I certainly have no problem with adopting cats born different, but I get angry when people are purposely breeding cats for deformities ... like munchkins, pug faced Persians, and other atrocities that threaten their health or quality of life. An animal's appearance shouldn't be dictated by humanity anyway, when nature already perfected them over millennia! Cats are the best, but I love all animals... just never on a plate!

An outrageously expensive vet drops a polyp into a cats throat making her blind. Has all competency left our world? Yeah, give me a surgeon that can't keep his mind on what he's doing.

Would love more info - was your beautiful girl diagnosed with an MRI? Or other method? What a blessing that all went well.
Without knowing all the facts, you shouldnât insult the competence of the veterinary surgeon who treated her. My cat had a surgery to remove a tumor from inside her ear canal, and I was clearly warned in advance that she could end up with facial paralysis because of it (this is a well known, common side effect). Fortunately, sheâs fine.
This is already a delicate area, and itâs a cat, so weâre talking incredibly small. So itâs possible that while removing the tumor, they may have caused some minor damage to the optic nerve.
@@dragonwitch27 I had a tumor removed from my cats back. They said it didn't look good but would send it to the lab for a biopsy. After not hearing from them in a week I called and they said the results weren't back yet. this went on for three weeks until I went to the vets office in person. Turns out they didn't know where the tumor was. Lab said they never received it. So probably the nurse or assistant or maybe even the doctor threw it away. Maybe dropped it on the floor? It was gone. They led me on for three weeks know there would be no lab results. Now what do I do? Pay for an MRI? Can't afford it or any other procedure, so I wait. Wait for signs in him that he has cancer. I don't even know what I'm supposed to be looking for. I feel him all over every day but if it's not a surface tumor that is going to show itself, then what? I wait. I'm a wreck.

My orange boy saved me, I had a breakdown and was giving up, but then he came into my life. I named him Vinnie, it suits him so much. I love him and he has become my shadow.
So glad your good boy Vinnie entered your life and made it less sad. Cats are extraordinary creatures and gingers are the best. My last, Roger, is buried in the garden and I chat to him every day.
