This has nothing to do with NATO. These are counterinsurgency/terrorism drills. This is about internal control. Belarus has had some issues with the citizens recently as did Kazakhstan. China’s retired military soldiers started protesting again last week.

Any responsible country needs a bottom line. NATO's border exercises in Belarus require China to come forward to ensure that they do not cross the line.
