Yep. I started looking after my wavy hair 5 years ago and in the beginning I just scrunched my hair, but since I use the Denman brush, my hair looks so nice. What you do is called "Ribbon Styling".
I used to always think those were just old lady brushes because my grandma was the only person I ever knew who actually used them. She only ever had 4 different hair tools at her house. These brushes, boar brushes, combs and perm rods. When I became an adult, I thought it was strange that they still sold those kind of brushes but I guess I thought it was because old ladies aren't fans of changing what they know works and is the most affordable, especially one's that lived through the great depression and WWII. I even went to cosmo school back in 2012 and didn't know these were used for curly hair until last year. We just used combs for everything, except for blowouts, we used a round brush... but that would make sense because my grandma always had her hair permed.
So I know most people use the Denman Brush for curling, it started as a straightening brush. Vidal Sassoon used it on his iconic precision haircuts. I was taught his method before round brushes or flat irons. As a hairdresser, the #Denman brush was the best tool to learn about how hair works.
@@_maymie this is so called Duck lips. That lip came up trend since 2007. Its a sort of disorder because every girls thinks making lips feels much cuter. Which is actually not. This is why women tends to go clinic and get some botox on their lips or go filter. That's why.
Hi, not sure if you’re still searching for the answer to this but I hope this helps. If you want smaller curl clumps and more of them use more rows, if you want larger clumps and less of them use less rows. A good comparison would be a wide tooth comb (less rows) vs a fine tooth comb (more rows). For my 3a curls I go for 4 rows, anything more I’m pushing into frizzy territory, a tighter curl pattern could likely handle more teeth. The amount of rows you leave in your brush is personal preference and will likely take some trail and error to figure out what’s best for your hair.
Hi! After you shower how do you part your hair? You have gorgeous curls and I’ve been parting my hair straight down the middle and I feel like this only makes my hair curly from the bottom and never the roots 😫 pls give me some tips 💕
Hi! When I wash my head standing straight in a shower, my roots are always straight despite all the scrunching. But if I, for example, wash my hair, apply conditioner, then bend over with my head down and comb hair, scrunch it, wash conditioner off, apply leave-in and styling product and scrunch again... Then my roots are ok.
Make a video on how to section your hair lol I can’t do this shit lol
Word😂
swearrr
I'll be having a hard time with sectioning my hair to lol
LOL !! 🙈😂❤
Real

Still practicing this technique but my curls never look like this after using it 😂😂
You have to pucker your lips while doing it to achieve the curls
It’s the product
You have to have the right products and hair had to be damp or wet plus product.
Came here to look for my daughters hair.. thank you!!!!❤

What’s up with the whistle lips?
Do you ever get tired of judging people for no reason?
Wasn’t a judgment. Honest question.
I guess that’s just her go to face

A tangle teezer is doing the same thing but can detangle as well.

Link please. I can't find it in description or anything
My daughter's stylist also brushed the hair out 90 degrees from the head to add volume and not pull the hair down
What do you use for tangles ?
I’ve been searching for a Denman brush tutorial with an explanation of the amount of rows to results. The search continues.

Okay thank you so much for the tips! I’m definitely going to try this the next time I shower, thank you! 💟
My Denman brush doesn't slide smoothly. It always gets stuck and tears my hair off. You need to use some product with it, I guess.
IM HER 6K LIKE!!
Would u guys reccomend air drying or using a diffuser?
For curly/wavy hair it’s best to use diffuser.
Couldn't focus on the video because I kept trying to figure out what you look like when you constantly pout your lips. Figured it out - a blowfish.
Don’t y’all ever get tired of being obnoxiously mean? 😮💨 must take a lot of energy to actually comment this 😂
Lucky
Pin this if you’ll remember me when your hella famous
