- Summer is 🔥 and it not due to the warm climate! Epic boat side takes that make you want to double check your pants for stains, big fish and lots of action!
In this compilation video of last July, I've had a couple of sessions with Swenn and Jesper. Normally Summer fishing for pike is a big NO-GO but with the wet and cold summer weeks we have had so far in The Netherlands, the conditions are great!

Ow, the fish with the broken gill raker was fine by the way... an old wound that seemed to have healed decently as she was in good shape! Nice to see that they can thrive, though you always want to prevent it.

Ik heb deze nu met een gopro clip op het scherm gezet… maar als je scotty mounts heb zijn daar handige oplossingen voor, oa van 12BB
Is het ook effectief om boven echt diep water te trollen? Laten we zeggen boven een meter of 20.
Why release the first pike when it’s gill was clearly torn and hanging out of its head? Just threw it back to die!
If you look closely, the gill is already healed to the best of its ability (the tip is dark) and the fish was doing fine. Read the first pinned comment ✌️It clearly shows that killing it would be such a waste. So maybe think twice next time when you go on a killing spree 🤔
Hey, i was wondering what reel you would recommend for cast the heavy er baits 200g-240g like the roach. Because I’ve heard you can damage your reel if it’s not meant for casting heavy lures.
I use the SG10 300 or Abu Revo Beast; both work well 💪

@@joedoe79so you want to kill a perfectly healthy fish because of some old damage that has already healed? The tip is brown and the gill is raker is a bit pale showing that it isn’t fully functional as the others but she seems to do just fine ✌️
So maybe the guy who caught it before you, injured her and if i was him i would not release a fish with such damaged gills. But she is in good condition, so in this case i‘m wrong. But sometimes when i see videos with bleeding or injured fish, i think not every catch should be released…
