EVIL BROTHER OF STORM SHADOW: Bunker Buster - The German Taurus Cruise Missile and Its Capabilities

  • In the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the British Storm Shadow cruise missile has garnered significant attention for its long-range capabilities. This missile provides Ukrainian forces with the ability to strike targets at a distance. Another missile that could complement the Storm Shadow is the German Taurus cruise missile, which is known for its enormous ability to penetrate bunkers.
The name Taurus is an acronym for Target Adaptive Unitary and Dispenser Robotic Ubiquity System. The Taurus cruise missile is composed of three sections, with the nose handling navigation and guidance, the central section carrying the penetrator and tanks, and the tail section containing the engine. The German Air Force deploys the Taurus from the Tornado fighter bomber system, which is being phased out by 2030. The cruise missile has a range of over 500 kilometers and can autonomously fly to the target using four navigation systems. Its tremendous penetrating power makes it ideal for heavily protected targets such as bunkers or headquarters. The Taurus is also suited for targeting infrastructure such as aircraft shelters or bridges. After the Tornadoes have been retired, the Eurofighter will serve as the carrier aircraft. Each cruise missile costs around €1 million.

Thank you for this article I just been reading about the storm shadow and it's German counterpart. They only mentioned it to say that it is capable of bunker busting because it has a dual warhead. The first warhead breaks through The outer layers of the bunker allowing the missile body to penetrate where the main warhead detonates.
It was interesting learning more about this weapon.

When these cruise missiles are delivered to ukrainian Nazis you will realize that it is a waste of money. The british morons who delivered Storm Shadow missiles to ukraine found this out earlier. Their missiles failed to change the rules of the game., then they took them apart and realized how they worked. Now they are intercepted and shot down before they hit their target. Germany would not want to experience such an embarrassment. But the United States lied to the Russians that NATO was an alliance for defense. They will give Taurus missiles to ukrainian jewish Nazis and it will again not change the rules of the game in any way. But all the costs will be imposed on ordinary Germans.

07:03 I wonder how the missile would work if there was also twenty meters of dirt above the bunker. Concrete can't distribute the force very well and so it shatters if a heavy and hard projectile hits it at a great speed. Dirt on the other hand can spread the force more equally and might actually stop the missile faster, or at least more effectively as digging twenty meters further is cheaper than adding ten meters worth of reinforcement concrete? Maybe I am just getting some physics wrong here. I also wonder if you can just make the head covered in aerodynamic shell, which bursts about a second before impact, where a giant screw is revealed that starts spinning and digs the missile deep inside the ground. At that point you don't explode the entire payload, but you make several controlled explosions that are forced into a forward direction and explode at a frequency of around 13Hz, which is a frequency where matter shatters. In this case the missile would dig itself deep under the ground, and then releases a series of 39 explosions at 13Hz over 3 seconds, which would shatter the concrete without the need to first penetrate it. I also wonder how would a liquid hydrogen work for both a fuel and a payload. Let's say the missile can take 400L of liquid hydrogen, you would use however much is needed to travel to the target and then divide the remainder into 13-39 equal parts that will explode at the frequency of 13Hz based upon how deep the bunker is or how large its surface area is (for deep bunkers you would divide the payload into more parts to create a longer lasting shattering effect and for more shallow bunkers you would be better off dealing fewer, but more powerful explosions.)
