When did a game make you feel like a complete badass? Let us know!
In God of war when Kratos found blades of chaos
Mine has to be kratos the first gow, the first time I torn the wings of them harpies I knew I was in for a badass ride.
the first time i landed a backflip in Skate. for xbox 360
God of war
I felt tough when playing Call of Duty Black Ops and winning on Nuke Town and getting kill streaks as well as rewards for camping.
One of my favourites has to be in Ghost of Tsushima when you've played and played and unlocked all the stances and got good at the game and you can just walk into a village and literally take everyone out like Neo from The Matrix where the enemies just can't lay a glove on you, and then when you're done with them you just wipe your blade and walk off, love it!
Same man
Having your entire crew survive the suicide mission in Mass Effect 2, with that legendary music, is peak badass.
Did it first time, what a boss. The music is glorious in that sequence too though.
You’ve got to love Rosie, her entries are always impossible to predict 😂. And it’s always so genuine to it’s never playing up to the camera.
100% lol. I just showed her answer to my gf and we were laughing but it warms my heart. She's a real one :)
Not to downplay how great the actual video was, but the ending outtake had me in stitches...Dave's shocked face!
This!!
I love how laden with unintentional innuendos Access is getting as time goes on
So many moments but taking out a thunderjaw in Horizon is an amazing feeling special mention to batman arkham Knight when you jump into the batmobile for the first time. Press L1 to even the odds
I'm with Ash on this. The Ashtray Maze is one of the few moments in gaming that gave me chills with full on goosebumps. As soon as you put on the headphones and the music starts playing, it hits you! I particularly love the "Illusory, treading on reality. Polaris in a web of hypocrisy" lyrics and key change in that part. All I can say is "Thanks for the Walkman, Ahti".
THIS!!
I literally just beat Control a few days ago and yeah, I loved the moment.
The Ashtray Maze was great, but as a moment in the game it had nothing on Darling playing "Dynamite" =P
@@Vohaul86 OMG! How did I miss this in the game!? Just looked it up and wow :D
I will NEVER forget that moment for as long as I live. What an incredible journey.
To answer Dave's question at 1:14. Badass is one word when you're doing something cool, it's two words when you have bowel problems!
InFamous 2 when there's is a lightning storm and Cole recharges his powers, not from a measly car battery or lamp post but from the sky, bathing him in an aura of pure electrical power. Totally badass!!
I always feel like a badass whenever I finish a Palace in Persona 5 in one go. You get the slick outro with all the places discovered in one long list. It's so cool and I love every mintue of it.
Did Rob just recreate his BadARSE moment?
That's a whole new level baddarssery!
I bet he did it while casually walking out of the office.
I remember feeling badass when finally mastering the controls in Gravity Rush II, manipulating gravity like it was nothing and using it to my advantage
@@deltafive_o-first2417 Exactly
Having played games like Doom Eternal, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, etc. where I always feel like a badass, the one game that really went the extra mile in the badassery department for me would have to be Ghost of Tsushima. Whether it's killing five enemies in rapid succession in a standoff, strolling through a Mongol encampment and killing every enemy I come across one-by-one, or finishing off a skilled opponent in a duel by parrying their attack and slicing their neck open, there's just no shortage of moments to make me feel like a badass in that game.
THIS!!
I love how modest Rosie is, all the amazing things she's done in games and her trying to find an example that doesn't sound too much like boasting.
🤗👍🏻
Full combo on Cliffs Of Dover on Guitar Hero 3, did it on an arcade machine at Alton Towers and when I finished the crowd of spectators that had amassed gave me a round of applause.
My life peaked that day and I fear I will never reach such heights again.
Cloud in the opening mission for Final Fantasy VII Remake. Cloud is just pure badass. His dorky self comes out more later in the game but my goodness, that first mission.
Sure you can have over 1000 platinums, but when you hit a hole in one that is a true badass moment. I 100% agree.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Crashing the Star Destroyer using the Force, a classic
Rob's reaction 9:07 🤗 . . . You guys are always so fun. I love these 👏
Having just finished Control this past weekend, I'm totally with you Ashe! Best part of the incredible game for sure
Beating Sekiro including the optional hard as nails boss "Demon of Hatred" is probably the peak of my badass moments in gaming.
When Rules of Nature dropped at the end of the first boss fight in Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. It was the first time I experienced dynamic music incorporated with interactive gameplay.
On one of my first play-throughs of Skyrim, I was storming Solitude with the Storm Cloaks in the final battle of the civil war, and at that point I had already completed both the main quest and Dragonborn which meant I had both call dragon and bend will. So, I flew to Solitude on a tamed dragon, got off, and called Ohdaving when I could. I continued battling through the Imperial soldiers, until I reached the gates where I attacked a guard directly in front of it and as I got the killcam, one of my dragons swooped down and burnt the guy to a crisp.
Taking down the machines in Horizon Zero Dawn is super satisfying! I felt like a true badass taking on those giants. Getting headshots on those invisible Panthers. Also obtaining the shield suit, made me even more confident! Best open world game I've ever played.
Max levelling my characters and Aeons in FFX, doing all the Dark Aeons etc. Then getting to the final boss, summoning Anima and one hitting it with a basic eye twitch attack 🤯🤯💪💪
I am in this process now and as LONG and grueling as it is beating a Dark Aeon is soooo satisfying. Looking forward to hating Penance.
@@cici39177 I feel your pain! The feeling of how those Aeons can pretty much one hit everything in the game afterwards is worth it though. Penance is Hell, with the right set up and patience you will do it though. Good luck ❤
@@cici39177 My first play through. waaaay back when it came out, i discovered to be prepared enough to take on dark Anima. you'd need around 60hrs of grinding. I opted for a slighty easier way, Zanmato. Have enough funds and Yojimbo is your best friend. Not as satisfying but gets the job done. I found trying to separate the magus sisters a real pain.
@@666soulreaperuk666 Technically yeah, you can Zanmato everything, but I want the experience of the fight lol. I have been using the Don Tonberry AP trick to fill up the sphere grid but even still its a grind!
The first moment that came to mind for me was playing as Dante in Devil May Cry 3 for the first time. You have the awesome introduction where he casually gets impaled eating pizza before walking it out. Then, you get the brutal attacks with the scoring system making sure you know just how badass you are. But what really made it memorable was when I realized you could knock enemies over and ride them in a gun-shooting frenzy, just like in the cutscene. That was peak 2000s nostalgia with a character whose whole personality is badass.
Somehow I knew that would be Ash’s entry. The Ashtray maze is my second favourite part of Control; my favourite of course being the bizarre “Jessie is dynamite” scene.
Simply playing a Dante. Never gets old.
When I first fought Shido. Halfway through the battle I realized that the song playing ( rivers in the desert ) was awesome! I hadn’t heard it before.
@@Manudyne I would’ve played every persona and shin megami tensei if I could, but Atlus really doesn’t want people to play their older games lol.
Control!! Levitating and throwing chunks of walls at enemies is the best feeling ever , edit I just got to Ash's entry nice 🥰
When we get the blades of chaos back in God of War.
Ghost of Tsushima, heavenly strike, charm of heavenly rebuke. If you've used these, you know exactly why this combo makes me feel so badass. Also, the Sarugami armor, enough said.
YESSSS! The charm of heavenly rebuke made one of my favorite moves in the game even cooler. Also, the first time you get the 'Slaughter' command. Goddsdamn that scene and the fight is perfect.
@@madalice5134 Agreed! Gotta love how there was never any mention of a fifth stance and then as soon as you slaughter that first warlord, all of a sudden Ghost Stance. Bravo, Sucker Punch
@@madalice5134 My jaw was on the floor when I first read the effect of the Charm of Heavenly Rebuke. That charm alone makes a full *new game +* playthrough worthwhile.
@@madalice5134 One of the coolest moments was when I used Heavenly Strike when a Mongol was getting ready to kill a hostage. I used it on a different enemy, and the guy who was about to kill the hostage was struck by lightning. It's so nuts how perfectly that worked out.
Ghost of Tsushima, anytime I pick up the controller to play it. 😂
That was absolute genius to have the two guys falling outside the window that was awesome
One thing that always felt really cool was figuring out the enemy layout in any section of Sekiro & backstabbing everyone. As a side note, Rob, I think you would do well in that game.
@@Manudyne Me too. Rob is man of many talents, but Sekiro is probably not one of them.
Came here to make sure that at least one of you mentioned the Ashtray Maze from Control, and I was not disappointed! Seriously, that is THE moment.
Hmmm, beating Sephiroth in Kingdom hearts 1 and 2. Beating the cursed and defiled dungeon in Bloodborne, beating Kos on my second attempt. Beating the Nameless king and Midir. Conquering the Frigid Outskirts. So yeah, I guess Dark Souls is the game that made me feel badass.
@Amadeus C it was definitely the hardest bit of the game to me, even harder than the DLC. But to keep it 100 I still finished the chalice in two days. Ran through all the bosses the first day then Defiled Amygadala appeared and said sike to my one sitting run of the chalice.
@Amadeus C The watchdog was challenging for sure, but Amygdala was a bit more harder for me. the defiled chalice was definitely an experience that I’m glad I had. Also yeah I got BB platinum too. It was surprisingly easy tbh, especially compared to FF XV if memory serves me right.
I remember in horizon zero dawn, when you get captured and forced to fight a behemoth in the arena. In the end I shot a frozen cannister just before dodging It’s charge attack and it exploded into a popsicle as i turned away from it.
Also pretty much anytime you take on a thunderjaw.
Every time I play DmC basically, even if im not really good, still look badass ! And when you activate the Ghost Stance in Ghost of Tsushima, every body is absolutely terrified of you and you can slash through your enemies, soo good !
To me it will probably be the first time i played Devil May Cry. The change weapon mechanic from sword to gun was totally badass
I forgot about that first dmc, slashing and shooting, at the time that was so amazing and come on Dante is such a ba.
But mine has to be kratos the first time I torn the wings of them harpies I knew I was in for a badass ride.
I agree with Ash. That moment in Control when you got the Walkman and the music started to play.... total Badass moment. Aloy is also 100% Badass.
i won a Circuit City sponsored DDR tournament in California when i was 13 and that was probably my badass peak
A complete Ghost run in any stealth game is always very cool. Or the first stage of the final boss fight in Sekiro against Genichiro, it's so easy now you've had practise compared to his original boss fight it makes you feel badass.
Bad assery according to:
Rob --> walking at a leisurely pace
Rosie --> luck
Dave --> learning
Ash --> bloodshed
"The Chase" scene from Uncharted 4 makes me feel like such a badass.
Oh my gosh, Ash. YES! That is such an amazing moment! I listen to the song all the time still. Haha
Couple of really badass moments , for me:
1: Control- The Ashtray Maze with a headset on is incredible!.
2:Infamous Second Son/First Light: Using Each Karmic Streak ability for the first time (Special Shout out to the "Excessive Force" trophy for using a Karmic Streak attack on One enemy 🤣.)
3:God of War: Killing an Enemy by Intentionally Calling the Axe back through that enemy or beating the valkyrie queen.
4: Tomb Raider 2013: The Moment you get the grenade launcher.
Sometimes, I’d like to, maybe, one day, see them bring on a guest to participate in a Tuesday checklist discussion.
When I got the Hollow Knight platinum by beating Absolute Radiance on my first attempt. I've never felt so badass again.
Fighting the dragon in God of War 2018, the Ashtray Maze in Control, gaining the Ghost Stance in ghost of Tsushima…
I'm very much in agreement with Dave. The most badass I've ever felt playing a game and in this case (shout out to Nath!) _The Witcher 3_ was when I had finally read over the monster manual enough that I didn't need to reference it _at all_ to know what oil to apply to which of my two blades. I loved being able to know that a Giant needed Ogroid Oil and I didn't have to check. Or that the Leshens required Relict Oil and so on and so forth. Felt like a proper Witcher.
Fab video as always!! I definitely felt badass when I finally defeated Shinra Top Secrets in the Final Fantasy VII Remake! Getting that combat to click, stacking combos, and earning that sweet victory! (I'll ignore all the previously failed attempts and rage quitting!)
Going through the developer times in CTR:NF made me feel like a badass every time I beat one. They are immensely difficult and, while I haven't beat them all, I have got more than half of them which I am very proud of.
I felt badass when i first unlocked the ghost stance in Ghost of Tsushima! My jaw dropped
I'd rate a perfectly executed extended standoff just above this.
A little bit freaked out as before Ash mentioned the ashtray maze, I was thinking that would be mine. It is brilliant.
As soon as I saw the title of the vid before clicking on it, I said "Ashtray Maze from Control" out loud as my own answer. Ash knows what's up.
“As they fell to their deaths. … I just felt AMAZING”. - best channel ever.
"on webcam as well" - Dave has always been low-key hilarious
Stand offs in ghost of tsushima just walking up the a camp announcing yourself and just standing there pure bad assery lol
I genuinely love the Tuesday checklist. Great stuff as always guys
An Always Sunny quote on PS Access... life complete!
Shadow of War. Decapitating 3 Ork Generals within like 10 seconds. Oh my god, it was so unbelievably satisfying.
Lots of comments already describing some badass moments I felt, so I'll go with this one... AC3, escaping the city as Connor, filled with red jackets, all aware of where you are... fighting thru them with your tomahawk and chaining brutal finishes one after the other was probably the most badass moment of AC to date! For me, at least... lol
The Ashtray Maze was what I was thinking throughout the video. It's still pretty fresh as I only played it for the first time earlier this week. So so good. Glad it got some recognition. Absolute banger. Cheers Ahti.
Riding Odin down the beach in Final Fantasy XIII-2 was pretty badass! Ashtray Maze for definite as well!
Yakuza/ lost judgment games make me feel totally badass! I go looking for fights🤺
I felt the most badass in the New Orleans - mission in Wolfenstein II: The New Collosus, in which you are riding a Panzerhund.
I feel like Dave's most badass moment was when he drove a car on tires worn down to the canvas, the lad should be deed! :)
Love how none of the NPCs react to them falling past the window.
The beginning of Star Wars Force Unleashed when you play as Vader was probably my most badass moment in a game.
(Listens to The Old Gods of Asgard)
I'm gonna go buy Control now.
I literally said Control out loud when I clicked the video, I'm so happy someone agrees!!
Sniping in Battlefield games. Lol long distance headshots on infantry, people trying to counter-snipe me, sniping drivers/ pilots and passengers in vehicles. A damn good feeling every time you land a shot.
I always feel like a badass on any NG+ run on a soulsbourne game. Most notably Sekiro.
The leap from trial and error on a blind run to near perfect on second playthrough makes me feel great
Ashtray maze is hands down my most favourite gaming moment ever.
I feel Rob is doing very well in his side quest to get Skyrim in every PlayStation Access video.
The best badass moment for me was when I was super on the zone playing Returnal, and beat Phrike without getting hit. Dodging all their backhands, ducking and weaving. CHEFS KISS
Beating any Fromsoft boss without getting hit. I only ever did Gundyr without getting hit, but still...
The gameplay of Nioh, Sekiro, DMC5, Absolver(or SIFU) makes you feel so badass.
Every surprise attack in P5R, the music make the badass feeling
Nerds Rule, Rob!! - Ash Millman 2022
I’ve never felt more validated in my life. 😂😂
2:08 I will never go skydiving. EVER
The most badass thing I've seen on Playstation Access is when Rob took down that Stormbird on stream! That's still probably my favorite stream of all time. Rob you're my hero!
Castlevania SotN fully powered is the most badass I’ve felt in a game
I felt like a badass after beating Alien Isolation on nightmare difficulty, the xenomorph is really aggressive on nightmare difficulty. Also in Dark Souls remastered I defeated both Artorias and Kalameet on my first attempt and that made me feel pretty badass as well.
Yeah, but did you get Kalameet's tail?
@@damonke79 unfortunately no I tried to get his tail and I wasn't able to.
@@Jonathon_Hennessey Yeah...I couldn't get the tail solo either.
Connor in Detroit Become Human, Kratos in God of War, and Dante in Devil May Cry. Special mention to Selene in Returnal but it's new to me.
Awesome video guys n gals across the pond!
@11:25 dave "or climbing". I still remember rivs rage hahaha
The first time playing bloodborne and I hadnt played any souls games before it, getting the kirkhammer and absolutely smashing thencrap out of everything! Also the moment you first upgrade your weapon, re-enter the level and completely own everything in it. That sense of power is a beautiful thing
"Can you just imagine the commentary on the PGA Tour on TV, "Oh, that is BADASS!"
When I FINALLY beated the pantheon of Hallownest in Hollow Knight, definitely! Finally being able to beat Absolute Radiance to pulp after beating all others below him, it made me feel like I was on top of the world🤩
Titanfall 2. The moment you call in your first Titan and it drops in at high speed from orbit and hits the ground.... Whether it was the 1st time or 200th time, it is a great feeling.
The first perfect lap I got in Wipeout Omega Collection!
I finally got a chance to play Bloodborne at a friend's place a few weeks ago, and after several tries (and I will add it was my very first PS4 game and time with a controller), I beat the Cleric Beast all by myself, no summons! And just before we had to pick up our take-out, too. So proud.
Saints Row The Third
Racing to save Shaundi at the end while Bonnie Tyler's "I Need a Hero" blasts in the background
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor - Shadow of War. The War chants that hype up the enemy battle made me feel like I was alive and a baddass !!
Mercer the sentient virus man was a super badass. Prototype was such a fun game, I really want a remake or a 3rd in the series!
I’ve done a training room combo in the Bloody Palace on Devil May Cry 5. It was a right of passage moment
The girls sending everyone into hysterics with various double entendre (intentional or not, to be debated) gave a perfect book end to this video!!
The mission in Far Cry 3. You know the one.
Fighting Phantom (the big lava spider) on the castle roof in the original Devil May Cry. Standing on his back and unloading clips into his back was particularly bad arse. I was about 12 at the time. I feel I might have peaked there and then.
God of War (2018) when I got used to the combat and I could parry consistently. Making Kratos swat an enemy's attack aside combined with the slow motion effect extending the duration of the sound of a successful parry changed everything.
I came to talk about the hall fight in Sifu, and you guys had to start the video with it 😂
