16:28 Robs new Poem entitled "Gamer Rage" I was furious with myself I was furious with the game I was furious with my Dad for not understanding my pain
An ode to the despair that is Neo Cortex from Crash 3: Warped...Parents don't understand the utter heartbreak of having all your hard work stamped out like smoldering embers (as a gamer that survived the rock hard games of the 90s and the early to mid naughts, this rings true).
Going from David"no platinums" Jackson to "Yeah I've got the platinum for Bloodborne no biggie" , started from the bottom and now we're here type of a moment
@@deetsitmeisterjd well he does appear to be the best Bloodborne player out of all of them, remember the Cainhurst Christmas challenge? Dave aced it while the rest of them floudered about.
@@deetsitmeisterjd gatekeeping other people’s achievements. Not cool. Help or no help platinuming a soulsborne takes time and energy most gamers don’t have.
I was doing a Gran Turismo 24hr endurance race on one of the older games that were still good. Through pauses and catnaps I was almost finished and counting down the final minute, passing the finish line right before it ticked over only needing to complete the lap to be done...and that was the last thing I remembered after waking up the next evening in last place going full throttle into the wall in turn #1. I didn't play that one again.
The "take no damage whilst in the tank" in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood during Leonardo's War Machines missions. I got within one hit...and forever does my sync remain at 99.5%.
yep, that one time you've been fighting for an hour plus, you stay calm, you know you can do it and you react wrong or think boss is doing one move when it's another, or so your body says, you bottle it and you know you should have won, and after all that at some point you pick yourself up and try again, and you still have to think that you can do it. This comes from someone who's platinumed all of the soulsbourne games, including remasters and rereleases (dark souls 2), sekiro too, what a series though!
I feel everyone missed Ash’s “me too” comment regarding Ceaseless Discharge as there was no reaction. I caught it Ash, gross and hysterical! Well done!’
Watching Ash and Rob having to try to pretend they don't have PTSD while Dave is talking about the Chalice Dungeon is painful for me. Dave's one is relatable. Rosie's one was great. Rob's one is devastating. Ash's one also relatable. Esp the teeth thing.
Same but just the first time you meet it which is nowhere near the same level as you but the same boss. I just can't and I was getting the controller drift (Switch not PS) at crucial moments. Just no. It added about 20 hours to my save and I still haven't got that ending. I'm not going back.
The video game defeat I can't get over is the tutorial on Driver for PS1. So much so, free play was my whole experience of the game. I feel many know this pain
So many people suffered on that, but most I knew didn't realise it have you all the instructions to pass it on the manual. I "unlocked" the game for at least 3 of my mates without owning the game just because I read how to do it.
@@OnyersixForLife I didn't know that. Not sure if I'd have had the ability to do it though even with instructions. Being on a timer made it so stressful
I defeated Amygdala the other day with Queen Killer and Madman. Soon it will be Queen of Yharnam and I need one ending for the platinum. Thanks PS Access because I was almost in Rob's situation and it was so nice watching you that I give the game a second chance.
Currently playing Gran Turismo sport. The GT series has handed me more defeats by small fractions of a second than my love life... at least the replays are more entertaining.
I just love Rosie's descriptions of Mr. X. He's a bit of a tough egg; or he's not a happy bunny. While my descriptions of Mr. X usually include expletives... a lot of expletives....
Original Modern Warfare, mile high club on veteran. Spent over 4 hours on the otherwise 40 sec level. My hands got sweaty from holding the controller too tightly and screaming at the tv. There was a moment when I can see the door that leads to a cutscene and than I got shot at from the side. This particular a.i. broke out of his flash and ended me. I gave up on it until the remastered came out and decided to give it another go. Either the remaster tweak something to make it easier or I just got better or lucky, did it in one go. Will never forget the first time I went through it.
Ash says she doesn't get mad at games, but I remember some pretty spicy takes about Sekiro back when she was at WhatCulture. Maybe someday we can have a Plati-Monday with Ash and the One Armed Wolf? Might be fun... for us.

Great video again! It took me 15 minutes and bit of luck when I defeated Amy in defiled dungeon. But I did it for at least 10 people after summon. Among all the platinums I have, the witness challenge trophy and path to reach it were most difficult things. It is even difficult then any dark souls or sekiro or bloodborne boss.
bloodborne was my first soulsgame. Defiled amygdala took all my insight, well over 60 madmans knowledge for help(i played offline so npc-only). it legit took me 7months but when I beat her and got my platinum soon after I feel in love with fromsoft.U cant pay enough in this world to get the same feeling again.

Idea for a Tuesday checklist or Friday feature. 7 hard games we inexplicably couldn’t beat. Eg, I’ve beaten bloodborne but I will never complete jak 2 renegade.
Wasn't really a defeat, but it was a memorable game spiting. Playing Dark and Light with my cousin, during the OP panther stage. We had bunkered down into a well constructed base to protect our pets and supplies. We were dodging and weaving the excessive panther spawns at this point because we couldn't defeat them in combat yet and one day my cousin just walks out the front door and I was deriding him for not being cautious knowing that the panthers are all over the place. Not 10 seconds later I go to leave out the back door, look out the window, make sure it's clear, open the door and no less than 14 panthers are sitting at the door and immediately jump in and proceed to destroy our pets and there was nothing either of us could do about it.
My worst one is during destiny 2s garden of salvation raid while running for divinity We had made it all the way to the final boss after 9 hours We had all puzzles solved it was the 4th damage phase because we'd fumbled the tether And we had him almost dead a small slither and then we got exploded due to the platform being deleted We all cried screamed and swore because 3 people left and this was 3 hours from reset
"Tough egg" "Not a happy bunny" bless you Rosie, and your wholesome vocabulary. I don't think I could ever have a monetized CZcams channel, because I would be far too explicit talking about these fights. "Mr. X? Yeah, he's a c**t."
I have a few reasons for not completing games, but only one time was because I couldn't actually do it. Ninja Gaiden 2, a boss fight against two armadillo things, I must have spent 20 hours trying to beat those things over a few weeks until I just called it quits and stopped. I couldn't lower the difficulty, I had got that far, it would just seem like cheating.
KH1... platinum match... To this day I still remember the sliver of life Sephiroth had left when cast fallen Angel before teleport slashing me... a broke a controller and had to wait a week to get a new one to play again. Still took more several more times to win... It was at that point I truly understood why Cloud hates him... because I do too.
For me it would be losing to an almost knocked out dr B in Tekken 3, after getting through Tekken force mode 3 other times for the keys and then losing and not unlocking Dr B, was a rage of note from a young me, hilarious that Dave went with amygdala
The only time I was ever really upset is being a hit away from defeating Orphan of Kos on my second attempt and he barely got me. I was so furious. Took me 14 more attempts. There may be others but I usually just stop playing for a day.
I also have a Bloodborne nightmare. Also, it the chalice dungeon area but after Amygdala. There was a boss with a really long sword and you had to fight it in a small room with lots of obstacles. I think I tried 30-50 times over a week or so. Then the moment came when I snapped and then disk was snapped and I didn't touch Bloodborne for four years.. but I did eventually return to get the plat (last year). However, this completely changed the way I play games and I now play multiple games. So, if I get frustrated I just play something else.
Digimon rumble arena on ps1 I beat it with everyone except veemon I sat on that reapermon fight getting slapped around for so long truly the first game I rage quit and never touched again
I am a tremendous fan of valkyria chronicles 4 i had a blast playing it and learning the techniques of different troops and everything but the final battle i can not get past the ferocity of the agroed troops. They get first strike and i get absolutely dominated.
At first I was: "No. I don't know of any rage inducing game at the final stage/boss." Rage inducing. Oh, wait! Need For Speed - Underground and its rubber band A.I. I played this on PC. It really took some time to realize, that I had to make a mistake early in the race to have a chance at the end, but eventually I beat the game.
Urisin in DMC5 I had maybe 3 hits to go and he hit me with 3 of those big red fire balls in a row and screwed me out of the gold trophy for killing Urisin in the prolog
I'm currently stuck on Blood Starved Beast for my first playthrough of bloodborne. Twice I've gotten him down to the last hit and he just 1 shots me from full health. Lost all my antidotes, fire papers, and about 10 levels worth of Echoes. Intense rage.
Question will the PS5 Pro have Duel jet engines? i really wanna push that 8K120fps on GTA VI and realisticly hear the sound one of the jets sound through the console
I'm not very good at flying games so this may seem easy to some but Star Wars Squadrons. The bit where you have to blow up carrier ships as an Empire pilot by blasting them with destruction cores in a sea of space debris. I got stuck for a while. I eventually got down to one ship, the commander literally said it and I lost sight of the last one but found it, nearly destroyed it and it was nearly destroyed but still hyperspace jumped and I failed the mission. Eventually I got it but I snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I was in VR mode so I was sweating even more.

God of War. Sigurn. Easily 20+ attempts. Her health bar was so low, you could barely even see it. And she...just... ;_; Did eventually beat her. No other platinum has felt as good.

for me it was the metroid prime ridley boss at the end, the first person game on the gamecube, to this day i still never beat it lol but i came so close once maybe a single hit away
I foolishly used to run through games. Granted other than rpgs and 3d platformers, games didn't have much outside the critical path in the 80s and 90s. The life sharing chalice fight against Zarok in the original Medievil changed that. Because of that fight, I became a completeionist! Vowing never again to get caught in an unwinnable situation just because i didn't go the wrong way first. A special mention to the plane tyrant in RE:code veronica who is designed to punish you for exploring by making it difficult to beat him, the more you wasted ammo scouring rockfort island for secrets.
Mine is fighting Lingering Will on critical mode. The moment when you think you’ve won, so you let your defence down and go in for the win and it always ends up with the game over screen. Don’t even bother with horror games on anything harder than normal.
I managed to beat Amy in defiled Chalice by myself on NG+3 but it took me 8-10 hours for 3 days to finally beat her. In my opinion she's harder than the DLC bosses
I'm about to do the chalice dungeon Amygdala later today. Ive done it several times but I dread it every time, even with the Ludwig Holy Blade cheese method. P.S. Dave is rocking some awesome threads, I want that shirt.
Yakuza 6. The final boss. I was at it for hours then finally I'd got his health to zero but he hit me at the exact same time and I had to restart it again
Mine was playing Zombies Ate my Neighbors on SNES. I made it to the end boss after my friend's character had perished. I was somehow able to survive four more levels on my own but it depleted my health aid and weapons. So, I got to the end boss who transforms into a giant spider. I end up taking him out, with one little notch of health left. Thinking I won. Nope! Guy transforms again, into a giant head and puts me down quickly. Since it's an SNES game. All you get is a code that starts you a few levels back. Without any of the weapons or health you've acquired thus far. Meaning you'd need to go further back and hope you survive long enough to stock up for the final boss again. 😱 Nightmare!
I will never get over the desperation and countful of defeats I had with the Black Fatalis (the first time you meet him, on a one on one) on MH iceborne.☺
I know Rosie's pain on my very first playthrough of Re2 Remake I got to the end boss fight with Mr X and had enough ammo but just not enough health and couldn't dodge good enough and ended up restarting the whole game 🤬

for me it was the metroid prime ridley boss at the end, the first person game on the gamecube, to this day i still never beat it lol but i came so close once maybe a single hit away
I can relate to Ash's pain in Returnal.
Mine is fighting Lingering Will on critical mode. The moment when you think you’ve won, so you let your defence down and go in for the win and it always ends up with the game over screen. Don’t even bother with horror games on anything harder than normal.
That was the moment RED Rob was born😂
I managed to beat Amy in defiled Chalice by myself on NG+3 but it took me 8-10 hours for 3 days to finally beat her. In my opinion she's harder than the DLC bosses
I'm about to do the chalice dungeon Amygdala later today. Ive done it several times but I dread it every time, even with the Ludwig Holy Blade cheese method.
P.S. Dave is rocking some awesome threads, I want that shirt.
I've definitely had moments like this. There are way too many times where I've almost beaten a boss only to lose.
Yakuza 6. The final boss. I was at it for hours then finally I'd got his health to zero but he hit me at the exact same time and I had to restart it again
I just tanked ceaseless discharge he first time I fought it. After that I found out you could make him jump off the cliff.
@arcaneguyver haha, that's for sure! 😁 Haven't played it in ages, I think I might revisit it sometime soon.
I will never get over the desperation and countful of defeats I had with the Black Fatalis (the first time you meet him, on a one on one) on MH iceborne.☺
ooooh, one for me is Behemoth. One run me and some friends were doing I just... some how got one-shotted because he thwapped me with his tail....
@@marhawkman303 oh yeah that too, man..good times, hard times 😄
Love you guys great video but has anyone mentioned Dave’s shirt, was it a bet 😂
I know Rosie's pain on my very first playthrough of Re2 Remake I got to the end boss fight with Mr X and had enough ammo but just not enough health and couldn't dodge good enough and ended up restarting the whole game 🤬
Dave, Get in the onsie!
