    With all due respect mr melon I think you’re dead wrong on the primus comparison. Primus made wandering, chaotic tracks with superfluous ventures on the bass or guitar here and there.
    Black midi’s welcome to hell is a much more driven, focused style. The instrumentation is down right methodical, everything builds to a meaningful tool when the narration needs it. Or is it the other way around?
    Anyway, I don’t think it wise to compare primus to black midi when all they share is a hard math rock style & spoken word. Beyond that surface level analysis the music shares little similarities.

    • @vicvinegar5709
      @vicvinegar5709 Před 2 lety +22

      You’re effectively being the heavily memed version of the guy who hears a Radiohead song and says “that’s just a Coldplay song”. Yes they both sing in high falsettos and play indie rock, but that is a bonehead analysis

    • @Kaasgeelheid
      @Kaasgeelheid Před 2 lety +57

      C'mon, while I agree with your comparison, if you're expecting someone to deliver a high-level analysis of one of the busiest songs I've ever heard, directly after hearing it for the first time, you're delusional. It's simply a fun comment that rings somewhat true
