- Toys R Us Closing Cranberry Township, PA. One of the nicer stores I've visited. I've been shopping at this one my whole life. Going to be sad not being here anymore.

What sucks is that these very nice buildings will probably never see a second life, they'll just sit empty forever.

Sad to see yet another store closing
Grew up nearby, decided to look this store up and found your video. My older brother had a job here when he was in high school, I was just a little kid, and I got to go back in the warehouse and see the shipping- back when places were cool like that.. When I saw the bike isle it really hit home. I specifically remember the last time I was ever in there, me and my best friend got SCREAMED at by an employee cause we kept riding the bikes too fast and were trying to race eachother. That was almost 14 years ago…. I also remember the giant Monopoly board they had up on the wall. If you haven’t already, do a good walkthrough of the Clearview Mall in Butler. I went there last month and it is almost completely empty. A few chain stores- Spencer, Rural King, Texas Roadhouse. But the mall itself is truly ghostly. I sat in my car and cried over it. I had been to that mall probably 100 times in my life. I was thinking of getting my own footage of it soon, because someday it will have to be closed down too. We truly live in the end of an era.
Another awesome video and I see the sadness in your face and hear it in your voice. Can't believe how this store cleared out so fast. I'm guessing it's the Friday night and weekend shoppers who swooped in like locusts and grabbed up bargains. Wonder how many of them really care that a retail legend is going to dust.
Glad your got your basket. Never EVER call yourself crazy. You appreciate vintage retail, which I consider art, and you should just get what you want and enjoy it. I get it.

When Toys R Us is coming back the one in Atlanta Georgia over there by where the Stonecrest used to be for the same things day and tell furniture store
They are closing a day after my Birthday and I got my first bike at a Toys R US, Irony.
That's when out TRU stopped assembly services too. Also my husband's birthday. How I remember the date on the sign because it's been since the middle of May since I was in last.
Must've been a company-wide date.
I used to go to toys r us I’m Rochester Minnesota to get toys before surgery during my childhood, I’d get iCarly toys, and stuff to bring to hospital, sad to such a big part of my childhood go

All these stores have pretty much remained fully and completely stocked since they first announced they are closing. I know they had a lot of distribution centers to empty too, but WOW! All of a sudden, these stores are barren! So creepy, sad, and I'd even say scary!
Why does it have to go? It’s my life. I live in Erie and it sucks that there are no more big toy stores here.
Mason Fryling same we live out in the county and only have a Wal-Mart with a next to nothing selection for anything always went up to the Erie one once a month to get stuff we could never find or if we were looking for certain things we always checked there visited for the last time last week with my daughter it's so sad as every where else just doesn't have even a fourth if the selection of toys they offered we always did the kids back to school shopping there also as the deal for a backpack and lunch box was the best around too
Susan Innes I used to live out in the country and it was hard to get food and stuff like that. Now I live like 3 minuets from a Walmart! Lol
i stop 3 to 4 times a week with my little guy and its sad to see a once great store fall so quickly and painfully

I think all the Toys R Us in the U.K. stores are shut. A British electronic store called Maplins, went of business .
Some U.K. high street shops closing some shops, to keep the business going. Like Wallie B 26, a British high store in U.K. called House Of Frazier, they closing 50% of the stores to keep there business going.
Can we just take this whole internet concept back and start over.. Almost every retail store will be gone soon.. so sad

i went to this Toys R Us back in like 2016 or 2017 and i was looking around this place especially video game section and got DOOM Xbox one :)
Can't wait to get home this evening from work the kids will be excited to watch the new video.

Dang, I remember when they built this one in the early 90s.
Whatever they did not sell off, was probably shipped off to their Canadian operations, where they are still operating!
I used to go to this toys r us all the time now they turned it into spirt Halloween

Another one closing....so sad to see another Toys R Us close up...
so June 27th and June 30th are the last days of Toys R Us?
June 27th is supposedly the last day stores will be open, and June 30th the last day TRU employees will be working closing down what's left of the stores after they're no longer open to the public. And after when closing sales have ended on the 27th.
Shopped this very store every year for Christmas. So sad. Do you ever do any meet ups? I live in Cranberry.

Doomie Grunt Glad you documented yours. I wish more people would document their closing stores, be it TRU, Kmart, Sears, whatever. And whether it's in video or photos (photos being my medium of choice) it is a valuable service to retail history. I applaud guys like Wallie and yourself for doing what you do.

There are no stores worth going to and browsing anymore. I now understand why when old people are dying they don't seem so upset. The world they grew up in, and loving, is entirely gone.

I frequent the ToysRUs is Horseheads, NY. It's still open and still has quite a lot of stuff at the moment. I am so sad to see it go though. :(

Kmarts a mess. I cant feel sorry for them. They never renovated the stores in the mostly black areas. Just forced my ppl to keep shopping in dilapidated buildings because they felt "business wont/cant go anywhere else". So kmart gets what it deserves. WMT u wanna be next?
