Lovely video showing the shunting activity around this rather unremarkable station that was the destination for so many cross-country services in the 80/90s. The cab sequence showed clearly what was involved in the run round process on this quite busy mainline. I had one occasion to use this station myself - catching the short lived Poole - Edinburgh Sleeper in June 1989, on that occasion hauled by 47 483.
