Yep, people haven't known how to react. Because after reboot no one was expecting this and I've literary heard "Is this Nero?" conversation for first half of trailer(not to mention that in the beginning no one even understood what it was). People already believed series to be dead.
DMC has more of following on PlayStation, so not that many Xbox gamers will get excited for a new entry. That's why there wasn't as much noise for this game.

In all honesty....they were probably thinking they did what they did in DMC.... now most people didn't notice Nero got his arm removed, they should have shown it before they showed the robot arm then have something showing that the devil arm is useable later.. I have a feeling Vergil is going to make an appearance in this game, that's one of many reasons why I'm so fucking excited! (BTW I'm an Xbox player and if I was in that crowd, it would be much louder in there)

This was my GOTY this year, easily surpassed my expectations and is an absolute 10/10 and for me the best DMC ever.

Meanwhile PlayStation had a weaker E3 then Xbox for once shocker.. disappointed at Squire Enix tho that was the saddest E3 appearance. Hell they let EA out score them delivering very little games and obviously there only top game being Kingdom Hearts.. overall tho Bethesda or Xbox won it leaning a little more towards Bethesda due to dropping both of there platinum selling franchise games Elder scrolls 6 and Fallout

I'm watching this on my phone in a public toilet yet I was still louder than this crowd.
This crowd is dead, as an Xbox fan I was hyped watching it at home. I doubt they were dead because they're "xbox fans/crowd" but they might not know about DMC, there's a lot of people that haven't played DMC 1 2 or 3.
It's just like Metal Gear Solid, no one really played 1 to 3 or even 4 until 5 got all the hype. I doubt the crowd would've been screaming like crazy at Sonys either, it's mostly journalists and youtubers at these conferences.
Also keep in mind, that they might be "dead" because they want to watch the trailer and take everything in, not scream after every single trailer like a maniac.

yea that last sentence is pretty stupid. There's a thing called "hype" and sometimes it's impossible not to react. I can't even imagine a person not reacting to something that shows the return of something. I mean can you imagine if the crowd at Wrestlemania 33 remained silenced when Hardy Boys returned just because they "wanted to take everything in" ? Reacting is just a way of showing how much you "care" for the product and not reacting at all just shows that you're not interested.
