In most peoples defense Nero does resemble the Dante from the reboot game, but yeah the sword reving is a give away

i dont know how ppl are so slow to realize that he is nero after watching him revving up Red Queen xD
but i have to recognize 0:36 that the fastest "realize" of what was the game among all reaction videos xD
famaplay i realized it just by looking at the setting and demons.
As soon as i heard the the start-up rock, i could confirm it was DMC V.
Knowing it was capcom already and the visuals used by RE7 engine to spare some money. Same went for RE2 remake. They used a lot of money on RE7 engine and now they want to spare some by reusing it.
i didnt know nothing of that, i realized it was DMC5 when he moves his foot and u can see his face/hair, then obviously when he revved up Red Queen dat he's Nero, but even knowing that info dat reaction was fast.

Also have to remember, not everyone played DMC4SE, and its been 10 years since DMC4

Actually. When I first seen this trailer, I thought that's Nero's son. Because Nero's sword isn't "one of the kind" (You can see there are at least 2 swords like that in DMC 4. One in mission 1 and a better version in opening cutscene of mission 2) and before knowing this is Nero after he lost his arm, I thought this is Nero's son, and he want to have something like his father so he use mechanic arm.
DmC: Devil May Cry took a lot of braincells.

Mike, TheAnimated not that easy to recognize for those who might not have played the dmc games for years. I was quite puzzled at first, but definitely recognized the voice actor once I did realize it was actually Nero.

the revving of his sword when he twists the hilt(or handle area) even as soon as he did it in the van it was clearer even though the new haircut does give him a more mature younger look.

I mean if you go into photoshop and give nero the crewcut he looks the same. It's just his hair was an identifier, which annoyed me because it was basically the same as dante's hair, glad there's some distinction.

@@marshall8820 In hindsight it's obviously Nero but at the time, especially due to the DmC reinvention of Dante, it was hard to grasp in the moment what was happening. Not for everyone, got it, but for us it was.

Nah, they were clearly hype af. I absolutely love Dmc and play it frequently and my initial reaction was pretty negative. But after spending the entire day of the reveal just watching the trailer over and over again I started to like it. It’s quality for sure.
