@@iykeharrison9161 Because Havertz is going to play the Xhaka role, Maddison is terrible defensively, he doesn't track back at all. He'd of had to play in Odegaard's position if we signed him. We've already got Smith-Rowe and Vieira too.
I like Maddison but we didn't need him, think he's made a bad move going to Spurs though. Newcastle was a much better option + CL football there.

Pity Maddison levied such invective at Bale (and by extension Wales), and that by many accounts he treats women poorly. If it weren't for that, I'd probably like him as a player, he can really ball and as an adult he's a bit more personable and articulate than his teammates. As it is, he sounds quite bigoted and shallow. For that, I wouldn't want him at my club.
