The joke is, the 2 who usually play electric now do it acoustically and the one who usually plays acoustic now does it electronically.
And other songs in this set the two that usually are standing are sitting and the one that usually sits is standing. But on this song they all decided to stand up.
A Twitch streamer reacting to this very video was how I first discovered The Warning. I was immediately hooked by how they were singing will full energy which is kinda rare these days. So I looked them up and found the Lunario show and since then they're one of my all time favorite bands =)
There is a live audience acoustic performance they did in Canada. It features Pau on keyboard and Dany on acoustic guitar. Ale was ill so they improvised an acoustic performance with the two of them. It features several songs with Pau singing songs normally sung by Dany. It's a very informal setting with a very small audience.
Yes! The show was in Montreal. It was impromptu because Ale was very sick that day.
I can’t remember if it was the 2 shows directly after or before that show where Ale had to sit on a stool the majority of time so they didn’t have to cancel more shows. All 3 of them got sick around the same time.
The acoustic show was really cool because of what you mentioned and because they played a lot of older songs and it wasn’t perfect which made it so much more enjoyable and endearing.
I watch that show quite a bit and I always laugh when at various times both Dany and Pau have to use a cell phone from a crowd member to remember the lyrics.
They were so relaxed and funny onstage with their banter back and forth that it felt like a group of friends just gathering around and having a jam session.

Plush and Holy Wars opened for them in their last Error tour in USA where they were headliners. In a second leg through USA they only will open 2 concerts for Gun´n Roses and the other presentations will be headliners. In Europe this tour they opened for Musw and Royalblood adn give personal presentations in London (2), Berlin, Madrid and Barcelona.
The private show in London is already available in youtube with profesional quality for The Warning Army UK

This session is great. When a band goes acoustic ir really shows how talented they really are and the ladies don't disappoint. There are three other songs from this session. I say do the reactions to the others and take those and this one and add it to the playlist you have for the QOTMS reaction series. Also there is another great "Murder Scene" acoustic performance. Funny thing i find about these acoustic performances is Alé doing her best not to look at the camera. Back then she was okay being filmed as long as it wasn't right her. Thankfully she come out of her shell since then.

Hey Guys! Yes, do the series from this acoustic session. BTW, the high falsetto in the chorus is Ale! Yes, ovations are very cool. The projection they have is incredible. They sound fine up close, then go up to the back of the balcony and it projects clear as day. The shape of the back was designed for just that! Also, Dany has a beautiful Taylor acoustic that she got during Covid. She has played it in a few IG live chats that she sometimes does at Midnight Thursday (Friday morning) for Dany Day!

Thank you, Chris and Sam, for this reaction to The Warning. As you mentioned, the acoustic versions allow us to appreciate aspects of a song that are not so notable in the versions with full instrumentation, especially regarding the singing, and in this case we can appreciate the outstanding vocal qualities of the Villarreal sisters. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you make a complete series with the acoustic versions, which are not so many. I also suggest that you react to the version of Creep (Radiohead) sung by Pau alone on the piano.
I will watch every reaction to the warning, so don’t hesitate to do anything from them …

The falsetto is a backing track. It was Ale, sure, but if you watch closely, there are parts where you can hear the high part yet Ale clearly isn’t singing. Check around 11:00
Definitely not a backing track on this one. It's not necessary to open your mouth much for that part, and with the mike she is using you don't have to sing directly and close to it for it to pick it up. I know they use backing tracks to add stuff to their live shows because they simply can't play two things at the same time, but this wasn't one of those cases. She can and did, and did it beautifully.
@@LostHate Okay, now that I'm on my _good_ headset, it does sound like she's doing it live. Earlier my cheap earbuds were making it sound like her lows and highs were placed in different audio spaces, a technique I use to differentiate backing tracks from live vocals with Yui and Moa from Babymetal.
She is singing falseto no need to wide spread mouth when singing falseto. They use backing track but not with this song Ale is singing even in Live

Hunter is my favorite of their acoustic versions. 😍 You will love it. I go back and listen to that specific one pretty often. 💕
If I am forced to pick a favorite, with a gun to my head... this would be it. Not only is QOTMS my favorite album thus far, but of that album this is my - very closely run - favorite song from the album. Now, I'm expecting over the next few years we'll see even more epic stuff, but as far as what's out there as of this date, yeah. I just *love* the lyrical structure of it, and that's the main reason. For me; YMMV...
I am fully convinced QOTS is one of the best albums ever written. And the lyrics in Sinister Smiles (especially because all three sisters are singing together for so much of it) are absolutely a highlight of the album... not to mention that drum fill!

Dany's vocal at the end of the song always gives me goosebumps, such power and control it's incredible and it is so clean, the rest of the song is great but that ending is something else. and it is great to hear Ale's falsetto so clearly. Yes to the other acoustics, Hunter and The End and Red Hands Never Fade.
I always enjoy your reactions, and this one was great. These acoustic performances are an ideal way to see how incredibly talented these three young women are. "Hunter" would be an excellent next choice in a series. Dany also does "midnight shows" on her blog sometimes where it's just her and her guitar, they are something special she does for fans. We just saw them in Charlotte NC in May and they absolutely killed it. They are opening for G&R in Knoxville TN in September and I was fortunate enough to get tickets with backstage access for the show, thanks to a great friend. Oh, and the back of Ovation guitars is "Lyrachord" It's a special kind of fiberglass that Ovation keeps secret.

Nice Reaction! Put in my vote for doing acoustic Hunter from the same acoustic session. In the electric version Dany plays the opening riffs, but in the acoustic it's like Dany and Ale switched parts, at least at the opening. It's a very interesting acoustic version.
As far as up and coming bands opening for them, Plush opened for them this year
Ale is not singing harmony but in unison an octave higher.
Of course we want to see the full series from the same hotel, HUNTER, RED HANDS NEVER FADE and THE END.

Ale is playing a Martin BCPA4 Bass and also, if I a not mistaken, she is the one doing the high falsetto singing during the vocal harmonies.

She's trying to be nice, but the look she gives that camera says it all, it's so much fun watching her reaction when she see the camera focused on her.
You don’t get many rock songs with a bit of counterpoint in them (like at the end of Rivers Soul). Their willingness and ability to bring other types of music into their chosen/preferred style of music reminds me of nobody less than the Beatles. That’s why their songs are richer than most of their rivals. I want their next album now. Please.
