Let's just agree! Whatever Pam put on her Channel we are going to like all of them. We love you Pam❤
Absolutely correct! 😊
Agree❤️✋🏽
Facts. PERIOD
I know. Everything!
Me too
Perfect timing! I just bought a bag of potatoes yesterday. Thank you Pam for all that you do. We appreciate you!
Where's the sourcream chives and bacon bits
I poke holes in them then spray with avocado oil all over. I put sea salt, pepper, rosemary, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger powder, and anything else you would like on it. I put it in my air fryer for 45 minutes! I live in Florida so now it’s too hot to put the oven on. They come out amazing! Just as crispy as yours. We make a meal out of it! That skin is amazing! My husband went to a grocery store named Aldi and bought a giant bag of the potatoes 🥔! This store I’m sure is pretty much every where. They even are in England now! Their produce is amazing! 🩵🩵
Thanks for your comment. I was wondering if another type of oil would work. I made a rosemary sea salt that would be good. I can't remember the the channel, but used rosemary from my garden and added some ginger to it.
Aldi actually started in Germany. We have 2 Aldi, here; one in Martinsburg WV and one in Spring Mills, WV. We love them. 😀👍🤗
Yes, Aldi is a store from Germany. We are retired Air Force, Aldi Is big with Active Duty and Veteran Families because so many of us have done Tours over there. Even though the stores themselves are not very big, they pack a nice punch with the good quality of their Produce and Meats. I have also found that I like a lot if their store brand items as well. But let’s be honest . The CARTS. Who doesn’t love the little set up they have going on with the carts? The excitement of making sure you have a quarter before you leave the house, double checking to make sure it’s an actual quarter and not a Pizza Arcade game *Token*. The kids fussing with each other over who’s turn it is to get to put the quarter in the slot, that magically sets the cart free from cart jail, and who will put the cart back in to captivity, only to set the quarter free, free to live on until the next shopping day!!! It’s all about the ingenious CART OPERATION @ ALDI 🤩it’s truly mind blowing🤯okay I think I’m bored!!🤪🤪🤪 I really do like Aldi for their food, better prices and the Carts!! The parking lots look nice and my car is much safer👍
😂
Getting a head start in the microwave, that's pure genius!😊
My mom always made crispy skin potatoes by just poking and baking with no oil or fat. I have spent 40 years trying to duplicate it but failing. Now i know a way to do it. Thank you.
Do you think that melted butter would possibly get the same outcome?
My mother did the same thing. No fat whatsoever. No seasoning whatsoever. I do the same. High heat is the key. However putting the fat and seasoning on the outside sounds just too good. Will have to try. ❤
@@eandsm4620My dad always used butter on the baked potatoes and they were excellent. No duck fat or beef tallow in our house so butter was the next best thing!
"...and if you're not subscribed, you better subscribe"... Agreed! 💯👏🏼💖
Putting the potato in the microwave first is pure genius! TY for sharing!!
I love the skins on baked potatoes it's my favorite part😊
Pam ; what a bonus and nice surprise seeing your son unexpectedly. I do not like potatoes but what a great pleasure to watch you at this video.
Bacon fat is good also, it has a smoke point of 400 F . It absolutely looks delicious!
I made mine just like that with healthy olive oil and using a air fryer. Came out crispy like yours without heating up the kitchen.
What temperature and for how long?
@@MyTyme2Shyne-1Tyme I did them at 400 for around 45 min. You can test them they have to be 200 degrees. I do like her idea to microwave first then I would air fry to cut down on the time. Hope this helps.
I use the potato button my microwave. Then air fryer at 400 for about 10-15 minutes
Everything except using the microwave. I quit radiating food long ago. Oven really is the best. Thanks for the delicious recipe Ms. Pam. 🙏💖✨
I need to do the same..gonna be work getting everyone in my house on board🤔
@@jesusdied4u743 it's hard but so worth it!
I usually just poke wrap in foil after putting olive oil. Love this way. Thanks for sharing.
Exactly how I do it
Thanks Pam! 💐 I was already going to bake a couple large russet potatoes tonight, but since I don’t have duck fat, I’m going to experiment with melted lard & a good steak seasoning! 😉
I'm wondering if bacon drippings would work ... 🤔
yummm, i bet so Great idea to try!@@lauriivey7801
I would like to know if bacon drippings would work too
It will, you dl just want to bast it in an oil
Rubbing with butter works just fine, then roll in seasonings. I'm not even tempted to try duck fat.
Oh my, I’m in love 😍. Growing up we had baked potatoes weekly and my dad always “peeled” off the cooked skin then slathered the skin with butter and salt….. oooh yummy memories! Thank you for this great recipe beautiful lady 🌸🌺🩷
The skin is the best part with butter I love the skins too. 😂
All I did was think about a baked potato and this video pops up. As a new subscriber I am loving these recipes and tips❤
My father never used the microwave for baking potatoes but he did rub them with butter before seasoning. He just used salt and pepper. Pretty basic but they were good! He was from Maine and his family did a lot of very rough, no frills camping.
I remember when we went camping as kids that we would butter and season the potatoes and then wrap them in aluminum foil and put them on the coals of the fire. Good eating!
Love baked potatoes!!! Thanks Pam!
Thank You for showing me another way to do this, I eat Baked Potatoes all the time 😊
Oh my goodness, what an amazing way to make a baked potato! Ty Pam so much!!
It's not fair you are the only one that gets to enjoy the deliciousness that you create.OGM those potatoes 🥔 look delicious. I just wanted to reach through the screen and add some butter to the skin and pig out. Thank you for sharing 💜
Ikr? We should’ve able to taste them with her!! I would LOVE to be able to eat with her EVERY day and night!! Her son is a blessed man!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm craving a baked potato now❤❤❤
Me too!!
Thank you Pam, I always wondered how to get the skin crispy, now I know😊
We are vegetarian, so I used olive oil. We are also organic so I just used Himalayan salt and dried peoper blend. I love the crispy potatoe skin, thank you for saving me from another mushy potato 🥔❣️
Awesome!!!
Pam, I just got done eating, but you know what, I am hungry for a baked potato cooked just the way that you did! You know it’s right everything that you cook and show us how to do it. We are going to love and be hungry for it. How did you find out about the duck fat?
I just ate a baked sweet potato while watching Pam in the Kitchen. Thanks for the baking tip. Be Blessed and stay Blessed!
I’ll bet this would be yummy too!! I never thought about doing this with a sweet potato!! Please let me know how it comes out!!
@@TheHisrose4 I will do it when go shopping this weekend!
@@CleanteamofNYcool. Please let me know how it comes out and how you top it! I had one once at a steak place. It was delicious! But I don’t remember how they topped it. Thanks!
The inside of your oven is beautiful lol ❤
Sparkify that’s a new word! I love it!
Thanks Pam for this amazing potato have a 👍 great day and God Bless you and family
Yes, eat that skin! I bake mine up nice then add a little butter to the empty skin. Yum!
Oh my. Now I know what will be on the dinner table tomorrow. Thank you Pam.
I am a big fan of baked potatoes! I usually bake mine in the oven brushed with Avocado oil, but I have never used duck oil on them. Well, today I tried it and WOW! This is the new way I am making baked potatoes which is using duck oil! I really like the taste!! I also put mine in the microwave first,I have never done that before , but I think it is a great way to get them started! Thank you again, Pam!! ❤
I worked in a baked potato shop for many years as a teenager and this is exactly what we would do when we needed to cook some in a hurry, minus any fat. At home now I use the microwave & l sometimes rub a little olive oil and a little seasoning then in the Airfryer for a few mins. Both still turn out with a crispy skin.
Thank you Ms. Pam😊 You are a treasure ❤
I’m new to your channel , I’m amazed watching you I’ve learned soo much from you thank you so much for sharing your gift! 😊
Hello Mrs. Pam And Son . Thanks for sharing your baked potato recipe . Look so delicious . I have some of the season . Have to try it on baked potatoes . Have A Blessed Sunday . You And Son .😊
You are so lovely!! Thank you for the skin idea!! I’ve only used olive oil, but I’m going to try the duck fat!!
Those baked potatoes look amazing. thanks so much for the instructions 👏
I have goose fat...it's great on pan fried potatoes so I'm guessing it would be fine to replace the duck fat? I'm definitely going to try this recipe! 😊
I just love listening to you and also learning.
I love the skin on baked potatos.
Thx u kindly Pam for the kitchen talk
YUMMY!😋💖👍👏 Your son is very lucky to have such a good cook for a mother!
Several decades ago I first tried skin on potatoes at a local restaurant. They were good, and later reading informed me that a lot of the potato nutrients are in the skin. I eventually took to leaving the skins on when making potatoes at home. One should wash the dirt off first, and as you said, poke them before putting them in the microwave oven. It's definitely a much faster way to cook them. Instead of butter one can add cheese and bacon bits, or other chopped up meats. Or one can top them with veggies, with, or without cheese. Or one can add plain yogurt, either Greek or just regular plain.
Just tried Greek yogurt yesterday. It tastes almost the same as regular plain yogurt, but seems to be thicker.
Thanks for the yummy video post!😃🥔
You can make your own Greek yogurt by putting a coffee filter in a colander and drain the liquid our..
Yummy and a great idea to cook potatoes directly on the rack. Genius idea 💡 and so delicious. 😊
That does look so good Pam.
I founded Pam recently, I love her. Learned a lot😅
Wow never heard of animal fat on skin of baked potato but I'll try this recipe soon. Thank you & God Bless you & your family. ✝️🙏🏽🙏🏼🙏💖
YUM!! Thank you Ms. Pam! My mom used to do this with shortening
Hey and thanks, Pam. Yumm 😋 I just wanted to reach through and cut that potato up! I never can understand why some people do not eat the skin. They dont know what their missing out on! Another thing to do is use the Montreal Steak Seasoning on pork stakes. Sprinkle generously both sides. Thats it, nothing else. YUMM-O!
Pam that’s looks so delicious 😋 Thank you for sharing. Bless you😋😋 🙏🏼🤗🥰
I am a newbie here. I LOVE how you do accessible, down to earth things even I can do! Thank you.
Pam, you're such a foodie! 😊
Dear Pam, I don't use microwaves. I oil my potatoes, poke holes in them and then bake them in the oven. The skins on my potatoes are crispy. No, tricks just basic cooking.🤷🏿♀️
and we thank you Pam for all these wonderful ideas. My husband thanks you!!!
Thank you so much for this great recipe- I’m going to try it using bacon fat on my homegrown russet potatoes!👍❤️
I have never thought of seasoning the outside of the potato. Huh! I will have to try that!! Great Job Ms. Pam!
You must have read my mind yesterday. Cuz I was trying to figure out a way that I could make the skin of the baked potato crispy. And here you are
OMGoodness!!! I had no idea Trez was your son! I have watched both of you for a log time and never knew. He stepped in and I said wait a minute. I had to go look it up. No wonder he makes so many videos about people that put stuff in food at the reunions that they shouldn't, cause he knows good food! You guys are awesome!
OMG! Exactly what I needed! ❤
I just love how soft spoken your voice is!! Looks delicious ❤
Looks and sounds scrumptious!
When I fry bacon I save the renderings and when I bake potatoes or is that them in the microwave I prick them and I rub the bacon grease all over and it makes it just delicious
I LOVE that seasoning!!
I use Montreal Steak Spice on just about anything meat or vegetable!!
What a great idea! I’m going to bake my potatoes this way next time I bake them!❤
My mom would go back and forth between being vegetarian and not. So she rubbed the potatoes with Crisco shortening. My husband and I were just talking about foods that I can’t eat in their non-vegetarian version. They don’t taste right so I’m afraid to waste money on the duck fat or beef tallow, so I’ll stick to the shortening. However, the peel would be so much tastier with some seasoning so I’m looking forward to trying that. And the microwave and oven method. Thank you.
Perfect, I call you the responsible cook❣️
Love that!
And that really was a great commercial I love the presentation how there wasn’t a lot of talking we just got to see it great job thank you
I've been using this for so many years in different ways, including potatoes. Try on salmon too. Sweet potatoes with Kerrygold butter, beans, greens etc. I'm glad you like it as well
I'm not much of a cook but I love Pam's easy directions and really neat tips. I also love her friendly and joyful personality! Thank you Pam! I'm trying these potatoes tonight.
You are so welcome! And thank you so much for your amazing support! 🙏🏽❤️
I agree! I have always scrubbed my potatoes with a brush, oven baked and eaten the Vitamin Enriched Skin. 💜💜💜
Pan, you reveled the real secret of a delicious baked potato. One if the next days I will surprise my family and friends. Thank U.😊
Thank you Pam, we’re having baked potatoes and salad for supper. Your looked so good.❤️✝️
Looks delicious. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😊
My grandma always had crispy baked potatoes. I loved the skins. Anyone not eating theirs I ate. I always wondered how she got them so crisp. But she did not have a microwave back then.
I’ve always loved potato skins! That’s what my Mom had us eat. Thanks for this tip! ❤️
That was so cute! First son sighting for me. I loved that!
That’s what I been wondering how to do: get crispy skin. I always baked them in foil which I now know was steaming them. Thank you for this instruction
Yum yum yum!! I made this with the russet potatoes, duck fat, Canadian steak seasoning and sour cream and man oh man was this delicious! It was so filling that it was basically a meal. Thanks Pam!🤗
Oh I want one…right now🥰
Pam you are the bomb! I found your channel last night and I can’t stop watching your videos! 😁👍👏👏👏❤️
Pam, can you make them in an air fryer instead of a conventional oven?
That potato is a meal on it’s own. Looks delicious.
Hi Pam. I love your video and the information you shared. Even though a nutritionist recommended that a diabetic (I'm not one) never do potatoes in microwave, "we" still do. Still, I'm much more interested in your stove/range where you finished your potatoes. Please tell us if it is a "convection" oven and pass the model number and brand. I just watched you for the first time, and I can see you are already ahead of the game. Thanks for a great video.
I've been wanting to learn this for a while. Thank you!!🎉
You're welcome!!
Love this, almost exactly how I do baked potatoes except for the duck fat. I usually use avocado oil. Will definitely use duck fat next time, sooner rather than later 😂 Thank you for all of your hard work in educating us, it’s definitely appreciated ❤
I thought I was an amazing cook and I'm 82. But I am learning so much from you. I have guests every week. I'm so glad to use your ideas
Been doing it for many years Pam. After I put the butter in I like to put sour cream and chives on top of that it is very delicious.
Looks fantastic 🤤😋
It's so funny you said how delicious n nutritious the skin is. I was raised in the country..70 years ago..n whenever we visited our city cousins they were appalled that we ate the skin. We always thought it was the best part of the potato. Amazing how farmers n country people were the healthy ones, knowing what n how to eat food properly. Glad to see people are now getting back to basics n understanding how to really enjoy food. Thank-you for all you do.
I’ve had baked potatoe parties. I put out different toppings for folks to choose. I will try your recipe next Thanks.
Love the Montreal Seasoning! Thank you for sharing these tips with us!😊
Could I also use bacon fat instead of duck or beef fat? It could give the potato a bacon flavor!
I would like to know also Please! That sounds wonderful!! Love bacon flavored everything!!
I did that with my potatoes. Family lived it. I even used Kinder's The Blend.
Can butter be used instead of the other fats?
I’d like to know also
They look amazing. I love a good baked potato.
Yum looks so good, thank you 😊
Yum. Thanks.
The skin has the most fiber, but food scientists argue that that's not the same as nutrition. I say, "Who cares?" The skin is the yummiest part of the potato, hands down. Can't wait to get some of the seasoning you suggested!
The fiber is the necessary prebiotic for your probiotics to function best.
You are making me hungry in the first 42 seconds. You're the best.
Looks like the duck fat provides a lot more crunch than the olive oil that I normally use
I want one of those RIGHT NOW!!!
They look and sound fantastic!
Now, I have to find out where to buy duck fat...
🦆😁
And does anyone know the shelf life of duck fat and does it need to be refrigerated after opening?
