      A lot of singers voices age or get weaker because they refuse to practice after they've made it. They don't eat right on tour, they don't go get in shape & they smoke all their life. That's the most common reasons for vocal aging.

    I can barely describe my happiness when I watch Rob performing this song live (after more than 38 yrs). Imhao Saints in Hell is the best song (along with Beyond the Realms of Death) from Stained Class LP. Amazing vocal performance. 10 points from 10. Btw if you listen carefully to Ian Hills bass line, you immediately know, where Steve Harris got his inspiration for his Wrathchild part from.

      Funny to hear that since it's probably my least liked track in the album (maybe Invader). And they're still great songs, but the rest are even better in my opinion. The cover doesn't count tho!
      EDIT: Wait no, my least favourite is Savage (didn't even remember about it lol). Out of the 3 I mentioned, Saints In Hell is the best.

      Cordell Ivy How is it a computer filter? You can hear him strugling to hang on the higher notes and he even goes off key at times.
      They add reverb to his mic but that is standard procedure for most singers. Besides that, there is no auto tuning or tinkering with Halford's voice.

      @judascalrissian2252 Před 6 lety

      Dan Maler He allready smoked on the Resurrection-Tour. I've seen him smoking on a early bootleg from 2000. His voice began to degenerate in the nineties. On the Fight-Tours he had often big problems with the priest tunes and often failed badly on the higher parts. He couldn't pull his chest-voice that high anylonger and had to re-learn singing the high notes only with distorted head-voice. Thats why he sound so different since the reunion.

    Always have been a big fan of Rob Halford & the original Judas Priest since the 70's. Had a lot of hopes & wishes that the original members would Always be around like the Stones.

    Rob's voice sounds great - this is one song I had thought he couldn't manage now. I never thought I would hear this played live as I did know that they had never done it live before. He sounds fantastic on the new album as well, which I am beginning to think actually tops Redeemer of Souls - in itself a great album considering the triumphs of the past (which are very hard to live up to ) , how long they have been around, and the age of the band members.
    Really great to hear Saints in Hell revisited - from what I think is probably my favourite Priest studio album.

    Stained Class was HEAVY AF for the time ( 1978 ) and STILL IS as far as I'm concerned . Can't believe they never did a setlist of just that like the British Steele anniversary . Would've been EPIC . SC would be the PINNACLE of alot of metal bands .

    Rob's voice is still wicked. So sad not to see kenny and glenn tho... I love this stuff SO MUCH BETTER than the new stuff (anything past 1986)... Wish they could try to get back to this kind of stuff...
