I own a harrier and it is 1.5 yrs already. The view these two guys portrait is there own dislike. It doesn't mean all have these problems. I dis agree to their point like Infotainment goes off that might be problem with their car that doent mean realiblity issue on all cars. Till now I don't face any such issues that they claim. Yeah one thing is big elephant ears give hindrence but my driving position gives me better visibility. I always tell this Harrier is like Royal Enfield Bike where everyone cannot handle it but they love and buy it and be a cry baby.
i own Harrier 2020 since 3 month and in 3 month i have drive more than 8000Km i did not have any issues, Car power is awesome only one issues i found which is infotainment system is slow and hang many times after if we talk overall experience i love this car

4.can easily accommodate 5 people.
5. Range rover DNA plus good SUV feel.
6.different drive modes,ESP, terrain response system.

8. Tata's Solid build quality
Need improvement in following
1. No rear disc brakes
2. No paddle shifters
3. Heavy steering compared to compass.( Due to hydraulic steering)
4.touch screen issues, even in BS6 version touch response is poor. And poor quality reverse camera
5.No 360 degree camera (it will be very useful for such a big car.
6.powered tail gate.
7.lack of engine options like in MG hector.( Petrol automatic)
8. NCAP crash test is unknown ( hope it will get 5 star rating)
9.connected car features ( some customers demands this features too)
10. Range rover DNA but no 4x4 option Or AWD
11. Tata's pathetic service, always hit or miss.( I heard they improved drastically still improvement is required)
12. Ventilated seats
13. Tyre pressure monitoring system
Harrier top model is almost 3.5 lakhs more expensive than mg hector top model.
I wish tatamo must add some more feature in next facelift ( we know it's mostly gimmicks) but we don't want to see the same fate happened to most capable muv hexa.If tatamo add some more features they can attract seltos,mg hector and creta customers to this segment.
Hope tatamo is listening to us.
But,still my vote for tata harrier.
Bro do not misguide people. I own harrier for last 1 year and have driven 18 k km. No issues faced. Even a trip to leh done.

@@HarshPatel-bc3ib off course it's every thing.. Build quality is what keeps you safe on road.. It's proven in new gen Tata cars.. Nexon with 2 air bags has scored 5 star safety rating.. Even without side airbag it keeps passengers safe.. Just imagine how good they're building cars.. Off course it's painful to admit niggles for the premium price.. But safety is more important than features..
Edit : comparatively other brands have bad reputation in terms of build quality.. Especially in case of crash.. One may drive his car perfectly but not every truck and bus drivers drive safely..
@@raghunandan2429 If people considered safety most important then Maruti wouldn't even sell as high numbers. But when buying a car you must consider not only safety but features , engine , refinement , NVH levels , after sales service , etc.
@@HarshPatel-bc3ib Most of the people in India buy cars with VFM and Kitna deti hai mindset.. Thats where MS and Hyundai are ruling the market.. When buying anything(not just car) it's one's preference.. Someone buys iPhone but other guy may buy oneplus mobile because it competes tightly in terms of features for half of the price..
Safety is my priority, As I said if Infotainment won't work is fine with me but if car crashed like a tin can in crash.. Watch Nexon's side impact crash test once.. MS and Hyundai doesn't even dare to get their safety check done for Indian models.. Those which got tested scored poor..
Edit : Harrier's platform is derived from the proven land rover D8 platform.. Which obviously gives confidence over others..
Note that I am not a Harrier fan boy..

Individually you gave 5/5 but finally 3.5 which is unfair, especially when 2000cc car is capable of giving 25kmpl on highway (as per you)...you cannot compare with seltos since harrier is more powerful and more spacious, performance is comparable. I own XZ 2019 and I would give 4.5

Very super car. I like and I also have dark edition of Tata harrier. Galat reviews he kyu ki me harrier 1 year se chala raha hu koy problem nahi he car me bhai. Infotainment system ke liye software update ki jarurat he jo mene service center pe karva liya. harrier best car of this segment. I bought harrier top model 18.3 laks
The reason it's suspension is so good ...because it's developed and tweaked by LOTUS Cars. Yes you heard it right

It's a feedback which Tata owners have been providing to Tata for years which they need to consider and work on it which is not happening and that is the reason Tata owners are not willing to go for Tata cars again.

Yaha desh bhakt ki baat mat karna ....jisko knowledge ho dono cars ke bare me wahi reply karna....25L ki baat hai...and mujhe performance comfort and safety chahiye....looks meko octavia 2021 far better lagti hai harrier se....i know ye weird comparison hai but price dono ka same hai ....and harrier ki practicality mujhe pasand hai....50% city drive and 50% highway drive rahega mera
octavia 2021 is far better no competition imo.
I too own the XZ 2019 model for the last 16m already, truly a flagship TATA Car, no regrets thus far.

However, some of the newer features provided to 2020 models, like the re-sized side mirror (reducing blind spots) & auto dimming IRVM are basic features, that are truly design upgrades, which can be extended to the exisiting 2019 models as upgrades...to the owners.!!!!!

@@kartikbhaimishra This car has speed sensing door locks when you start driving the car it automatically locks and nowadays in driver side door handle when you lock the car you can unlock it without pulling the unlock switch just pull the handle and it will unlock this is only given in the driver side door handle for safety purpose

I own xz+ 1 year almost done. No such problems at all.. this car really impressed me. Aftersale service yahn bahut achhi hai isi chakkr me 2nd car Nexon le li 6 months pehle. Isse pehle swift own kiya hu.. inn dono suv k aane k baad swift bass start hoti hai 15 din me ek baar. Chalaaye hue 1 saal ho gya😄

Which suv car buy 2020 model in under 20 lakhs?
Tata must launch a car similar engine and dimensions like seltos and creta bc. Most of cars selling in that segment. Nexon is very close and better than creta in some points like stability, suspension set up etc but due to three cylinder engine it can't match with seltos or creta in refinement and some other points.
Nexon also has 4 cylinder engine

Being an Indian and u were to travel in a ambassador car or bus will u get charging socket?? 😎.. It's ok u need some effort to plug it. Mainly suv is very strong, safer, and easy to service.. Decent power and milage.. Good looks. Etc what more will get for that price.. And God bless Indian roads!!! Sudden pot holes and road humps,, Hope it's a reliable suv anyway...
Fuddu. Electronics and theme change kar do inka koi. Baaki best mileage, top of the line build quality, best in class suspension, ride quality ho, phir bhi 'reliability issues' tag daal dete ho. Aur 5 out of 5 most of the parameters me deke, verdict- 3.5. 😂😂

1. Proven safety of tata cars.. If Infotainment don't work for me still I am safe in case of crash.. Nexon with 2 airbags scored 5 star safety rating.. Just imagine how the body and chassis put together.. When I am on road I have peace of mind that I am safe..
2. It's massive road presence. It's an head turner.. No one will come and see whether your information works.. But when you drive a harrier everyone sees it as a premium car.. Off course it's interior also gives same feeling though there are some features missing..
Any day I choose harrier over others in this segment..

Why does nobody mention anything about the (1) stopping power of the brakes, stability under hard breaking. This is a powerful, speed capable car, so does that disc/drum set up work well? (2) the effectiveness of the headlights at night, the throw of the beam. Can one indulge in high speed driving at night with those headlights?

We had a Tata Harrier XZ in my family. Sold it within 7.5 months at 22000km. It gave us nightmares. Reminded us of Tata Safari. 10lakh ka nuksan hua hain ek tarah se.
Ek seedhi baat bolunga layman terms mein....agar salary waale bande ho, savings karke age 5-7 saal ke liye gaadi lena chahate ho to Harrier lene se pehle 4 baar socho bhai......

@Rishabh Raj Dubey Clutch problem, needed change at 23,1**km. Then the soft touch lesther's adhesive was not of great quality. It came off.
NVH & vibrations levels very high and multiple frequent electronic failures(no garranty that safety electronic based feature will work on time). Also this car demands service at 2250 then 5000 then 7500 & then at every 7500km. Other cars like Hector & Compass need at 15000km and if I remember correctly seltos& creta need this at 10k.
The car becomes old sooner. Not expected from 20lakh car. Either you give more features or more quality. This qualifies at none.

Bhai i own a TATA harrier BSIV, i felt an issue in steering cutting. Whenever i move steering at low speeds it makes whinning sounds. I contacted service center guys. Firstly,they said they will change pump but it is not available right now. but after sometime they said they have changed pump in another harrier which was having same issue. But change of pump made no difference to the sounds. And asked me to contact customer support of TATA,the customer support guy told me the whining sound is due to the fulid heating of hydraulic pump, and it's a product feature. I want to know is that correct? Did you notice the sounds in steering cutting of harrier.

Yes sir we faced the same problem but after replacing 2 parts in the steering machinery the problem is now resolved so I would suggest u to go for the pump and a motor replacement
