In my almost 52 years of living, I have been vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, regular diet, back to vegan, raw vegan, back to pescatarian…and the one thing that I know is that I am not defined by the labels that people place on what i eat. We are allowed to learn, grow and evolve. Who you are today is not who you were yesterday and not who you will be tomorrow.
Kudos to you for allowing transformation and sharing it with us

I was vegan for 7 years! Over the 7 years, I was diagnosed with lupus and endured terrible debilitating symptoms. I was mostly plant based, organic foods and even raw vegan for a year. I had a vegan pregnancy until my last trimester, I was hospitalized for kidney failure. It was the most traumatic experience of my life. I decided to slowly incorporate animal products again, even though I felt a lot of guilt due to the identity I developed from being vegan. Now, I’m healthier and stronger than I’ve ever been in my life. This was all possible with the help of Ayurveda, focusing on my gut health and foods that are beneficial for my blood type.

@@s7r49 hi, its also worth noting that nowhere in the definition of veganism does it say that you have to cut out processed junk food. My first vegan meal was Linda McCartney sausages and chips and a can of Pepsi followed by some accidentally vegan apple pies that my new vegan friends told me about. ! I also have crohns, have been vegan for animals for 17 years, eat a regular diet (not the raw/detox/fasting/cleanse experiments that often end in health problems) I've never had to up my food amount/portion sizes and I also eat processed junk. Eating a really large quantity of food I'd say relates only to those following a raw or fruit diet as I should imagine they are pretty low calorie and more challenging to get adequate nutrients. I also haven't had a flare up for 8 years but I've no idea if that is due to my diet as sometimes its the luck of the draw.

Wow I’m SO glad that I’m seeing this video because I was reading one of my favorite books (Atomic Habits by James Clear). These sentences are towards the end of the book:
“In the words of investor Paul Graham, ‘keep your identity small’. The more you let a single belief define you, the less capable you are of adapting when life changes you. If you tie everything up in being the point guard or the partner at the firm or whatever else, then the loss of that facet of your life will wreck you. If you’re vegan and then develop a health issue that forced you to change your diet, you’ll have an identity crisis on your hands. When you cling too tightly to one identity, you become brittle. Lose that one thing and you lose yourself.”
There’s plenty more gems in this book, but this particular page made me think of all of the people who may have felt controlled by their identity and the people who don’t welcome change. Some people aren’t ready to release the *idea* of you being a vegan from their own identity because *you* ARE their identity. When you change, they don’t know who they should become. It’s not just with veganism. I see this same concept when one friend decides to go in a fitness journey and the other friend doesn’t want them to change. I see it when someone is starting a business but the people they grew up don’t think that person is worthy of being a business owner because they were all supposed to keep/share the same identity. It’s crazy but that’s how we humans live through life. I hope this little passage helps.

It’s been telling me for awhile but I’ve ignored it because I have held onto veganism for so long and have felt like it’s the best way, the healthiest way for so long. It’s just made sense to me but now I have to face a different view of it and honestly, it’s uncomfortable. I am ok with admitting I’m wrong if I know I’m wrong. But these crazy diets that wrap people up in their minds has got to go. I just want to be healthy and balanced. 🙏🏻

This resonates with me so so much. I was vegan for 6-7 years and I started incorporating animals products a few months ago. I had minor health issues that were not going away and having gut issues as well. My health has improved. I still have a hard time with the ethics but I do not see how it is ethical to harm myself if I need animal foods. All my blood work was great and I was still having issues. There are studies on pubmed that explain how plant proteins are inferior and not digested and absorbed as well. It appears that some people digest plant proteins more easily than others. Both my knees were hurting and I was worried at the agee of 36 that I was not going to be able to hike on a regular basis. I ate enough calories, ate plant proteins with every meal and felt weaker every hike. Finally 2 years of struggling with this and after 2 weeks of fish etc I noticed a huge difference. My knees are about 98 percent now. I wonder if I had eaten animal products sooner if they would be 100 percent. I do feel bad I have to eat animals but now I am thinking that maybe they were made for us to thrive. I do not support factory farms etc. I also took mulivitamins and other supplements as a vegan. I eat mostly plant based. Also I had bad period pain which has improved as well. I also had sexual issues which have improved. Went to obgyns and they said nothing was wrong. I support you and your video has helped me.

This is something I've been advocating for some time now, in my own journey, after learning it for myself and recognizing the fact that I am a being who is evolving constantly and expanding. It took me some time to finally accept this for myself and with that, came the realization that most people can't grasp this for themselves. Just stumbled across your channel (though I don't believe in coincidences) and I just had to comment! The level of class you have developed transmits in your responses to those trying to infiltrate your peace with negativity. Kuddos.

I haven't gone back to eating meat but have started to incorporate eggs and cheese back into my diet and my body is on the road to healing itself. I'm going to comment about this video because I'm quite frankly disgusted with society. So I follow your journey for example, because of the "realness". I follow you because i see myself in you. I see the humanity, the mistakes, the vulnerability....People now a days are so programmed to fit inside of these boxes that are too tiny for them to fit in!!! What hurts the most is when someone from my generation aka the good ol' days in the nineties, becomes part of the judgement. Why do i say that? well because if you are from my generation you would understand how messed up this new era is. What ever happened to just being you? to making decisions for you and not for anybody else? Changing your mind is allowed you know. And sharing that on CZcams further proves that we as humans are allowed to change and are allowed to learn new things and that the very people (you) that we follow and look up are also normal human beings just like we are. Don't throw rocks when you live in a glass house is the saying. Don't be a hypocrite if you at any moment have changed your views on something that otherwise you wouldn't have agreed with before. The problem is that if your beliefs don't align with the matrix, you're not allowed to join society... We as humans are meant to change and evolve. Some are vulnerable enough to share their experiences while others do it in silence. Stay in your lane. The beauty of this life is that you too have choices. the choice to absorb this content or remove it from your feed. Make the choice or like I said, stay in your lane.

To the dearest Veladya, I have followed you since van life and have truly seen your cellf transformation through these last few videos. You have grown to become the highest evolutionary version of your cellf which happens for us all in each moment. As you respond to such individuals that are less accepting of who you are and what you choose to share in your vulnerability, I see SO much strength in you, I see empress power in communicating with kindness, honesty, and divine clarity, your beliefs through these years. I see the love that you have for yourself radiates to others even those that may be operating in lower frequency. We are fluid beings, ever changing and ever growing, modifying who we are and exist to be. The words you choose to use have really touched my soul and I see a beauty in you that is radiating more than I have ever seen. We age with wisdom and I see that your response is one of authencity to yourself and your experience in this physical realm. Everything you said makes 100% sense and others have a hard time dealing with change. I mean when I first heard you were changing your eating habits I was shocked because its normal when something happens we don't expect however acceptance of other peoples choices and truly listening to their perspective can clear a lot of that energy that can be a blockage if we resist. You are so real. You really do bless us with your life and I am so so grateful. I am sending you so much love and support. Life is a spectrum of a host of things. Polarity exist for a reason. To me, the way in which people are willing to pivot and “change their minds” when presented with counter evidence or overwhelming life experience says a lot more about their character than “sticking” to their same beliefs and behaviors. Authenticity and being able to critique your past self is such a rare thing to see online these days. Especially when it comes to such a personal thing like nutrition. You are a champion for WOC and I look up to you for remaining so open minded and dynamic throughout your health journey. Keep being yourself and know you have support even if you're getting flooded with negativity.

She has never steered me wrong
I started taking ritual prenatals after she recommended them.
I started using nuleaf cbd oil after she recommended it. ( I was already searching for a safe organic cbd to use but I could never find a good brand or feel comfortable in using them.)
I’ve used and loved her yoni steam herbs.
I thank you for your knowledge and the time it was presented to me. I wish I could go into depth of how much light she has shared with me personally.
And to be clear I also did my own personal research before I used any of the products mentioned above. You can’t fault someone’s recommendation. Do your research as well and see what works Best For You.

I have an issue with people that rely on others to slaughter the animals for them. If you want to eat meat, get your hunting licence and get your a$$ into the forest and get your meat the real way. Skin it, gut it, cut it, package it and cook it yourself.
Going to the grocery store to eat farmed animals that have lived 5-10% of their lives potential malnourished themselves, and pumped full of hormones, doesn't sound exactly healthy or supportive of hormonal health.

I'd do that, but I have a job and not the time for it. Besides of that a hunting licence, gun licence, equipment and the land are expensive where I live, you cannot just go outside and start shooting animals. But how about YOU starting to grow your own food, you don't need a licence for that, instead of paying others to do it and spray the pesticides and poisons to kill animals yourself.

Let me just say: You are so refreshing. I was looking for a good cleansing detox soup and came across your post from yesterday. I was a vegetarian for 8yrs. I could not give up seafood and cheese. I got married had kids and started eating meat again. Being a vegetarian did make me feel good and my mind clear. Now I am older and have been eating everything and feel like death warmed over. Today I am making the cleansing detox soup. I was so excited to find you on today. Yep, take the good leave the rest. Thanks for the gut test website. I really need to take advantage of it. You seem like a very wise gal and your beautiful family and your kitty just loved her. Those chickens look so healthy. Please keep the videos coming. Maybe share some of your recipes and food tips and maybe even light work outs. Once again, I am so happy to have found you. Thanks for the gut test site. Most of all thanks for being yourself and give the kitty a kiss for me. Thanks for keeping it real.....

It’s a shame we live in a world and society to where we feel we have to justify what we choose to do as individuals. Continue to do whatever is best and resonates with you. Every single person on this Earth is different from the next. No one is exactly the same. So I have no clue why people have a “one size fits all” mentality. 😒 Blessings to you and yours as always! 💛✨

We should be getting our information from science backed data. Studies that have been done with 100s and 100s of people. If you LOOK AND READ into the SCIENCE you will see that eating animals is harmful to your life and can give you diseases. That is why awareness about veganism is so prominent in society. I hate when people come into the comments just being so negative about another persons choice to eat what they want or live the way you want. Your lives literally have nothing to do with the other. This to me is a growth video. There is no right or wrong way to learn how your body works and what specifically works for you. People who are negative in comments. Reflect on yourselves before you go attacking somebody else for their choices. Not one person is perfect. It’s ridiculous to expect 100% of humans to agree with your opinions 100% of the time. Peace and love V. 🖤✌🏽so love watching you grow and live life the way that suites your energy. Xo

i think the most valuable thing that came from that video was the value you put into the nuances of the “situation”. so many people, especially on the internet, feel the need to condemn or chastise others over their choices without giving them understanding for the give and take of their own existence. truth is i’ve been vegetarian for six years and have no issue with it, you however did. truth is you’re owed understanding for your approach to kindness both to yourself and the earth. truth is compassion is never complete, but always possible.

Hi Earthmama, I'm watching this and I'm feeling a lot of defensiveness from you. Justifiably so, I think it's scary when people on the internet comes for you in this way. Especially when you're just trying to be open and transparent about this journey. But I do feel like you're not receiving these comments with a quality of openness I've come to know you to have. And that's okay but I just felt like sharing with you that you can receive everyone's feedback from a point of understanding and gratitude. Because what I see is how many people you've impacted and how many people appreciated your content to inspire their lives. Now for you to change your mind scares them because they aren't ready to change their mind. So they are feeling destabilized to have someone the admire make such a drastic change that they had not yet even considered. You might not have signed up for being this person for all these people but in a way, you did. By putting this content on CZcams, you've taken on the responsibility of how your content would impact other people. Ultimately, I appreciate that your being honest but I also have empathy for people who have felt destabilized. I get it. In response to you being on CZcams, it's still a big platform. In many ways, it's bigger than E. I don't ever watch E anymore but I spend so much time on CZcams. Anyway, be free to flow and be but also allow people to feel what comes up for them. You can still stand in your truth while holding space.
