Update: mimu bot is currently down so you won’t be able to do anything with the mimu bot at the moment 😭 I’m not sure when it’ll be fixed, but probably soon cause this has happened a few times already and they always get fixed fairly quickly.

Use Welcome to {server_name}! as the title. Especially and mainly the {server_name} part. That way you don’t have to go back and manually change the welcome message every time you change the name to your server

If you're having the same problem I ran into at 5:53, say /set greet message message:welcome, {user}! {embed:greet} instead and that should work :3

If anyone is having a problem where they test the greeting and it says ‘embed error’ js type the greeting command again except use {embed:welcome} instead of {embed:_welcome} ! It worked for me!

also in case anybody has the same issue i did and can’t read:
when it says {user} {embed:embed name}.. you don’t actually type “embed name”. you type the name of the welcome msg that you set earlier (in the poster’s case, it was ‘greet’ .. so. {embed:embed greet} )
idc if it was common sense i was losing my MIND over this part bc it kept saying my embed didn’t exist when i tested it

For those who are having the issue I had where it only sent my username for the greet message, for the command /set message greetmsg, use {embed:EMBED_NAME}, but replace "EMBED_NAME" with your greet message name! as in the name, what you named the message in the beginning of making the greet message. for the ex in the video their greet message name is greet! 2:08

to turn on developer mode click on the gear icon which is called user settings then scroll down on the dise bar & click on advanced turn developer mode on

I figured it out! What you need to do is when you start doing the “/set messages greetmsg” set the greet message to “{user} {embed: greet} (note that “greet” is whatever you named your embed at the start) I hope this helps! ^^

it didnt work.. all it sent was a pathetic greet tag and thats all… im unimpressed.

TIP :: on laptop , when getting images from pinterest , you can just copy the image link instead of sending it to the discord channel and coppying the image adress. imo it makes things take a bit less of time !!

when u first made ur embed and the last step in where u do {embed: the embed name} pls remeber ur name i do greet its easy to remember

Happened to me too but its quiet simple lmao, when you do the /set message at the end witht he {user} {embed:embed_name} your meant to put what you called it at the start of the video, for example, she called hers greet So her command will look like {user} {embed:greet} but if u named it something else and you copy her with that it wont work

I read your pinned comment, and I still think the bot is currently down. Before I made any changes to the greet message Mimu was sending the msgs properly whenever someone join but now once I’ve changed it only my username is showing up. :[
u can actually add mimu from a group that has mimu in it I actually added mimu from one of my friends server and I have mimu but the only thing that comes when a person joined it just says their user im pretty sure I did everything correct im pretty sad since I've made servers and I wanted to too upgrade my way of making servers

What should i do when mimu say “You already have an embed called that, you cannot have two embeds with the same name.”
Choose a different name instead of ‘greet’. Maybe do ‘welcome’ instead!
Or you can type "embed delete" then type "greet" and the embed will be deleted, after that, type "embed create" and then type "greet" then your ready to go!
You can name its as "hello" or "welcome" there's not just "greet"

After you're done with the embed use the command
/Add greet message
Then type {embed: (the name of your embed)}
For example of my embed is called Greet then I would do this
/Add greet message {embed:Greet}
