Speed all over the paddock now and a really good balance of youth and experience (and youth with experience). ATM everyone is healthy (not sure about Logarzo's fitness). Looking forward to how TG sets up against France. It's time to stop experimenting but he might be looking to answer some last questions.

Getting rid of Diacre brought in, or brought back together great talent. How they organize and play has not been shown. The same goes for Spain. Their boycott is crumbling and with their biggest stars coming back into the fold, they took haven't shown up as a group. However, the method Spain has developed in recent years is well incorporated and they'll find their method quickly. Both USA and England are plagued by injuries. USA hasn't had a strong core to develop whatsoever. England is a bit better off but lack the strong bench they had in the Euros. So, Australia might find success where they didn't expect it a year ago.

Le coach anglais veut que son équipe construise le jeu mais cela est beaucoup trop lent, l'équipe adverse a tout le temps de se remettre en place . Ce coach oublie la qualité que j'apprécie dans le jeu anglais qui consiste à jouer de façon offensive même jusqu'à la dernière minute. Quel dommage nest-il pas MMrs Charlton, Lindeker et les autres !
I love how they get back en masse on defence and are always ready to launch a counter with the speed of Vine, Raso, Foord and Kerr. They've really got a pretty complete team for the first time that I can remember. Always had the ability to score against anyone but I used to get so frustrated when teams would get behind them (particularly the US with it's run-and-gun style) and the Matildas would be chasing the attackers toward the goal... TG has been really canny in recent match-ups by providing a range of different styles of opposition for them to get skill in adapting to. His focus on game management is crucial in a tournament context. I hope that the Matildas can deal with the weight of expectation (possibly unrealistic) and hype that they'll be subjected to. They've shown that they can beat any team on a given day but in a tournament like the WWC the winner also needs a dollop of luck.
England has such a strong team, they should dominate womens football for a couple of years. Also, Hayley Raso is such a good player, great to see her playing in this game.

Hope Raso gets more minutes at Real Madrid. Hard to get into the starting lineup at City with the likes of Shaw and Kelly ahead of her. Foord (and the Matildas) benefitted from the injuries to Miedema and Mead.

Bad night for Williamson, Russo and Sarina, who didn't understand anything this time. There was also bad luck because after a few minutes England lost their best player to injury.
Lauren hemp is a great & top player at club & on the national team but hardly the best. I will say that the most often named best players are incorrect pathetic selfish players like mead stanway or walsh or not as good as Lauren but Russo's just as good especially when hemp is in the game & bronze even at her age & primary defense is still a top player. Which is why Bronze has won top player of the year awards for several years including last year where she won I believe it was the FIFA top international player award. Toone & Daly are good but no hemp or russo. Carter has potential to be great but needs more playing time with the primaries on the team to learn their flow. All the goals in this match literally were Williamson's fault which normally is a bright thing. Still Earps should have done better. There's to many players on the team who think they are the best & some how entitled to be on the team let alone start & play the whole match. Bright & Mead being two of the biggest jokes. Stanway & walsh close behind though as walshed up LOL.
