Depends how the NFC North plays out. If GB or Detroit take a step back instead of forward.
It's a strong division, but I don't think the North is sending 3 teams to the playoffs this year.

Telling you right now the Bears WR corps is going to *FEAST* and leave these secondaries starving 🥵

Matt Nagy and trubisky had nothing to do with them getting to the playoffs. Vic fangio and the defense carry that team.

Exactly. We had #1 defense and an offense that was middle rank. Trubisky only threw like 3200 yards in 14 games.

This comment neglects the fact that Mitch made the pro bowl and that Nagy took full advantage of unscouted concepts as a yr one play caller. WRs were literally schemed wide open much of that year

TJ is a very smart man. He sees this being sustainable for years. Ryan poles said many times that this is the type of team he wants to build. A team that is competitive every single year. For decades. TJ is one of the few that sees what is happening. Many wont get it until a few years from now.

Bears defense second half of last season 😳 was insane. If they play like that or better... bears gonna be fiiiire

Nobody brings what you do.. and what Shannon Sharp and Ocho bring.. because nobody else can possibly truly ‘know’ …. the things flyin between you and Jerry Rice were priceless to somebody like me who had Red Grange as a first time pro football announcer as a kid growing up. I’m so pleased you guys do these pods. Plus you stayed with Justin all the way.. Don’t leave off Justin.. he’s gonna re-emerge soon as he conquers his ptsd (Cleveland, Minn. defenses and terrible OC and infrastructure) and trusts himself again. Guys like you really really matter to this game… especially now. Thank you.

Cole Kmet is gonna be seeing linebackers in coverage and what about Swift out of the backfield😂

I’m with you all on that. Wild card. Caleb gonna make some mistakes and some great plays. As the season progresses will we see less mistakes? If we do then maybe win div outright but realistically just got a shot at wild card. Heck thought we should’ve had a wild card shot last season.

The worst team in the NFL every year is guilty of playing inconsistently. I'd make the argument that the first overall pick is going to the best team on which he's ever been. Every dude on the squad is a professional football player.

Who is a secondary gonna cover out of DJ Moore (1300 yds ls, Keenan Allen (1200+ yds last season), Cole Kmet ( 750 yds), Swift out of the back field (1000 Yds), and then Rome Odunze ? Caleb is your point guard. He gonna find somebody wide open. A Lot. Every secondary is gonna look like Swiss Cheese. Multiple tight ends will be blocking, but you don’t know when. Waldrons formations all look the same to the defenses initially. He’s got 4 basic ones, and derivatives off those. How far off the line of scrimmage will these backs have to play ? Keenan will be busy. DJ and Odunze will have a lot of tuddies. Imagine the red zone. Caleb is super fast in his release. Throws dimes. Bears D will have some tough practices and they have a tough secondary. Iron sharpens iron. Caleb was always tough to beat on third downs. He has a strong arm. The key will be the oline. But Waldron has good solutions and creativity for poor o lines. Wonder if bears games will be high scoring affairs ?

He’s not making some wild prediction. The Bears have literally made it as easy as they can for Caleb to win games. It would be shocking if they don’t make the playoffs. According to the internet Caleb is a Demi-god with no flaws so the Bears have no choice but to be in the playoffs this upcoming season with the moves they made this off season.
And I’m sure everybody and their momma is gonna make it seem like Caleb saved the Bears legacy if has a successful rookie season and compare him to Justin. And ignore the fact that the Bears built him a ready made team which will contribute to his success. This is NOT the same team Justin had so the expectations are high as far as I’m concerned. And that’s not based on what everyone is saying. It’s also based off the big game Caleb is spitting as well. He talking pretty words so let’s hope those words match his actions.
