    We'll never see another Jean Harlow, the original blonde bombshell, again. She had that unmistakable quality that ensures her star will shine forever.

      Absolutely true!! Don't you agree that a lot of the Gold from the Golden age of Hollywood looked a bit tarnished after she passed? A little bit of that magic was gone. 😢🥺

      @@TrinaP-un5xq Hollywood changes but it also remains the same. I think it's a generational pattern. My father thought Mae West was a beauty, another blonde bombshell. And so she was. Beautiful, talented and smart.
      I recently discovered a Joan Crawford/Fred McMurray film, 'Above Suspicion'. Crawford's
      performance was so natural it hardly looked as if she was acting.
      We'll never see stars like Harlow, West and Crawford again, in my opinion, but at least we have them on film.
      Cheers From Coastal South Carolina

    Thanks so much for posting these rarities. Even with no experience and not being photographed particularly well, Jean clearly had screen presence. So glad we have her on film to admire and enjoy now.

    I had to remind myself that seeing a woman’s legs above the knee in public wasn’t done. My modern mind didn’t react to seeing Jean in a short or no skirt.

    Harlow is so beautiful, I noticed how Kirsten Dunst looks so similar to her, many others have too. I've been hoping a new movie bio on Harlow will be made. I've collected lots of memorabilia on her, and have collected all her movies, photos, & the biographies about her. I started at age 12 after seeing Carroll Baker play in 1965 called "Harlow". The other bio movie "Harlow" with Carol Lynley was poorly filmed and I don't recommend it!

      @JeanHarlowArchive  Před měsícem +1

      Wow that’s so wonderful! Definitely Harlow deserves a better biopic telling her story based on David Stenn’s biography. For me Cara Delevingne would be the best choice since Kirsten Dunst is not in her 20s or 30s anymore unfortunately but she could play Jean’s mother in my eyes. I hope that happens soon in the near future!

      @@JeanHarlowArchive In my opinion I think Cara D. looks too edgy & hard. Jean was a warm, soft hearted girl, not hard or into dramatics. I think Kirsten now is nearing being too old to play Harlow, although she has maintained her youthful, innocent looks. I'm still looking.

      @@Garyt-ol7tt Cara on the other hand is a good actress and through training and makeup and Hollywood magic she can turn into Harlow as long as she looks a like her naturally.
