    It sounded great plugged in. I'm not crazy about the effects, but for a travel guitar, it seems like a great deal. The best guitar is the one you have with you, so if having this makes you play more, then it's awesome.

      Hey buddy! Cheers for the comment. Gotta say I totally agree with you. The sound plugged in is fantastic but I just don't think I would use the effects cause the quality is not the best. As you say tho it's one of those guitars that you can just pick up and play! If you get a chance try one cause they are good fun! Thanks again!

      @@SoulStringChannel Heeeey! Then as a recording thing it could be handy. Or even a travelling recording thing, to catch ideas when your'e out on the road/Premiere Inn/park bench! Yea, sure will. You're welcome :)

      @@SoulStringChannel What according to you is the best electro acoustic alternative to Nova SP1?

    I just ordered one, based on videos like this, because I want a guitar that I can take with me on road trips that I won't have to worry about getting ruined. I am going to compare it to a Big Baby Taylor (which is just too delicate to truly travel with). I don't expect this guitar to compete (sound-wise) in any way with the Big Baby Taylor, but I'm going to have a little fun customizing the effects using the Enya app, and playing it unplugged with said effects. Great video.

    Hey I usually play and record Percussive Fingerstyle on my wooden acoustic guitar. How does Percussive sound on this carbon body?

    I think it’s also handy in term of jamming and recording because when you sit in front of computer operating your DAW, there is usually not much space. With regular size guitar would have to lean back or even stand up to record a part
    What do you think?

      That's a really good point! You are totally right! I often have that problem too and gotta say the Enya does make it more comfortable! I would also add that it Records really well too. Just plug in and your 👍 thanks for the comment my friend!

    Thanks 👍 when plugged in was it to a amplifier behind you,or were you going through the computer.

      Hey buddy thanks for the comment! That's a really good question! I actually did both ways in the sound samples. I think overall it does help to have a amp/power section to push the sound a bit and funnily enough I've also tried it with a few plugins and it sounds great! Let me know if you need anything further! Cheers buddy

    You didn't really play it acoustically... With no line out....Is it that bad?

    • @SoulStringChannel
      @SoulStringChannel  Pƙed 2 měsĂci +3

      Hey buddy! That's a good point! Honestly it's not bad acoustically, I just wanted to concentrate on the electro Tones cause they really are the main selling point. To be fair the acoustic tones in the room are really not bad, obviously different from a "standard" acoustic, less bottom end and volume, but perfectly fine. It's just so convenient that I think it's a worthwhile compromise. If you want I can record a quick sound sample of it unplugged 👍

      @@SoulStringChannel it seems like someone could intentionally fashion something like it that could compensate somewhat for projection and frequency balance... Obviously it's not going to have the complex harmonics of the tone wood instrument... But someone could design something pretty impressive... It probably would have to cost more though.
