Amazing video ! I got over 10 David Austin roses and 4 of them climbing roses and all of them in pots ! My ground soil is extremely heavy clay and with very bad drainage so I had no choice but pots . Climbing roses are in 110L pots and a couple of them in 250L pots . My faves are Princess Anne ( amazing vibrant colour ) and Hyde hall ( it’s a machine of non stop blooms now on her second year ) climbing ones pilgrim blooms are very big and beautiful but Mary delany is likely my fave as very delicate colour amazing frangance and barely any thorns , very unique gray ish colour on the canes . Loved your video !

@@JonathanFerraro-l9b Isn’t it amazing that we can grow these beautiful roses in pots, I think David Austin Roses are hard to beat and always performs well at the Chelsea flower show.
Also it’s good to know that we can contact David Austin on the messenger app it might take 24 hours for them to reply but a great service they provide should we ever need it .
Thank you for telling us about your lovely collection.

Would love to see more on roses. I live in North India, gets very hot here. Will the DA roses bloom good here.?

@@vivekbind7292 Thank you for your question, I contacted David Austin Roses as it’s their roses and their reply was that they don’t survive to great in India’s climate and they don’t ship there due to this.
I know in the UK I have to make sure my Roses especially the ones in containers get loads of water during the summer as they would dry out really quickly.
Sorry for the late reply, hope it answers your question and I hope to show more of my roses in my videos.

@@gardenrewards6593 hey. First of all, thankyou for your efforts. And that was so sweet of you. 3 years back, I had teasing georgia. But due to some issues, I had to move out and the plant could not be taken care of. Now i want to add the DAs to the terrace. But the weather is a trouble.
      Anyways thanks a lot

Excellent choice and I think when the pro gardeners recommended something we should take note. I think when our garage and base is demolished and extend the lawn area I would love to have a climbing rose somewhere down the bottom end of the garden. Thank you for sharing your views on two beautiful roses 🌹🌹

Hi thank you for sharing this helpful video 🙂
Could you please tell me what sized pots you used for the roses and where I might find them

@@destinyno1 Really sorry for the late reply, we have been busy laying our patios and path.
The size of the pots are 16inch diameter by 15inch high, they are glazed terracotta with a raised emblem on the sides that reads- Heritage Garden Pottery. I bought them from Hilltop Garden Centre in the UK and they cost about £40 each. I’m not sure whether you can order them on line but I think I’ve seen them in other garden centres too.
Hope this helps and thank you for following my channel.

Your big rose in the pot needs to go into the garden far to big for a pot

@@annescott6137 Thank you for adding your comment to the video. Isn’t it lovely that we can enjoy roses in containers and as long as we change soil, water and fertilise regularly and we keep the pot of a good size, we can enjoy them for many years in containers. My garden is going through some changes at the moment and the video was made when we were discussing these changes, I am considering planting some of them in the new borders once everything is finished. Many thanks Wendy 🌸
