God, the gank into advert was perfect. Great content - played this a couple days before the C patch and it went super good. Lane dominating pos 1 in lane dominator pos 3 meta felt really right. I popped off when I saw the bat improve on him cause of things you've said years ago about bat. DotA 2 is better with you BSJ! Thanks for all you do.

DK has always been a "carry from the offlane" guy tbh
You couldn't boot him out of lane and that allowed him to farm to his heart's content
Lots of meta heroes like slark, mk, ursa has pushed dk away from the offlane

@@alpha42069 Yes. That is the title of the video. But a lot of his smurf videos turn out to be challenging games as his teammates are lower mmr compared to the other team.

I like the concept of Dk carry a lot. I have liked it since long time but I feel like it lacks damage as a carry. What do you think?
I dont think so, in the first couple of team fights it feels like you dont, but if you know how to build the correct items, there will be only a few matchups where you'll have no damage. Other than that, you should know when is your power spikes so you can extract the most of your hero, like BSJ said, it is a nice hero for you to learn the basics of a hard carry.
Around the late game he is very scary, as he is a melee hero and usually melee heroes have good stat gains, then his ult turns you into a ranged one with AoE and slow... Just proper damage items and he'll rip through groups. He may still fall a bit short in damage compared to other carries, but his survivability makes him last longer. Goes well with heroes that forces enemies to group up for the AoE attacks of his ult.
Love the way BSJ talk his thoughts.
Again, one of the best in this series was when his mmr was slightly taken into account.
Please give yourself a little more of a challenge. Make the mmr difference at least 1k or more.
Every time he does this series, the MMR is taken into account. He always gives himself a disadvantage. If you want more of a disadvantage, just say that but give credit where it's due, homie.

I think we viewers would benefit more if the game wasn't a stomp. We still benefit from this video as you can learn a lot from BSJ when he talks about why he does things and all the specifics. But a lot less, in my opinion, than if it was an even or losing. situation.
You are wrong about something though. His MMR is NOT taken into account. He is NOT at a disadvantage.
I misunderstood. I had no idea you wanted him to balance the game with his actual MMR. To me that seems to miss the point.
Doing a little math, assuming BSJ is 8.5K and he played with 4 x 2K rated players, he'd be playing against 5 x 3.3K rated players.
In my limited experience, when you jump that much in MMR of the individual player, there are fundamental knowledge shifts. If you want BSJ to play with a bunch of people that feed and he has to overcome the challenge, that would make for and interesting video, but that isn't the point of the series.
The point of the series is to show that if both teams are balanced and 1 player applies good mechanics, he or she can win the game from any role. Not saying your idea is bad, just saying it isn't the purpose of the demonstration.
Of course I'd want the game to be more compelling and most of the past ones have been. I just felt the criticism was a little harsh considering this is really one of the only smurf series videos I've seen where the victory was this assured.
@Miniac I understand your point of view. But disagree with a lot of what you said. Most of this series he wins pretty easily (I think there was one game he was behind and thru patience made a comeback).
The math on this particular game is 4735 plus his mmr (assumed 8.5k) equals 5488 average mmr which is 468 higher in mmr than the opponent's 5020.
I disagree that if you balance it more, that the game will be a bunch of feeders.
If he played against an average team of 5500 this would suffice. 5500 minus 4735 is only 765 mmr if your not including BSJ's mmr.
I suggested 1k because then he's at a disadvantage.
The point of the series is "educational smurf" so whether he's winning or losing with or without a disadvantage I think it would be both informative and educational if he played a game with the numbers I'm suggesting.
Don't think it's harsh to say "this is what I want and would like to see a more challenging game." And I said please.

Why is manta always core on DK? I have never understood why. Is it really just splash on the illus for slightly faster farming?
Lets them clear two waves instead of one because of the splash, plus they apply DK's normal DOT, meaning that they push towers much faster than another hero's equivalent illusions would.
If you watch the video, he literally explains why several times in different context (farming, pushing, initating on ck, teamfight)

I listed some points already and he barely explains why in any way that wouldnt apply to other heroes....eg manta for vision...all illus provide vision....if flying is the key, important factor why do we never see manta on core wyvern or nightstalker?
Is illu splash farm really that much faster than just getting travels or any other farm speed increasing items?

They get all his passives. So they are also very tanky
It has excellent synergy with his ult, scepter, octarine (bsj said it's optional but I think it's a must have), free dispel and it's super annoying to the enemies. I was like you until an opponent used against me and then I used it myself.
I never knew dk illusions inherit all his passives from his ult. I’m aware of abbadon’s illusions getting his curse passives as well but is there any other heroes that have their passives passed down to illusions? I do know bash never gets passed down while crits always do.
I know troll warlord and veno's passives work on illusions, plus medusa illusions get split shot & mana shield

@@TheChosenOne462 no troll illusions get fervor, more attack speed every attack. so if the troll illusions live long enough to get max fervor stacks and you have a daedalus or something they can deal ok damage.
the idea behind the DK manta is that even though the illusions' right-click is bad due to the damage illusion nerf, the Damage over Time effect is not reduced at all, it applies identical damage to as though main DK was hitting them. By this same logic, Venomancer with Manta isn't terrible because the illusions get 100% of Poison Sting's damage over time effect.
dk illusions should work the same way as tb illusions when it is far away from you and lose the transformation.
that 16min pulling small camp is intresting but since we been so much ahead and u were tanky as a DK,i think if u were to prusser top a bit more it whouldn allow them to def Bottom with that many heros and gave the team more space to do things on bottom side.and that was how i felt about my carry the whole game kind of
im not sure how powerful DK late game carry is but i dont see him as a 1vs5 late game carry material ( like TB )
i personally pefer my DK join fights a bit more often with his ulty and let a support do the map cleaning job instead time to time for overall max team performence but i guess its not reliable in pub as much.

That pull is something very common the higher mmr you go.Same goes for the offlane where people pull or stack pull it after they take the tower and push out the lane so the carry doesnt get all that free farm and you can farm the next creepwawes in a more comfortable position.He presured top with in reasonable boundaries.Keept the lane pushed, went a few times on magnus at the creepwawe too.Is he killing there anybody alone? Is hitting the tower there a play? So not much relevant presure could be done while not risking a feed and griefing his and yours game.Imagine you are radiant playing from behind and dire has 4 heroes bottom that you cant fight and you see a farmed DK top overpresuring.Not long till you see pings and heroes tping and killing him.Especialy if you are ahead you dont need to overcompensate with your plays.I see what you wanted to point out and its good to have that mindset of wanting to do more, but dont forget: to go beyond is the same as falling short.

Just Ban TB,Reflection hits hard to Abba, even if u are a Radiance Hero, being Silenced and with a Bonus ATSPD on ur attacking foes doesnt feel good.

When Lion dies early, and you say you could have dropped items for the support to pick up, what exactly do you mean and what is the benefit of doing so?
You can right click items in stash to have them be dropped in the fountain, or have your courier place them on the ground. The support can still pick up your items and teleport them to Lane faster than the courier can deliver.

With a 47% winrate in the Berlin major, this hero is respectable seeing as he's only just gotten buffed. Sure, I don't think he'll make for a carry, but I'm sure he's situationally very strong when placed in a team of full comms to make use of his blink dagger initiation.

If not countered u can kinda carry in low rank i tried it in crusader but got countered by ls and just lost. i buy midas and just keep farming and got plenty of kill by prssure tower but u know at this rank anything can be carry if u over farmed
Don't manfight or 1v1 LS - just use your dragon illusions and pressure lanes/towers. LS will have to respond to the pushes. TBH I don't like fighting LS with any heroes apart from like hard carries that have a bit of farm (eg. AM, Dusa, Spec). Basically, LS is a high damage high sustain single target hero, but can't push well or take towers so just destroy his base and avoid fighting him.

Man I wish they reworked him so he has abilities like in the show. His ult at lvl 1 could be the partial transformation from S1, lvl 2 would be kinda the same but he would gain flight and some bonuses and lvl 3 would be full slyrak transformation that could also apply fear in an AOE on cast. Also I wish the added the dragon knight that jumped around n shit, he was cool.
Don't understand why DK isn't a universal hero myself... Melee carry that spends 60% of his time ranged.

a lot of itemizations/combos are used to the full in AD,
pro tip: Illusions keep the dragon debuffs when the ult ends (slow/dot/aoe etc), always good to use manta just before your ult ends!.

Please, teach me how to support when my team is garbage: always engage in disvantagous fights, skip farm to die and basically dont use their ults at all when they can kill.
You cannot comunicate with them, as they dont listen.
You can only ping and send chatwheel msgs.
I make stacks, they never farm and we get pushed and the enemy farms it.
This seems to be a lot of my games on the lose streak.
Negative bias is one hell of an effect, mate. Don't think too much about it, bad games happen to everyone. Just play around those issues and don't expect too much if the team members already proved themselves non-communicable. It is what it is, get better and raise your rank.
Watch his support videos where he coaches 500 mmr players how to support during a game. They are extremely informative, the thing is dude you need to put more pressure on yourself and know the heroes to play in these situations like heroes that can transition into a semi carry role if needed and can push solo.
BSJ the biggest challenges sometimes are in the LOWER CONDUCT SCORES. Please smurf in a Legend/Ancient 1K conduct account. I would like to know if it’s actually possible to win in that conduct.
