Well Done Miss Maddy Nutt on winning UCI Gravel Race and first race and win on the amazing Miss Tabby Nutt inspirational drawings on frame and fork gravel bike. I wish they would incorporate a gravel race in future Olympic Games. That would so good for you to represent GB. Wow, that course with all that sand sections and amazing wildlife. You did so well to finish and to win with cramping in the legs, us mere mortals would not be able to dig deep and find determination to keep going. Chapeau Miss Maddy. You did it all... win, cramping, acrobatics on/off bike (that crash and dismount but back up so quickly), and making friends with the local cat Clive.

I freewheeled a lot of the way before that shot at the end! I’d spin my legs quickly then freewheel to try and stop the pain 🫣

Well done you absolute legend! The Kenyans are fantastic athletes so you were in good company. Great to see you developing as a racer, and seeing you get all the complexities and prep sorted to allow you to perform at your best. This result should help with your pre-race nerves and wobbly gut, because a lot of that seems to be confidence and psychologically linked in high intensity humans. Keep at it champ, you're doing well and you're getting better. Sorry about all the sand, hooray for animals of all kinds (including the pig thieves), and congrats to everyone else who finished the race too.

Honestly some of the riders were absolutely insane. There was one on a single speed old MTB who was near the front 🤯
