I love watching your reactions as your exhume your childhood creativity.

thought I'd say Hi - CZcams recommended your channel to me a few months ago, and having also been a child crafter of the 80's your videos bring back SO MANY memories! That vintage Singer though... thats a seriously cool find. Can't wait to see if you can restore it!

Yay! Hello! I'm so glad you're here! To be fair, my mom found the Singer but she hasn't been able to go up and down to her attic for a while, so once it got put in there, there wasn't much she could do. I really hope I can treat it right!

I kind of want you to do a series where you restore the doll house and fill it with mini versions of retro crafts

Oh my goodness, I don't know if I can work that tiny! There is someone I've seen in a facebook group who does dollhouse needlepoint patterns, though!

@@retrocraftdreams maybe not make the craft literally, but like make a homage to it after each project you complete. So you end up creating a mini gallery of crafts :)

Hello. I follow a channel called Vintage Sewing Machine Garage. Maybe you can get some tips from there to help you with your Singer restoration. I love watching your channel; you remind me of myself when I was younger. Some of the retro kits you do would have been what I did back in the 70's. You bring back a lot of good memories.

Yay, I love that! I'm so glad you're enjoying it! And thanks for the tip! I haven't come across that channel yet.

Just a little PSA, if you’re handling items where you know rodents have been, you should wear gloves and a mask. You can catch hantavirus from breathing in dust or getting it in any cuts on your hands. After so many years the risk is probably very low, and obviously you did not catch hantavirus this time, but it’s a very dangerous disease so always a good idea to protect yourself! There are other rodent-borne diseases too.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll bear that in mind next time I go attic spelunking. Fortunately this time, I didn't come across any droppings, only seed shells probably from a squirrel or chipmunk (my stepdad was keeping the seeds in the garage below at one point). I do at least always make sure not to touch my face and don't have cuts when touching attic things. Didn't know about dust, though.
