Centurion the Dancing Stallion: Interview with Actress Amber Midthunder and Director Dana Gonzales

About the Film:
Amber Midthunder (Prey, “Roswell, New Mexico”) and Billy Zane (Titanic) star in this tale of overcoming adversity and finding strength from unexpected places. The journey begins as Ellissia (Midthunder) adopts a white stallion to train in the art of Mexican horse dancing. As she starts teaching the handsome but previously abused Centurion, Ellissia falls critically ill, which keeps her from competing in a celebrated equestrian event. Under the watchful eyes of her father (Zane), new ranch hand Danny (Aramis Knight) steps in as trainer, hoping to win the competition - and, perhaps, Ellissia’s heart.
About the Actress:
Amber Midthunder is a Native New Mexican actress who uncovered a deep love of acting at a young age. Growing up with an actor father and casting director mother, she began her own on-screen career early in life. Her first speaking role was at the age of 9 opposite Oscar winner Alan Arkin in the indie hit Sunshine Cleaning.
Since that time she has continued her work as an actress with series regular roles on Marvel/FX's "Legion", and The CW's "Roswell, New Mexico"; as well as appearing in feature films such as "Hell Or High Water" (Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine) and "The Ice Road" (Liam Neeson, Laurence Fishburne).
Midthunder is of multiple mixed ethnicities including Native American, European, Spanish, and Asian.
Outside of acting she has a passion for animal rights and environmental activism.
About the Director:
Dana Gonzales is an acclaimed Emmy-winning Cinematographer who is now directing. A longtime collaborator of Noah Hawley, Dana directed four episodes of the latest installment of FX's "Fargo", including the season finale. Previously, Dana directed episodes of FX's "Legion's" second and third season. He also recently directed two episodes of the upcoming final season of Hulu's "The Handmades Tale", and will next be directing an episode of Apple TV+'s highly anticipated series "The Changeling". Dana is based in Los Angeles.
