I like that you could put Super Dave anywhere in the world and he'll make it sound like it's a new "area" in his personal compound.
Most of the episodes were shot north of Toronto
1. He talks nice and explains things.
2. He descibes his stunt.
3. He has a big accident.
4. He cusses his ASS off!

@@paul6925 I did too back in 80s he always swore from the start. Just they had it sensored with a beeb or other funny noise. Watch the bizzare show and you will see. That's is the show he was on

Surprised by how many props they have prepared for this sketch, those buildings, the oil recipients, the gas pumps, etc, lots of details to make it credible, even within the comedy, the magic of TV !!! 😊

I LIVED for Super Dave when I was a kid. I was like 6-8 but I always used to pretend to myself that it was real, or that everyone else who watched it thought it was real but I was smart enough to get the joke! I loved watching each new bit, crackling with the excitement of how it was all going to go wrong! Seeing these again brought me back to that, I had forgotten it.
This brings me back to an excellent time in my life and even my kids (20yrs) were laughing their butt's off
Even the Super Dave studio was taped here in Canada. Markham, Ontario to be exact.

@@rudolphguarnacci197 I don't know, I guess in this day and age, so many comedians are podcasters and youtubers, working with small budgets. I can't believe a studio would put this on air, pay to have them smash things/blow things up. I love it, but it just doesn't seem like it would have a big audience. It just feels niche to me in 2021. Different times.

Yes, even for back then, the production quality was low. I think that is what added to its appeal. Kind of a root-for-the-underdog, I think.
Its especially funny that the expensive computer blew up as well.

I think the garbage, propane, and methanol was not compatible in the mixture an it resulted in an explosion. I think Super Dave lost a lot of money in the Garbane project. lol.
