@dannypham7562 I like what you said but I didn't like the Celtics and really disliked the Lakers. But at the time it was so fun to watch it all go down. It was when you only got a few games on TV so most of these games were in the finals. We really got spoiled getting to watch what we got to see about these two great players and the teammates they had.

Best point guard and best small foward to play that I ever watched. Definitely the best two passers I ever saw.
Both enjoyed having fun, playing the sport at an Elite level, and experiencing every level of the sport so far, I would hope.

I'm British, my knowledge of Basketball is at best limited. But it is a testament thier greatness that I'm aware of them. Thier collective names have travelled the Atlantic ocean, I have heard of them & they have been awesome ambassadors of thier sport. I'm totally aware of how, under the spotlight of pressure, they both succeeded & brought fans into thier sport, because any sports fan, can recognise when people are playing at thier best & as spectators we all got to observe thier passion & as a spectacle it is rewarding to have watched, enjoyed & be entertained by two awesome sportsmen, who played thier sport in the spirit great sportsmen like these two, played in!!!

Larry Bird Is The Goat.. I saw him when he was playing for Indiana and he was playing in New Mexico and Mexico State University and right at the buzzer he he threw a three-point shot full court and went in the basket and they won the game by one point. He brought the place down

As a kid, I had a poster of each of them on my wall. In the posters Larry is shooting a free throw and Magic is throwing a no look pass.

Between the two ....eight championships in 9 years it was an unbelievable thing to watch I started watching in 83 that 84 series was still the absolute best NBA finals ever I was up till 1:00 in the morning trying to watch it on tape delay.

The NBA in the 1980s! Wish I was older so I couldve watched it all as it happened. However I watched the classic games saw both of them toward the end of their playing days and I was able to watch MJ and history be made. I miss the NBA being so strong it seems like it may be getting back to wide spread all stars and amazing competition.
