I just bought some obx long tube headers. Can't wait to get them put on next week ,then I will have completed my exhaust, and I'm gonna get a tune. Bk2. Great video
Great video. I have a 2013 3.8 Grand Touring I bought it new. After 11yrs, 62,000 miles, 3 states and two relationships it’s been the best car I have ever owned. It’s no longer my daily. I am just now doing some upgrades. Nothing too crazy. It’s still mostly stock. Headers and exhaust are coming soon though.
My NGM headers are supposed to be here on Monday. I've been waiting for them to come in. I have been trying to find a channel that went into detail on how to do it. But this was so freaking helpful! Thank you so much. I can not wait to. I also ordered O2 Adapters for the headers and the Downpipes. So hopefully it will help with the check engine light.

No clue. Send me a video on social media and I can further help you. Vibration can be because the bad frame welds we have or more of the time a exhaust shield vibrating against the chassis
It’s a customers car. I only recommend stock air box or cold air intake. Short ram intakes will actually make you lose power even with heat shielding. This customer had a cold air intake but went over a deep puddle and almost ruined his motor (hint the white smoke in the video)

@@UP-wn7pm what he said lol. The stock box is actually a cold air intake, super solid. Something you can do to it is heat wrap/tape it. Also wrap your intake manifold too. But for suspension I recommend Parts Shop Max (PBM / PSM, they changed names a while ago so you'll see them called either of these). You can't go wrong with them. I'm a firm believer in not trying to pay less for a crucial component of the car. I mean.. you only gotta buy it once right? lol
Keep your stock cats and a stock tune ecu and switch them when emissions comes around or have alphaspeed tune it for you to pass emissions with defoulers

Went on the forums and read that the only way to run headers on the bk2 3.8 is to keep your secondary cats and weld the 02 sensors behind the secondary cats to not get the CEL. Is this true? Wanted to know because alpha speed dosent turn off CEL anymore.
If that’s true that’s sad then because other tuners for this platform can turn off the CEL. Lol. And no, you can run headers with defoulers as well just they’re super tricky to adjust. Some alphaspeed dealers can turn off the secondary cat sensor and some can’t btw. It’s a software some dealers won’t invest into from what I was told. If SFR and BTR can do it, so can alphaspeed… especially if they used to before hand.
@@Meekmillan multiple. Some complain they don’t have the “equipment” and others just say they can’t do it at all. Then of course the better dealers can turn them off like Sam at BTR or the Florida dealers. You’ll have to get with your local dealer to discuss if it’s possible or not as again some of them won’t even attempt to do it

Yep. That’s what I tried to warn everyone about. As of right now all headers are discontinued. Maintec are made to orders DNA are available but they have circle ports which isn’t ideal.

Yeah the welds aren’t the best… but they hold up. I should’ve mentioned I also recommend wrapping them with DEI exhaust weap

Anytime you delete cats it does. You need defoulers or a tune to technically motion the sensor “not ready” and the check engine light will go away
