  • Today we install an Exceladyne differential bushing kit on Matchew's Genesis Coupe. This kit adds the 4th mount that the Hyundai Genesis Coupe should have always had and gets rid of all the sloppiness in the differential.

Why they haven't haven't brought that Model Coupe to the UK is beyond me. They are stunning.

Nice work. To fix the wheel hop, you can get solid sub frame "bushings" or you can get the sub frame bushing shims from 3point8 Performance.

“Imaging doing this on your back” as I’m laying on my back under the car trying to cut out the stupid bushing

As for the shifter feel, I totally feel you there! I’m pretty much doing the majority of things you mentioned in the video. Not sure if you’ve done it already, but the Megan Racing Transmission mount also makes a big difference with the shifting feel. And it’s a relatively inexpensive and simple modification too.

It wasn't NVH as the reason why Hyundai decided to go that route. It was that they noticed small stress cracks devoloping in the subframe using both mounts so they used only one. Better to just upgrade to the sedan subframe.

You should do a tutorial on how you do the sound deadening that looks really nicely done

You can also sway the subframe for a much thicker Genesis Sedan one too

So I’ve got a bk2 automatic just kinda curious if this would let me get a little more consistency breaking the tires loose. Also how loud would you compare the whining noise to?

Good job on install. I once had a 98 Camaro after long tube headers I couldnt stand the exhaust drone. Went with a branded tar mat stuff like what I see you did and it didn't do sh*t for me. Went back and hit transmission tunnel with some adhesive foam; world of difference. Since then I found out that it's pretty complicated getting the results you want sound deadening. Glad yours worked out.
