Nailed on Shohei ... he sees the ball well and he is aggressive. That is just how he plays the game and he is one of the best, if not the very BEST, hitter in MLB for the last three years! He hits many bombs and doubles when the ball is out of the zone. He does not care and he does not need to ... Just a week or so ago, he was 1/19 with RISP, now he is 6/34 ... I don't understand why people who just sitting in the couch and reading some stats have the audacity to question/criticize Shohei's approach. The guy is the best!
I doubted shohei for 2 seasons wondering if he could hit as an above average hitter and he proved he can do it not gonna doubt him anymore lol

Where all of the choices were great, Yoshinobu's amazing catch is less likely repeatable than the other choices and possible saved his life and at the least saved him from serious injury !!!
Pages better not get sent down & play OF as many games as possible. He is a natural hitter & don’t mess with his mental approach. I know we have Hernandez, in one spot, but if Outman is not hitting it’s a no brainer. I’d play him over Hayward, Kiké or Taylor anytime because they can’t hit!

I agree with you that Pages has earned to be one of regular outfielders. My choice for today with the thought of tomorrow is LF - Teocar ( Dodgers MUST sign him for multi-years after this year ), CF - Outman ( He is slumping so far this year. But his fielding is good and his batting should improve ), RF - PAGES ( he is a great hitter, but an average fielder. So, he should be either RF or LF, not CF ).

Dmac, swinging at balls out of hand isn't a virtue, although besides taking, it [ swinging at balls out of hand] might be one of the easier things to correct. It would make Ohtani even better, I'm sure he is always striving to get better. Harder to not swing at strikes out of the hand that end up out of the strike zone, [ the proverbial hard slider low and away. I just think not swinging at uncompetitive pitches is one of the easier fixes.
I totally agree with you. I’m not worried about Shohei. He’s usually slow starter and it’s his rehab year. What I’m afraid is that the team might not think that way. I heard Dave was thinking of giving Shohei an advice. When I heard it, I was like “Noooo! He knows what he’s doing! Let him be himself!! He’ll come around!! Please don’t try to fix them. That would do only bad”. Like you said, I want them to leave Shohei alone and let him be himself!!

For those that think Ohtani is not clutch go and watch “the yr of Ohtani” by foolish baseball. It has a detailed breakdown of Ohtani in the clutch. I wouldn’t worry about Ohtani with runners in scoring position. I will say tho Ohtani is swinging too hard at times and should look for more contact with runners in scoring position.All will be well tho in the long run.
He hasn’t been that clutch this early on and has me worried. I hope he picks it up.
