King's Cross and St. Pancras are unspeakably beautiful pieces of architecture, if only the old Euston was still here too

And to think they nearly demolished St Pancras station. Incredible really. We can thank Sir John Betjeman for saving the station, his statue stands proudly at the entrance to the station concourse.

I lived across the street from King's Cross station in the 90's. You almost showed a glimpse of my old apartment in the first few seconds! Thank you for bringing back so many memories.

Wow never imagined the street as a residential place. Thanks for watching and sharing your memory.! 🌷

Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful walk with us, and for using a stabilizer.
I love to watch the different scenes of life in this video, and I am in ore for the architecture. Incredible that someone wanted to tear down Saint Pancras in the sixties.

Watching these out of order, don't know if it's the height of the camera and sound. This video gives me the sense I'm really there, without spending for✈️💷🇬🇧👏.

Living in the north west, when travelling to London the station we get deposited at is Euston, which is a concrete monstrosity. Because of that, I've booked tickets today for a trip in April where I'll use a train from Leeds to Kings Cross. I'll only have an hour and a half in London before I have to catch the train back up north, but I plan to use my time wandering through both Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations, so your video has given me some ideas. Thank you very much.

@@WanderersArchive St Pancras was saved by a campaign led by Sir John Betjeman in the 1980s. The demolition of the station was approved and only halted at the moment. Today now acknowledged as the greatest train station in the world.

I'm afraid you've used a too wide angle lens for your walk. All verticals are curved and leaned back and horizontals distorted. Not at all like the eye sees it on a walk. You've used the 24x36mm equivalent of a semi fisheye15mm lens when natural wide angle perspective should be got from a 24-28mm lens.
