Best guitar duet ever….
1977 was the bomb! Eagles, Boston, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Styx, Jefferson Starship, Heart, Journey, Ten CC, Linda Ronstadt was at her peak. Music was fantastic then.
This is one of the greatest songs that has ever been written and with one of the greatest guitar solos ever also. They are THE AMERICAN rock band.
Along with The Beach Boys and Creedence Clearwater Revival Love em all!!
In my opinion, it is the greatest song of all time.
@@michaelbeckwith6177 I saw Creedence Clearwater Revival at The World famous: Royal Albert Hall in London and as they were solld out, they allowed us to go up to "The Gods" in the top rier for 34...................CENTS in 1973..lol
Grand Funk Rail Road is very good and Ameican aswel ,
This is the music I grew up on. The Eagles were a great 70's band with so many hit songs. They were known for their great harmonies. "Take It Easy", "Lyin' Eyes", "Witchy Woman", "Desperado", "Already Gone", "Best of My Love", "One Of These Nights", "Take It To The Limit", "New Kid In Town" etc. Before they went solo they were the back up band for Linda Ronstadt.
Yep, like he said. Wherever I am and hear the Eagles, I can close my eyes and be instantly transported to summers in SoCal.
Yes, any of the songs dagmar mentioned would be excellent choices. Each member of the band was like a facet on a musical diamond. ♥
I concur, I'd say Desperado would be a great one to listen to next, really showcases the emotional range of Henley's voice
Grew up in SoCal 😊 Glendora, Ca ..
The steely knives were a reference to Steely Dan. On the Dan's song FM, The Eagles did the back up vocals.
I honestly feel that Hotel California is America's Stairway to Heaven.
Or Hell. I've lived in California.
@@glassontherocks so it is Heaven and Hell.............mmmmmmmmmmmmm.........Black Sabbath?
The combination of Don Felder and Joe Walsh on guitar was outstanding. Fortunately both are still around and doing well.
The back and forth on guitar at the end of this song between Joe Walsh and Don Felder is arguably the greatest instrumental conversation in music history. Perhaps only rivaled or surpassed by Dueling Banjos.
I love the guitar duet, it's so perfect.
Three people on that stage had VERY successful solo careers. Don Henley (singing here), Glen Fry (acoustic guitar) and Joe Walsh (wearing bandana) sold millions on their own. In addition the bass player, Randy Meisner, had a beautiful high tenor voice which was featured on Take It to the Limit.
Actually, Glenn's last name was spelled "Frey", but it is pronounced as "Fry"
The 2 greatest groups when it comes to 5 part harmonies, The EAGLES and The Doobie Brothers!!!
I love watching young people reacting to music that I geew up on.
Anything by the Eagles is going to be great. Check out Desperado. It's a beautiful ballad. ❤
You need to listen to Eagles - Take It To The Limit (Live 1977) (Official Video) [4K]. This dude has a voice!
Used to R.I.P Randy
i concur
Yes! I believe I can count six different members of the Eagles who sing lead vocals on at least one song I’m impressed by all of them…but especially this suggestion.
Saw them a week after this video was taken on tour. Still have the ticket stub ! Paid $8.50 general admission ! Greatest band ever!
I remember going to a Monsters of Rock concert in Germany in the 80s. $25 for an all day concert. The prices today for a concert are criminal.
The Eagles have had a lot of hits over the years.
You have stumbled upon maybe the greatest rock band of all time. They are in my book anyway.
That entire 1977 concert is amazing!
To me it is their best concert ever!! I watched it a few times.
thanks
These guys have some of the most beautiful harmonies in rock history. Please check out more.
A Masterpiece !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the Legendary solos of all time...
Well, Solo indicates ONE. Duet indicates Two.
I love how he hits the Toms while singing “just…can’t…kill the beast.”
You will love their harmonies on a tune called "Seven Bridges Road." All five of those guys sing lead vocals on their tracks. These dudes are top-flite.
Agreed!
Billy Joel, "Piano Man" You won't regret it...
Don Henley is one of the two greatest drummer/lead singer's EVER!!!!
I assume the other is Phil Collins’s? If so I agree 😊
Just as you said,,, that was perfect! My favorite guitar solo ever! I love the Eagles!
Some of thr greatest songwriting ever!
They were a super group. This may be their apex piece.
When musician smile while doing their performance , you feel it is real well crafted music
I saw the Eagles Hotel California tour at Cleveland colosseum sounded just like this, perfect playing and harmonies. Great!!!
Very cool!
Great concert seen them at Madison Square Garden on that tour. Amazing concert! They played for close to 3 hours!!
Play the drums and sing at the same time is really difficult!!!
Best song ever!!! Best guitars solo ever!!!!
imo greatest group ever
“Wasted Time” is a beautiful melodic heartbreak song set against the backdrop of an amazing orchestra. Very different song for this band.
One of my favorites, too.
That line up, those five men, is one of the greatest of all time.
Joe Walsh used to own a farm near me in northern Illinois. We would see him every now and then driving around in a red corvette with plates that said WALSH1 and we would always wave to him. Those Shoes is my fav from them.
A Fantastic Band loved their music growing up.
ONE OF THESE NIGHTS
Music was written by Don Felder (guy playing the double neck guitar), lyrics by Glen Fry (guitarist to Felders right) and Don Henley (drummer). Henley said in a interview that is available on youtube that he and Glen wanted to give the song a "mystical" feeling drawing from an old 60s' TV show called "The Twilight Zone". The ambiguity of the lyric allows, INVITES the listener to apply the song to whatever he/she feels. I think they nailed it!
The guitar arpeggio duet is a blast
Saw this live when it was new
Still goose bumps listening today
For the most part, in this band, if you wrote the song, you sang it. All were good singers, songwriters, musicians. A couple were great songwriters. All in one band, like an all-star band
You like their harmonies? Listen to them doing 7 Bridges Road…..
This video was done the year my mother was born. And I never EVER get tired of hearing it😩
Nice reaction, Their greatest hits album is the number 1 selling album of all time, Please do more.
in The USA
My favourite Eagles song 🎵 has to be Take it to the Limit . Its a lovely slow number .
I also grew up in this same musical era. Back when music was music!!! ❤
They were mostly all incredible singers. Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Randy Meisner and later on Timothy B Smith all had incredible voices. And they harmonies so good! If you wanna hear them harmonies at their best, listen to Seven Bridges Road. Saw them live about 12 years ago, it was amazing!
Pretty maids in a row..or Those Shoes by the Eagles...
✌️❤️🤘...
Watching before it gets taken down.
Unfortunately, Eagles and Don Henley songs get taken down.
@@RobertoSantana61 I’m surprised this reaction is still up.
Listen to them all sing "Seven Bridge Road" they are the best
Thank you Emma for analyzing such a song that is an icon for my generation....congrats from Spain.....
The guitar duo at the end is always my favorite.
Yes ,take Is to the limit
I saw the Eagles at the Activity Center at Arizona State University in 1977 during the "Hotel California" Tour. I was the promotions officer for the Associated Students so I helped book Frank Zappa, Bob Dylan, the Doobie Brothers, the Eagles, the Grateful Dead, and other bands that year. I got to get stage passes. It was a pretty cool job.
One of the best song of all time
A timeless song that you can interprete and understand with nowadays' world still, besides enjoying it for the great piece of music it is. Glad you discovered it and liked it!
About heroin addiction. An old term addicted to heroin means checked into being feeling golden.
Eagles....Emma, you would like Seven Bridges Road
I've listened to it thousands of times.I get younger everytime I listen to this song.
1977 i was 10 years old , that is normal Music for me as a 56 years old Metalhead , my start was 1980 with 13 years
"Seven Bridges Road" if you want to hear some beautiful harmonies.
Beautiful song. You have the rock and roll head bob going. 😂❤❤❤❤
My favorite hits of this rock-band: "Hotel California" (1977 Top Hit No.1), "New Kid in Town" (1977 Top Hit No.1), "Take It Easy", "Witchy Woman"...
That Guitar Solo is out of this world one of my uncles favorite bands of all time rest in peace to him great song and reaction Emma i enjoyed it 😊
Take it to the Limit One More Time... Is phenomenally played and sung.
One of the greatest songs in history
Some dance to remember, Some dance to forget....excellent!
Hotel California is just one of the most famous songs ever
Each member could sing and three of them had successful solo careers as well. If you're impressed by their harmonies, I suggest listening to a quick rehearsal video of them rehearsing Seven Bridges Road. It's in acapella.
Emma, the whole concert is available on prime video. It is more than worth watching! 😂😂😁
My favorite 70's bands is definitely Pink Floyd, Nazareth, Boston and Led Zeppelin, I highly recommend Pink Floyd, Echoes part-1 live from Pompeii.
❤❤❤
Their song Desperado is my favorite 😊
I grew up with the Eagles playing on the radio, and they are one of my favorite bands of all time. I was sixteen years old when this song came out and I was working in an arcade at the beach. I got to listen to it on the jukebox all day long :)
Did you NEVER hear this before?? Really?
I love the way you analyze these classic songs.
Keep up the awesome vids!
⭐️⭐️🌟🌟✨⚡️⚡️🌟⭐️
The Eagles are legends and deserve all the praise they receive. Currently they are on tour, but I feel I have to say there is compelling evidence to suggest that they may currently be playing to a master tape. Please don't take this as shade, just one live music consumer to an ocean of live music lovers.
Favorite band(s) of this era, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Jimmy Buffett.
Beautiful live version. I recommend you also listen to the 1994 acoustic version. I'll send you the link. You are more and more beautiful, Emma 🌹. Buona serata
Yes, please, more Eagles.... My favorite Eagles songs are "Take It To The Limit" and "Already Gone".
Peaceful, easy feeling is a great song to react to
They have an amazing acoustic version as part of their "Hell Freezes Over" concert / album.
Hi Emma. You really have to listen to 'Take it to the Limit ' by the Eagles well the singer is Randy Meisner he's the bass player
My favorite version of my favorite song.
Wait until you hear the rest of them sing. There isnt just 1 lead singer. They all took turns and most had amazing solo careers as well.
Emma, these guys are legends. They all have solo careers as well... ✌️
Their song "Seven bridges road" is a harmonic masterpiece.
Great reaction. When you love guitar solos check: Dire Straits SULTAN OF SWING ( Alchemy live ). This is gorgeous ❤
Beautifull reaction.
Thank you! 😊
Welcome to The Eagles….
i think youre going to enjoy ''one of these nights''
Just continue down the eagle rabbit hole
You should react to their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction performance of "Hotel California", in the 90s, it'll show they're still great. And their "Farewell One" 2005 Live Dvd is Awesome 😎
AS GOOD AS IT GETS! live version, Capital Center 1977
If you love these harmonies, you really need to hear some Crosby Stills and Nash (CSN). "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" is a great place to start.
I'm addicted to their music. It's like a sonic drug 😍 I now need to see you react on Nick Thurl's new song end up dead 😍
The drummer and singer Don Henley has also a good solo career. In the 90's his "The boys of summer" was a big hit all around the world. Try to listen it's stunning!
❤❤ Eagles ❤❤
You really need to listen to their song "DESPERADO" as well as most of their other songs. They are truly an amazing band. Everyone has had an amazing solo career too.. Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Len Fry. Look them up!!!!
The Eagles are the American “Beatles” Don Henley has an immaculate voice. Every member is an established solo artist in their own right as well.
Saw them in 75 as a warm up act to the Stones
Yep, some drummers sing 😉 check out Peter Criss "Hard Luck Woman" and "Black Diamond" 👍
Karen Carpenter. Levin Helm from the Band
He had a great solo career too.
I saw that show in Atlanta in 77. I was 17...
WOW!!!!!! It's cool!!!
You have to check out "Seven Bridges Road" an a cappella from their Eagles Live album.
