Yeah i had to fucking do that in the very end of the first game constantly lmao, like micro managing your antirad and healing consumption while fighting enemies that take a crapton of hits to kill.

I’m so glad that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is finally getting the attention it deserves. There truly isn’t anything quite like it and it’s something you can only get from STALKER. The closest example I can even think of is Metro and that’s largely due to the fact that 4A Games is comprised of former STALKER devs
Agreed, adding one more to the list but Stalker GAMMA captures the DayZ experience perfectly in a SP game, which is ideal for me having a baby daughter now, and DayZ is my most played game including the mod since 2012 by far.
I played the OG games a long time ago, but GAMMA for me is a 10/10 experience. I’m hopelessly addicted since I started playing a couple weeks ago.

Everyone always skips Clear Sky. It's such a fun little experience but it gets a bad reputation even by fans.
I started with that when I got into the franchise, really trains you well for the other two games because it's probably the most bullshit on master difficulty out of the 3. LoL

Stalker series, Metro series and The Forest series does make me feel terrified sometimes.
For some reason, I didn’t feel fear in the Metro, and Stalker really scared me.
@@youngstowny it's probably because of the more linear and arcade-style gameplay in metro. Stalker feels more random than metro, mainly because metro is a story-first game; spawns in metro are usually fixed and events are set to happen. In stalker, the spawns are randomized, and due to that it changes how you play the game

Stalker is a one of a kind FPS. They just nailed the atmosphere so well. And I love the fact that the more you play it, the better you get at it, literally going from a rookie who gets scared of everything to a veteran who knows the factions, the mutants and how to deal with each situation.

Just so you know as long as you dont shoot Noah back, he will just stand there with his weapon aimed at you and you can talk to him. He always misses the first shot too, and then he shows you some cool stuff.
As an former STALKER modder, i can give you some hint: damage model in STALKER includes EACH bone of model with own damage, armor and wound parameters. While in vanilla config this is not actively used (not wide range of numbers) still shoot at limbs and fingers is not best idea. Not only headshots count. Armors also give different protections for bodyparts.
For every rookie Stalker out there: If you place the Gas on the valve and step right behind it afterwards, the bloodsuckers can't reach you in the cage.
I love watching new player fighting mutants in Stalker, the sheer anxiety when a bloodsucker/Chimera going after you is heart racing, too bad when you got used to the game you will just whip out a knife and kill the bastard.

Honestly it's annoying cause they'll be complaining about it so much GSC might change the game and take away from what makes S.T.A.L.K.E.R. unique and where the main focus lies. The franchise has never been about weapon management and assembling gear from all kinds of parts. The focal point of the games has always been the lore, meaning: the zone, the anomalies, the factions and so on. However, so long as they acknowledge the vanilla installments then it's all good
and that is a problem? the game is so old, even people who play Stalker GAMMA first when they try to see where this game come from, find Stalker SOC and is like playing Counter Strike 1.6 XD, i'm not saying they are bad game but is feel so easy to beat it, grabing a gun and you just need to press a botton to kill stuff and keep moving on.
but in GAMMA thanks for the community, for that beautifull modders, its not look like you'r playing a 2000 game, its feel you'r playing a game from today (2023), the guns feel realistic, the recoil, the armor system, when you are hit, ITS FEEL REAL, you limbs get hurt, the character feel that pain, can you understand that?
in resume: they are gonna enjoy it in the same way you enjoy the original game and its better for all, more people meet stalker, play it, love it and wait for STALKER 2, its a win win
@@leonecartelreborn9628 the new weapon and armor management from the mods make the game feel more challenging, how fun its complete the game with a pistol who can kill every one? otherwise in stalker GAMMA you can't kill a veteran/master/legendary enemy with a 9mm pistol (well, you CAN kill hem but is a waste of time and ammo), you need better guns, better ammo to deal with that threat, that just transform a game from 2000 to the present
IMO Call of Pripyat is the best in technical and content:stability, performance, relative absence of bugs, great new quest designs anomaly rework etc. But SoC will always be the best in terms of sheer atmosphere and immersion.
Here a tip. In the other 2 stalker game previously you can sell weapons at any conditions (the weapons more damaged will not give much money obviously) but in this stalker game, weapons can only be sell to traders if the durability is above 70 . So you have to repair to sell. Or just drop it. But theres is a mod to let you trade it just like the other 2 games. Just search for "traders buy everything" or something like that.
Go and see Noah, he shoots because he think you are mutant, he is mad, but he is not your enemy.

in stalker when you mouse over 5.56 ammo lets say it will light up everything that ammo will interact with. that tip helped me alot when i first started so i didnt have to read into tool tips so deeply.

Compared with the 2 previous games, CoP is quite easy even in master difficulty. Except if you want to save all the boyband members in Pripyat underground without too much struggle with tactical quicksaves.
Every anomaly there concentrated in each locations (the places where you can hunt for artefacts), no random anomaly spreading all over the place like in SoC, CS, or the original novel itself, so you can run anywhere in the darkest night with heavy thunderstorm without throwing bolts to ensure your path is safe or whirlgig.
Also rate mutants like pseudogiants, bloodсука, even chimeras, only spawned randomly and rarely in the late game. Even dogs is not a threat anymore.
You can clean all the bs here 15:21 without doing the Auschwitz gas chamber method. Just talk to Beard (then he ask you to find the gas), grab shotgun and some ammo, jump to one of the panel (the first one on the right side of stair) and shoot 'em all.
Man, I forgot how uninviting these games are, they always take a while to get into, but once you do they're just so immersive. It's one of those world's where you don't necessarily feel like the hero, like everything is happening because of you; you just exist within it.
Wondering about the history of each location, each anomaly, each mutant, such a rich yet vague world. I'd spend so long just examining anomaly areas, seeing how the world has transformed.
I know you're moving onto Mods now, but the Stalker games have so few decent playthroughs, I'd absolutely love to see you finish either Chernobyl or this one!

Hey Jayvee, you uh... You just walk up to Noah like any other Stalker, the internet is wrong.
Also the GAMMA modpack is really all you need to make Stalker as good as it can be as a free form open world experience
The Anti-radiation drugs remove radiation already in the body; you need something that gives you large amounts of radiation resistance or protection, like a SEVA suit or some drugs from the local black market pharmaceutical
And finally, the second Stalker game is actually Clear Sky 😂
Army of Two, burnout games, ghost recon trilogy, TenchuZ, Fear games, N3 Ninety Nine Nights, Turok, and TOO HUMAN which was a very fun RPG/MMO that got me into the genre's. it's dated but from memory was quite fun.

I love how he keeps marvelling at how pretty the Zone is "for an old game", as if it's not just gorgeous in general, and all we had were Atari 2600 and Tiger handheld games until just a couple years ago. I mean yeah, 2007 is quite a while ago now, but graphical quality advanced waaay more in the 10 years prior to that than it has in the 16 since, IMO. FEAR (I vote yes, BTW) came out 2 years before STALKER, and that still looks pretty damn good, too.
Anyway, I'm glad you're finally getting to experience one of the greatest and most unique FPSes of all time, and I hope you make more of these videos on it, I can't get enough. Good luck, stalker!
SoC is a lot of people’s favorite stalker game but CoP is so much better imo. I love how dense the maps are. I’ve spent countless hours in Zaton and Yanov. Out of all of the maps from the three games those two are the most fun to explore.

I'm surprised that bullet spongy myth still exist, on master damage output is normal, when lower ones just give you up to 20% bonus (and bonus in ONLY in SoC)
It feels like people just had experience with awful bullet spread with SoC PMm and think it's the enemy health
It's even funnier he picked that in CoP, where they give you a rifle in the beginning that solves bullet spread issue

Nice video. I recommend mod named Lost Alpha it's one of the biggest mod on Stalker and one of oldest. It's add cutted area and quests and many many other, and remake old areas and quests. And i don't recommend Misery and Dead air. It's hardcore mods with new gameplay features. There is a story mods but I haven't played any of them.

I played trough this game so many times I can't even remember.. It's funny when you say that "the internet says..." and it's a totally crap advice, like leave Noah alone, he just shoots when you open the door and then you can talk to him and you cannot enter main bases with weapons in hand but there is no lockdown unless you attack them.

You should try playing Clear Sky. Call of Pripyat is obviously the best one in terms of mechanics and stuff, but Clear Sky is like Call of Pripyat but with Shadow of Chernobyl's map. You couldn't modify weapons in the first game, but you could in CS and CoP.

one of the best if not the best shooter I`ve played (over and over again in multiple mods). It combines a huge dark landscape, a great story that leaves you always wanting a little more, supernatural and normal enemies and things all well balanced that traps the player. The freedom to wander and roam searching for things and the choice of doing or ignoring the missions makes it almost a neverending adventure.

Call of Pripyat is awesome, I was amazed you could upgrade the exoskeleton to the point you could add hydraulics to sprint.
Call of Chernobyl is probs my favourite mod coz it combines all 3 vanilla games into one and very easy to install.
I have tried to play Anomaly, but I wasn’t able to pull out my PDA, so I had to uninstall in a fit of rage.
But the vanilla is just as good.
Regarding Anomaly, you probably had no batteries for it or didn't have one at all, since its a seperate equipable item in Anomaly. Anyways you did good uninstalling it, just wait until Blindxside finishes his weapon reanimation packs, its honestly the only reason to try that piece of garbage, call of chernobyl is much better.

Call of Chernobyl was much more simpler coz it was easy to install and more close to the vanilla games instead of being an insane overhaul. What about the gunslinger mod? Is that a good mod as well?
@@st.paddymad7085 Why the need to say sorry? Anomaly is overrated as all hell, gamma too, but with even more eye candy graphics and whatever else. So much changed in these mods that I don't really consider these to be stalker at all, they lack the charm the original games have with all the extra bullshit they add.
Call of Chernobyl takes less space to download, yes, but installing both mods isn't difficult.
As for the Gunslinger mod, it's good, it's a shame that it was made for Call of Pripyat, where you don't really shoot a lot except for mutants and the occasional zombies, you know, being a gun focused mod and all.
From what I've played personally, multiple versions as the mod updated, it just feels incomplete as not all the vanilla weapons have been redone in gunslinger, being replaced in the meantime with upgraded variants of existing guns, oh and the performance and stability of the mod could use a lot of fixing, this mod loves to crash at the most annoying times.

I saw a couple memes saying that Anomaly and Gamma were a mod,of a mod, of a mod and a overhaul, of a overhaul, and so forth. And I guess that is the truth from what I hear.
Gunslinger is more likely to be eye-candy? I guess that’s understandable.
As for Gunslinger, I never tried that mod, just saw the gun animations and wanted to try it out, but in hindsight, it is annoying that Monolith and the Mercenaries to an extent are the only hostile factions from the get-go, apart from zombies and the animals, that you can fight against. I can guess Call of Pripyat tried to be more like Fallout New Vegas with being neutral to almost all of the factions and having to go out your way to be enemies against.
Call of Chernobyl felt proper and I liked how you could choose your own faction to start with.
As for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, I just hope it’s a combo of Call of Chernobyl, Gunslinger, the return of cut content and a mix of new stuff altogether.
I’m positive about S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 and I’m sure it’ll be great.
@@st.paddymad7085 nono, Gunslinger has a few addons like Absolute Nature, which overhaul how the levels look and add a few extra trees and whatnot, and a weather overhaul called CGIM2, but they're optional. It's mainly gameplay focused.
And yeah, Anomaly and Gamma are pretty much heavily modified Call of Chernobyl clones.
I hope to Grigorovich that he will make S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 modder-friendly, as it will die off super fucking fast as games these years tend to do, also heavily doubt it will be like Call of Chernobyl, expect it to be a massive graphical leap, kind of like the old games gameplay wise but barely.
Also Call of Pripyat was released before Fallout New Vegas, so nah I think they just wanted more exploration, less shooting.
0:13 dammit this is a massive misconception by fans that don't know better, Master does not make enemies less bulletspongy. What it does is it makes YOU less bulletspongy (in CS, makes you take 6x as much damage as compared to Easy, CoP is 2x more damage relative to easy), and the AI gets better range at throwing grenades, plus it limits your loot. That's it, nothing else.

I remember playing through SoC and Clear Sky unmodded for the first time. I had a blast, so with CoP i decided for some reason i still can't understand to get a mod for it instead of playing vanilla.

I don't know if you finished Call of Pripyat but Gunslinger is an insane upgrade over vanilla, but in a good way, leaving vanilla mostly the same while having massive improvements across the board.
gunslinger makes it so you cant kill burers- its literally impossible to kill them.

and after that try anomaly its pretty much all of stalker packaged together and its something thats easy to mod
If were going by release order its shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and then Call Of Pripyat. If your gonna play clear sky you'd wanna download vanilla mods since its the most buggy out of the three. At the end of the story I'd recommend buying a shitload of bandages and med kits.
