Ingredients :
Raw banana 2 nos
Salt
Turmeric
Jaggery
Tamarind paste 1 tb sp
Green chilli 2
Coconut oil 1 tb sp
For masala powder:
Mustard 1.5 tsp
Red chilli 4-5
Fresh coconut 1 cup
Salt a little
For tempering :
Oil 1 tb sp
Mustad 1 tsp
Red chilli 2
Curry leaves a few
Method:
Peel the skin of banana and chop into small pieces. Put them into water immediately to avoid discoloring.
Place a Kadai on stove. Start with tempering. As mustard starts spluttering add in chopped banana, mix once. Add water to immerse banana, add in salt, turmeric, jaggery, green chilli mix once cover the lid and cook. Once it's cooked 75% add in tamarind mix once and cook again.
Make powder using mustard and red chilli at first. To this add coconut and salt. Coarse grind it.
Add this masala to cooked banana, mix everything well. Finally add 1 tb coconut oil from too and mix again. This gives a nice aroma to the dish.
