I quit my job as a registered nurse last two years ago after almost 12 years in the field. It was not an easy decision, but life is too short to dread going to work everyday. No amount of money can buy real happiness lol😁but friends I'm not asking you to resign from your job or abandon your business but be wise!

As a previous consultant, consulting is the quintessential “fake it til you make it” career. Imagine someone telling you how to improve something that they’ve actually never done in their entire career but something similar “worked” w/ another client and then putting it in a pretty deck, that’s literally consulting (as well as superficial “coffee chats” w/ Partners and Senior Mgrs lol).

I just keep on seeing it happen and it's so interesting. I recently watched your vlog awhile back and wondered if you were gonna quit soon as well. Here it is. Legit after many management consultant vlogs they all ended up quitting in a pretty close time frame. I hope all goes well with you now.

Hey man, you didn't ask for this. I'm a new viewer to your channel, I noticed a lot your statements end with a up intonation, even though it's not a question. An up intonation is normally used in a question and makes it sound like you are unsure. Try using a downward intonation in all sentences that are not a question to make yourself sound more confident. :)
I recently created a "I quit my job" video on well which is probably why I got recommended your video. Best of luck with your new job!

Suggest after u finish that,,,apprenticeship, find a new location. For pay hike n everything. IN d BIG 4 consuting. Its Dog eat DOG. Lots GOOD dogs, n lots evil, also there some slackers where they just blend in trying to wait for other dogs get tired, they jump ahead. BUT the ones actually consultant, do their work, and have high interpersonal communication/set bundaries, bridge the gap (if LARGE coprations clients throw shades, buffer the insult n deliver to lower tier gentally, stand up for team mates, n defend urself etc when partners, other coworkers/managers try to malicious throw under the bus, NOT OVER share ur personal info, or silly things do at work, so ppl wont pass around back stab).
This sounds inane evil. ITS--in every work environment. But just d BIG FOUR is so LARGE, it concentrate a LOT of talented ppl together, thats when the Adequacy is NO longer enough, interpersonal communication skills n over all adaptation comes to play.
When I was 15, my Dad in Busienss consulting,,,,always busy. N told me he had to deal with extremely insane clients wants INSULTING high quality delivery in low budget price, while how to deal with ppl work UNDER u ,that in small companies u contract them to do d work that had to pay 300 workers to feed their family. Etc. n Once a YEar, just take the job that FEEd the Factory/production keep Their Busienss flow, so next yr they keep their PRODUCTION LINE FREE (high quality production line), that when GOOD contract come in, he can have First pick. N dealing with Douch bag bankers, government officials, transportation, docking, booking rentals all sorts.
Its INSANE. Every day diff challenge. IF someone Hired as Junior in BIG FOUR--n they quit, it could be finance, audit, real estate , IT llllall sorts consulting.
That means the company hired them as Junior with no prior experience, n they are NOT going to move UP MUCH. 1 Government REQUIRE large companies to hire New Grad/interms, 2 they do have junior role to fill.
But ppl get HIRED TOO early they do NOT learn MUCH at all, n they stuck in boring role. Thinking they are GOING to move UP, but they never willl, or they move slow very slow, because . MID/HIGH tier high pay constants have MIMIMAL 5-10 yr Professional working experience (matching working field ) . Like something breaks down. They know exact what --Caused it, what they need to do. What this the Possible best choice when there all bad out come with whatever problem solving it is there (things fall apart not at fault but something breaks at clients site, still have to fix for the client).
N usually the NOT evil, NICE honest , good workers are VERY VERY well liked. Cuz the Douch bags in those companies ppl are fed up with, n the ones want SKIP to the top,,,they dont cover well, ppl do NOT like them cuz they see enough of those. They are quickly :”u are fake. “
GOOD LUCK. ITS VERY challenging but HIGH reward. Some Black guy, Indian guy in the team that someone that I know closely,,,,r like just good good good workers, their job get recognized. The Indian guy was sent to d other team innitially, that team manager turn out to be an Karen thats actually abusive . They Unpluged the guy send to diff team, n took the Manager away from “ppl managing all together”. The guy just be thriving ever since. Like so happy. So stories like that are very very common. Thats like Dog eat Dog, but most Tod them are NOT bad dogs, u meet good dogs, they HAVE your back n going forward unified.
      Good luck young man. :)

Depends. If u are intern, prob 30-40k something. Doing things that robotic n generic. IF u are FULL time contractor, Full time Junior role, 55-68K depends ur experience,
IF u are like NEW GRAD. Expecting buttom pay :) :) :) , its ITS an UTTER INSULT for the Senior consultants who has gone thru like Full term school, actually worked at least 2-4 diff companies for diff roles with real life experience. That new grad….just auto bump. New grad get over $70000 It NEVER happens. Because their is a cap how much they can do. Very little beyond cozy up to clients. Its unfortunate cuz they are NOT there.
Kinda like Team coach, u cant really coach much when u are like new grad. They do NOT give u coach job so u end up learning. So new Grad going to Big four is not gettin BIG pay.
The ppl make $120/k are HIGHLY skilled ppl CANT even have time to EAT LUNCh that even someone bring food to their desk . They do NOT have time to make youtube videos. Lol.
